So, I kinda thought that having a dragon slayer was too generic, y'know? So, I improved Jade and tried to the best of my abilities to NOT make her Mary Sue! Did I totally fail at that? I dunno. So I told my artsy friend, Nami, or @Akward_Roserade  about her, and she drew her, along with her little group of animal companions. XD So, here she is!

So, meet Jade Star, the first, and most likely the last ever artificial dragon. Jade was born to a noble family, just on the edge of Fiore. When she was 7, her younger sister, Kira, snuck out right over the border, to visit her friend, Princess Christina. Jade had met her, but it was only formally. But one night, Kira had dragged Jade with her. And just as soon as the left Fiore, they were ambushed. The were taken to a tall tower, but this was NOTHING like the Tower Of Heaven. In this place, instead of working them, these people performed experiments on their prisoners. And these 'scientists' were devoted to bringing back the legendary beasts. What were the legendary beasts? Dragon, Pheonixes, Angels, Demons, Gods, etc. They had succeeded in everything but the two, Gods, and Dragons. And one day, when using a new formula, they had created an artificial dragon. What did she become? The dragon of chaos, why? Because they had mixed the dragon of destruction, Acnologia, and the Dragon of the Eclipse, Dusk's DNA, thus creating Jade. Now Jade had never experienced this intense pain before, being pampered her entire life, she  went on a rampage. She killed all 'mortals' (I put quotes because Jade is still Mortal, she can be killed just like everyone else.)in her path, and almost killed her sister, because Jade still felt like this was her fault. But Jade was taken out in one hit, and was almost killed by the attack. The attack was called Dancing Blades, and it was performed by the one and only Marilyn, the artificial Nature Pheonix. Now, the attack wasn't even that strong, it's just that a snail has better defense than Jade. (#SorryNotSorry) So, after Jade woke up from being in a coma for like, FOREVER, ok, a day... Marilyn started teaching her the moves of the Nature Pheonix. Day after day, week after week, month after month- ok you get it -Jade became more and more reliant on her Nature Pheonix slaying, and the only thing reminding her of her past, were her eyes. They had injected he formula into both of her eyes, and it had turned her once beautiful jade green eyes (hence her name), to a sickening bright blue and vivid yellow. Now, her left eye was blue, while her right was yellow, to clear things up. Jade had always hated the way the formula had changed her eyes. And Marilyn had noticed this. So, in the middle of training, Marilyn gave Jade anime contacts, which turned her eyes purple. After that, Jade had focused more on her training, than on how her eyes looked. Then, as Jade's training came to an end, so did Marilyn life. So, on Jade's last day of training, Marilyn collapsed. Marilyn told Jade how she was surprised she had lived that long, since Pheonixes only live 10 years at most, and Marilyn had been one for 20. She then cupped Jade's tear soaked face and said, "My dear child, no need to cry, just remember this... Every Pheonix burns... out..." And with that, Marilyn took one breath, and became still once more. Jade screamed. Once again, something had been taken from her, and once again, she would do everything she could to stop it. Then Jade realized something. Pheonixes were reborn. Even if the were shot by hunters, their soul would fly away  and be reborn. She watched as her soul began to float away. But Jade wouldn't let happen. Jade jumped up, grabbing the soul, just before it became out of her reach. She then looked around for something sh could put the soul in, because at the moment, it was struggling, and Jade couldn't hold it forever. She then looked down at her locket. The present that Marilyn had given her three years ago, for her 8th birthday. She opened the locket, and smiled at the picture. It was of Marilyn giving Jade a piggyback ride, when they were at Disney Land on Earth. But Jade was running out of time. She quickly stuffed the soul in her locket, sealing it there. (Kinda like a Pokeball.) She then opened the locket, sending Marilyn out, but this time, as  literal Pheonix. Marilyn was angry at first, but then softened when she saw how happy Jade was to see her. Jade was the only who Marilyn spoke to in english, all the other people and animals- besides pheonixes -heard was squaks. Marilyn directed Jade towards Dragon's Lotus, and guild located in Fire Red Town. On the way, Jade found a cat. A very scarred cat. Her name was Thorn, and she WAS  very thorny. If you did anything wrong, Thorn would either give you a beating, or a very loud screaming session, which was just as painful. As soon as they made it to the guild, Jade was accepted immediately. But Jade did not like being accepted for nothing. She wanted to be respected, not tossed aside. So whenever someone said something she didn't like, she'd knee them in the crotch. If they were  male that is. If they were female, she'd just use Double Slap. (Pokemon reference anyone?? Eh, eh?) Soon, everyone became slightly terrified of Jade. Except for two people. Stellar and Christy. They kept bugging her about 'You need to stop being some sort of gangster! You're like, 11!' Soon, Jade gave in. Not because she wanted to, but because she wanted them to stop. So, Jade became nicer. And if Marilyn liked them, then Jade did too. And Marilyn LOVED Stellar and Christy. So Jade started talking to them more frequently. And soon enough, they started going on jobs together, and got into a TON of messes. XD So, here's a SHORTER summary of Jade's backstory:

Jade has the worst defense ever. She's got about the attention span of a donut. She is slightly powerful, but can be taken out if she's not careful. She hates her eyes. And she's a badass in some ways. XD Yup, so slightly choppy, but yeah! XD
