(3rd Person)

He held up his hand yelling out some headlines trying to gain the attention of pedestrians but having no such luck. He walked down the same street that he was saved on. Although it's been two weeks, her face was still fresh in his mind repeating the words he has yet to understand. He wishes he knew that beautiful girl's name or at least see her again. She saved his life. The least he could do is thank her.

She sat alone in her bay window in her room. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get him out of her mind. All she could think about was his bright blue eyes and curly brown hair. Or the way he looked at her when he opened his eyes. She wanted to see him again- no, she needed to see him again. She needed to know it wasn't all in her head. That she wasn't making things up.

She crept down the stairs of her house making her way to the door. Her father was at work, her brother was also at work, and her sister was in her room giving her a chance to slip away.

But as she sauntered through the city looking through the crowds trying to find him, something crossed her mind bringing down her spirits. What is she going to say to him?

"Inferno in Queens killing hundreds!" she heard him yell the exaggerated headlines and selling papers to people here and there. She grabbed a nickel from her pocket and made her way to him. "One penny, please," he grabs a paper to hand to her without looking up. He raised his head to look at his customer. His eyes widened in shock as they shared eye contact. She giggled and looked down blushing madly as he was snapped out of his thought.

"I'm sorry. Have we met?" he asked looking back at her. "You look familiar," he went on.

"I don't think we have. I'm (Y/N)," she held out her hand for him to shake.

"Davey," he smiled shaking her hand.

"I must get going. It was a pleasure meeting you," she told him.

"The pleasure is all mine. Will I see you around?" he inquired handing her a paper.

She handed him a nickel before answering, "Hopefully."

*Two Days Later*

The sun was setting as Davey made his way to his apartment glad that he finally finished selling.

She was taking a stroll before her father came home enjoying the cool air and golden light.

They both turned a corner at the same time, both not looking where they were going and colliding with each other.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention," she apologized before looking up. "Davey," her eyes met his as a smile tugged at her lips.

"Hey," he greeted not knowing what to say, but not wanting her to leave. "What are you doing so late?" he asked even though it wasn't that late.

"I was just taking a walk," she replied without mentioning her strict father.

"Mind if I joined you?"

"Not at all," she smiled as they began walking together. They talked about anything and everything- well almost. She never mentioned who her father was in fear of him judging her because of it. They neared her house and she began to get nervous. She knew her father was already home, and she knew he knew she was gone. She stopped once they reached her house.

They faced each other ass she began to speak, "I had a good time."

"Me too," he replied before they both began to lean in. Their lips were centimeters away before her door was fiercely opened making them jump away. There, in the doorway, was her father.

"(Y/N), it's time to come in," her father interrupted them. He was boiling with anger, but he spared the boy. He disappeared inside not wanting to errupt in front of the stranger.

"Sorry about that," she nervously laughed. "I'll see you later?"

"Yeah," he smiled ignoring the fact that she never told him that her father was William Randolph Hearst. "Goodnight," he said.

"Goodnight," she replied giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before scurrying inside. He turned around and walked away with a smile on his face and her delicate kiss lingering on his cheek.
