3rd Person

"Are you okay, Jack?" Davey questions noticing how strange Jack was acting. Jack was nervous to say the least.

"Y-yeah, of course," Jack assured him as Spot saunters into Tibby's.

"You good, Jacky-boy?" Spot notices as well as he takes a seat next to him.

"I jus' have a bit on me mind," Jack tells them.

"Like what?" Race urges him to continue.

"I'm- I'm gonna propose ta Kay," he says quieting down a bit.

"When?" Davey asks wanting to know more about his plans.

"I don't know. I gotta talk ta Denton foist," he answers running a hand through his hair.

"Ya suah 'bout dis?" Spot begins to get protective.

"Of course. I may not have me whole life figured out, but what I do know is dat I love Kay and I want ta spend da rest of me life wit her," he tells them.

"Well, Jack," Davey starts. "Good luck. I know that you love Kay and I know that you'll protect her," he finishes as Spot agrees. Jack gives them a grateful smile before leaving the restaurant and heading to Denton's apartment.

Jack raises his hand to knock on Denton's door. He was more nervous than ever. He quickly knocks and after only a couple seconds, the door opens, revealing Denton behind it.

"Jack, what are you doing here?" he asks.

"May I come in?" Jack questions before Denton opens the door all the way, letting Jack in.

"What brings you here?" Denton repeats his question from only a few moments ago.

"I would be honored ta have ya daughter's hand in marriage," Jack comes out and says what was one his mind.

"Jack, I've known you for a while now. In the time that I've known you, you have shown you are a great leader and a great man," Denton pauses. "Will you take care of Kay?"

"Of course," Jack replies. "She's my whole world. I love with every piece of me," Jack finishes.

"Well, then I give you my blessing," Denton smiles shaking Jack's hand.

....

"What are we doing here?" Kay asks as they reach the Brooklyn docks. Jack held onto her hand while they stood close to edge. His brown eyes stared into her blue ones.

Being here with her made him think when he first met her. Neither of them would have thought this is where they would be today.

"Kay, ya know I love ya wit all my heart. I seem ta fall moah in love wit ya every day. An' I want ta spend dah rest of me life like dis. So, Kayleigh Denton, will ya marry me?" he kneels down on one knee as happy tears blurred her vision.

"Yes. Absolutely yes," she smiles before he picks her up, spinning her around. "I love you so much," she tells him wrapping her arms around his neck.

"I love ya moah," he smiles keeping his hands on her waist. They lean in before their lips touch for a kiss full of passion. He moved his head to the side to deepen the kiss before they both pulled away.

"What about my father?" she asks.

"I already talked ta 'im," he replies making her smile. It meant the world to Kay that Jack had already talked to her father since they are so close and Jack knew that. He'd do anything to keep her brilliant smile on her face. "Ya know I'd do anythin' for ya," he told her keeping her close to him.

"And I'd do anything for you."
