3rd Person

"I'm not going to know anybody there," she says not feeling like going to a newsie party.

"I'll intraduce ya. Da boys ah dyin' ta know who I've been leavin' 'em foah," Jack tells her not giving her a reason to miss out.

"I'll think about it," she tells him.

"Great, I hope ta see ya tanight," Jack smiles giving her a small peck on the cheek.

They have been dating exclusively for a month now. Nobody knows they are dating and she would like to keep it that way. Her family would never allow her to talk to a newsie let alone date one. If they found out, there's no telling what they would do.

But, she likes Jack too much to let him go. She has fallen for him hard and she just hopes he thinks of her more than just another girl.

....

She makes her way to Irving Hall excited yet nervous. She didn't want to risk the chance of someone seeing them, so she made sure to tell Jack to meet her there.

She walked up the grand staircase with red carpet already being able to hear the newsies. She opened the double doors and took in the sight. There were newsies everywhere, some of them with girls. They were smoking, talking, and laughing. There seemed to be newsies from all over New York.

She looked around not being able to see Jack anywhere.

"Um, excuse me, do you know where Jack Kelly is?" she asked a newsie. He had brown hair and matching eyes. He was handsome to say the least. A lot of the newsies here were pretty easy on the eyes.

"Who are you?" he asked curiously.

"I'm (Y/N)," she clarifies.

"Oh, Jack's girl. I saw him go that way," he points to the right of where they were.

"Thank you...," she leas off.

"Mush."

"Well, Mush, thank you. It was nice meeting you," she says politely.

"You as well," he replies before she walks off in the direction he gave her. Her eyes scanned the room before landing on someone making her wish she never came.

"Jack?" she asked making him pull away from the unknown girl. Tears threatened to fall, but she wouldn't let him see her fall apart. She tore her eyes away from him and turned around.

"(Y/N), wait, I can explain," he called, but she wasn't turning around. Feeling anger boil inside of her and wanting to cause him pain like he did to her, she walked up to Mush and kissed him. His arms snaked around her waist as her hands held onto his neck pulling him closer as Jack watched. Their lips moved against each other as Jack shook his head and left. She pulled away from Mush immediately regretting her decision.

A-N- Suspense! I'm planning on a part 2, tho so don't worry!
