THE WAYS OF DESTINY 

"I love you, Ranbir." Prachi said burying her face in Ranbir's chest, while Ranbir wrapped his arms around her. 

"I love you too, Prachi."  Ranbir whispered, so softly that only Prachi could hear. But the two were unknown to the eavesdropper, and the person was really happy with what they were seeing. Now, she had found a way to succeed in her plan, and she would ensure that succeeded in it permanently this time. Swiftly, the eavesdropper rushed towards someone's room, wanting to give her this 'exciting' news.

Shahana frowned, this wasn't what she wanted. She never did. "I'm so sorry Prachi but - but I did what I did for your betterment! You know how evil Riya is," Shahana whispered and pleaded for forgiveness.

Prachi looked at her best friend, with tears in her eyes. She knew that she didn't mean any harm but - but should she really forgive her? Wouldn't it be better to keep Shahana in the dark? It would make her less of a target for Alia and Prachi frowned a lot when she thought about how Alia would react when she found out about Aryan and Shahana's relationship. Alia couldn't tolerate Pragya with Abhi all because she was a middle class girl, how would she tolerate Shahana with Aryan, her own son? 

Prachi shook those thoughts off and looked at Shahana with a pained expression. 

"I'm sorry Shahana, I can't forgive you, I won't. You - you did this to her! And I won't forgive for it," Prachi whispered while Shahana looked at her sole sister with a shattered look. 

With a heavy heart, Shahana slowly walked away from the purest person she had known since childhood, but the only thing that was different about that person was she wasn't the same Prachi who was her sole sister, and she never could be. They didn't keep secrets from one another, at least not serious ones and now - now she was drifting away from her family all for that Riya. Shahana's hatred for Riya had increased tenfold, she had already separated Prachi and Ranbir, wasn't that enough for her?

A man looked around within the confines of his room, it was ready that much he knew. But was it the right time to execute it? He had carefully planned each detail of this scheme for 15 years, it couldn't go wrong. Could it? The man sighed as he realised his weak point - he was never ready to strike. Maybe somewhere deep down he pitied the woman who had ruined his life? Why shouldn't he? She was so full of venom, hatred, and had such an evil mind - he pitied what would become of her in the other world. He looked towards his best friend, looking for confirmation that what he was doing was indeed right, and not wrong but then he realised and after receiving an assuring nod from her, he picked up his phone and started the first phase of his plan. But somewhere in the back of his mind, one thought was still disturbing him. What if he was innocent? 

MY ONE TRUE LOVE 

"Why? Why is that every time I try to do something good, try to help someone you drive them away from me? Why do you make me love if I don't ever get to be with them?!" A man shouts, tears trickling down his face. He didn't care what everyone else thought at this point, he wouldn't bottle his emotions up, not again, anyway.

"Maybe because nothing is meant to last forever?" the girl beside him whispered in a hushed tone, swallowing her own tears. She could understand her brother better than anyone, but why couldn't he understand her? Hadn't they experienced the same pain? Hadn't they both been forced to go away from their loved ones?

"Di, she - I - mom had an accident!" Riya whispers while Kiara looks at Riya in shock. 

"Do Dad and Prachi know?" Kiara asks trying to keep her tears at bay.

Riya shakes her head, while Kiara rushes to tell the rest of their family about Pragya's accident. Riya just stays stuck on her spot praying that her mother remains fine. She knew that if anything were to happen to her mother right now, she would be driven away from the rest of the family out of guilt. She had had so many chances, so many opportunities to tell her, and now, she might never have the chance to again and all she could do was regret.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Ranbir yells, looking at Prachi with worry while Prachi just averts her gaze, not having the courage to meet his eyes.

"I did what was necessary Ranbir, I had no other choice!" Prachi whispers, while Ranbir just looks at her, disappointed. 

"I never expected this Prachi, I never did. I always wanted to tell you something, but maybe some things are best left unsaid." Ranbir whispers and leaves a sobbing Prachi alone, while tears brim Ranbir's eyes.
