"Davey, I really like you," I confess staring right into his deep blue eyes.

"I really like you too, Kayleigh," he replies. He leans in as I do the same smiling into the kiss. Our lips brushed-

"Carrying da banna," Mr. Klopman yells at all of us to get ready. I rub the sleep out of my eyes and yawn attempting to fully wake up even though all I want to do is fall back alseep and finish the dream or at least continue it. I get up and make my way to the bathroom. I get ready and follow the boys out of the lodging house. We walked to the distribution center and met Davey there.

"Hey, Kayleigh," he said walking over to me.

"Hey," I put a piece of my brown hair behind my ears subconsciously.

"I have to go get my papers," he says. "I'll talk to you later," he starts to walk away as I mumble a small 'okay'. I step in line as Mush and Kid Blink walk up to me.

"So, what's wit you and Davey," Kid Blink asks as my eyes go wide.

"Nothing. Why?" I ask trying to act normal.

"Well, ya do talk in ya sleep and ya bed is right next ta me," Mush explains and my mouth forms an 'o'.

"What did you hear?" I press further.

"That ya like him," he answers.

"Well, I kind of do, so please don't tell him," I plead.

"Okay, fine."

"Thanks," I tell them as they leave and get their own papers. I get my own papers and walk out of the distribution center to start selling.

"Kayleigh," I hear someone call my name. I turn around and found Davey walking up to me. "Can I sell with you today?" he asks.

"Aren't you selling with Jack?"

"I always sell with Jack and I want to sell with you today," he replies.

"Oh, okay. Yeah, of course," my normal tone becoming shaky. He walked along side me as we both screamed outrageous headlines gaining attention from the pedestrians.

It began to get late as we sold our last papers.

"It's getting late," Davey tells me. "I should find Les. We need to get home soon," he continues. I nod in agreement as we begin to walk back to the lodging house. We get to the lodging house, but Davey stops once we reach the door.

"Kayleigh, before we go in, I need to tell you something," he tells me. I mumble a small 'okay' as he leads me further away from the lodging house. I gulp as my palms become sweaty. My curiosity grows upon wondering what he needs to tell me.

"What do you need to tell me?" I ask quietly.

"I overheard you talking to Mush and Kid Blink," he confesses. "And I just want to say, I really like you, too," he finishes and his blue eyes meet my own blue eyes. He leans in as I do the same needing no more words to be spoken. His lips touch mine as butterflies roam in my stomach. Electricy shoots through me upon his touch. I lean my head to deepen the kiss as my hands hold onto his neck pulling and his arms snake around my waist pulling me closer. We both pull away to catch our breaths.

"What about your cousin?"

"Jack trusts you. I'm sure he's fine with it and if he isn't, I don't really care," I tell him as he smiles from my answer. He pulls me in for another kiss as I imediately kiss back.
