(3rd Person)

He joked with Kid Blink throwing his head back in laughter as Blink shared another joke with him. The two could talk all day. After all, they are best friends. They kept talking and laughing.

Then he saw her. He stopped laughing as his eyes fell upon her perfect sillouette. He couldn't look away from her. She, not noticing him, kept walking. Blink could see his stare and turned to what he was looking at seeing her.

"Ah ya gonna talk ta 'er?" he asked his friend. Mush shook his head.

"I can't. She won't rememba me. And I don't know what I'd say ta 'er. So much has changed," he rattles off excuses. But Blink could see right through his words. Mush was nervous. He was scared to talk to her after not seeing her for so long. She comes to New York to visit her grandmother and grandfather for the summer before returning to her parents until next summer.

The last time she was there, they became best friends. But now, after not seeing her for a year, all of his feelings for her resurfaced. He fell in love with her, and now he doesn't even know if she'll remember him.

"I'm suah she'll rememba ya. How could she fahget?" Blink encouraged him. Mush took a breath as Blink gave him an encouraging pat of the back. Mush nodded his head as he began walking towards her trying to muster up all the courage to talk to her. To tell her everything.

"(Y/N)," he says with a smile gaining her attention. She turned to him, her face lighting up upon seeing him. She walked towards him.

"Mush," she replied engulfing him in a hug. He wrapped his arms around her as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "I've missed you," she tells him.

"I've missed ya too."

"How are you? It's been so long," she pulls away from him and starts the conversation.

"I've been okay. Just da usual. Sellin' papes 'n all. How ah ya?" he asked back scratching the back of his neck.

"I've been great. It's nice to be back in Manhattan. I love it here," she tells him with her bright smile plastered on her face.

"Do ya wanna take a walk?" he asked once she was done talking before she replied a 'sure'. They walked and talked all the way to the river just catching up with each other and hearing what they've missed over the year.

He had so much to tell her. He wanted to tell her how he feels. He wanted to make her his, but he didn't know how. He didn't know if she even liked him like that. And he was afraid of rejection.

She knew he was holding back something, she just didn't know what.

Everyone could tell they both liked each other except them. They smiled and laughed with each other enjoying each other's company.

"(Y/N)," he stops walking and turned to her. She gave him her full attention as he continued, "Ya know I've missed ya, and I want da whole summa ta be like dis- you 'n me. 'Cause I really like ya. I've liked ya since I met ya. Ya da most beautiful and funnest person I've met and I don't wanna stop bein' wit ya," he finished his speech leaving her speechless.

"Mush, I like you, too," she replied stepping closer to him. He smiled leaning towards her as she met him halfway. Their lips touched as she held onto his neck and he to her waist. She leaned her head to the side to deepen the kiss as their lips moved insync them both feeling sparks from the kiss. And then, right there, the world was perfect. Every noise was silent except the sound of their beating hearts. The peaceful evening surrounded them as if they were disconnected from everything else and it was only them two. Romance was in the atmosphere as the sunsetted creating a perfect picture.

They were in love. Too in love to let distance break them apart. The future was uncertain. But their love was everlasting.
