You walked through the streets of Manhattan trying to find Jack. You navigated through all the people while a smile spread on your face because of last night. You met Jack a couple days ago and things have gone by fast. You really liked him, but there was only one thing. You were Seitz's beloved daughter, but that didn't stop you. You just wanted to forget about your rich life and be a normal teenager. And Jack made you feel normal and carefree.

Last night you attended one of Medda's parties with him. You had such a great time and afterwards you had your real first kiss with him. You blushed at the memory of his lips on yours. To you, you two were practically a couple, but you didn't want to jump to conclusions. You wanted him to ask you.

As you neared the lodging house, you saw Jack. With another girl. You stopped walking and just stood there staring at them. He kissed her quickly before she walked away. You started walking closer to him as curiosity got the best of you, but something told you that you didn't want to know.

"Hey, (Y/N)," he said once you got close enough.

"Hey. Who was that?" you ask.

"Oh, dat was Leila, me goilfriend," he explained as if it didn't matter.

"Your girlfriend?" Jack nodded. You were so confused by this point. "So, last night meant nothing?" you went on.

"Listen, (Y/N)," he started. "we could neva be tagetha. You were my hot, rich goilfriend and I was you carefree boyfriend. It was nice and we both got somethin' out of it, but, no, I don't feel anythin'," Jack told you.

"Oh, okay," you turned around as tears blurred your vision.

"Wait did ya feel anythin'?" he questioned.

"No."
