She ran out of Irving Hall feeling guilt, anger, betrayal, sadness all at once as tears threatened to fall. She was mad at herself for acting the way she did whether Jack deserved it or not. He could have gone back back to that girl for all she knew.
She ran to the street lamp further down the street and sat down on the curb as tears cascaded down her cheeks. She heard footsteps turn towards her.
"Can I sit down?" an all too familiar voice asks. She nods and wipes her face not wanting him to see her like this. He takes a seat next to her on the curb.
"I'm sorry," she whispers hoping he'll forgive her.
"No, I'm sorry. I cheated an' made ya cry. But I jus' want ta know, why'd ya kiss 'im?" he asked.
"I don't what came over me. I saw him standing there, so fueled with anger and wanting to hurt you, I kissed him," she explains looking away ashamed with how she dealt with it. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have dealt with it like that," she tells him looking over to him. He cups her cheek and wipes her fallen tears away.
"It's me fault. I hurt da only person I have evah loved," he whispered.
"Do you really mean that?" she asks in disbelief he thought of her more than just another girl.
"Every woid," he smiles making her smile.
"I love you, too," she says back before he crashes his lips against hers for a passionate yet sweet kiss. They both break away yet keep their proximity.
"To be honest she was a pretty bad kissah," he tells her making her laugh. "Am I a bettah kissah den Mush?" he asks jokingly.
"Close call, but," she leads off kissing him once more. "You're better."
