Chapter 10

Alright so sorry I haven't updated in awhile but I've been really busy with work and school..and ugh. I'm also thinking about ending this story within the next few chapters, just because I don't really know where I'm going with this anymore and I'm getting kinda bored with it. But I do plan on writing another Spiderman story in the near future so theres that. I haven't quite decided if the Avengers will be in it or not, but they most likely will be. So yeah. yay thanks for continuing to read!!! :)

Harry stepped up to the door of the Parker residence, and knocked against the glass storm door of the small house. He didn’t bother telling Sharp where he was going but had brought a few of the HYDRA guards with him in case there was some sort of secret Avengers guard on Peter’s aunt. He doubted that they were smart enough to think that far ahead but he’d rather be safe than dead.

The door opened and there was Aunt May, just as Harry remembered her. Her slightly greying  brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail to keep it out of her kind face.

She smiled when she saw him, “Harry! It’s been so long dear!” She opened the door and welcomed him into her quaint little home and embraced him into a hug.

Harry smiled, “Thanks Aunt May.”

Aunt May showed him into the living room, “Well, Peter isn’t here at the moment, he’s been interning at Stark Industries and I guess he and Tony have been working on something big all day and night.”

“That’s one way to put it.” Harry smiled mischievously, “I actually wanted to talk to you Aunt May.”

“Oh, it’s not about my Peter is it? He’s not in any trouble is he?” Aunt May and Harry sat down on the tan sofa, facing one another.

Harry looked down, “Well actually that’s what I’m here to tell you, Aunt May. Peter Parker isn’t he you think he his.”

Aunt May looked taken aback, “What do you mean?”

“He’s Spiderman and it’s all his fault that his parents are dead, and that Gwen died on that clocktower, and that I was sent to prison.”

Aunt May sighed, concern threaded through her voice, “Harry, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Harry stood up, “IT’S HIS FAULT! ALL OF IT! AND NOW HE’S GOING TO DIE!”

Aunt May stood up, slowly reaching behind her for the lamp on the table beside the sofa, “Harry dear, we need to call someone. You need help.”

“No, YOU need help. You can see the truth!” Harry laughed maniacally, “I told Peter that I wouldn’t kill you, but since you don’t seem to walk to listen to me, I’m afraid I have no other choice. I can’t have you going to the Avengers and telling them how crazy I am.”

Harry could hear the guards that were waiting outside start surrounding the house, whispering orders and commands through the comms system that they were all wearing.

“Harry, honey, you don’t have to do anything. Let’s just talk about all this nonsense about Spiderman and the Avengers...” Aunt May trailed off, and grasped the lamp behind her, ready to defend herself, of at least attempt to.

Outside, there were shouts, screaming, and gunfire. Harry glanced outside the window to see what was going on, in his second of distraction. Aunt May swung the lamp from behind her and slammed it into the side of Harry’s head. He went out cold.

Aunt May dropped the lamp out of shock of what she just did, she didn’t notice the commotion outside had died down and someone had busted down her door. When she finally looked up at her door, Captain America was there, glancing from Harry’s unconscious body to Aunt May and the bloody lamp on the ground at her feet.

“May? I’m Steve Rodgers, I’m here to help you.” The Captain said, slowly walking towards May’s trembling form. She nodded, took his hand as he lead her away from Harry’s still form and outside towards the safety of SHIELD.

*********

After hours of trying, SHIELD had finally made contact with their Asgardian avenger, Thor, who had arrived right after SHIELD rescued Peter’s Aunt.

“So we must go save the man of spiders? In that tower?” Thor questioned once he was filled in.

Black Widow nodded, “Here’s where they are, at the top of the tower. Agent Cara as specialized some sort of jet packs that will be able to fly us over to the tower in a matter seconds, all we need is for you to create the distraction and break the glass so we can get in.”

Thor nodded, “Alright. Sounds fun.” He began swinging his hammer and took off into the darkening sky, breaking through the glass of their SHIELD conference room.

"He could’ve just used the door.” Hawkeye retorted, as he watched Thor summon storm clouds by his hammer.

“What about me?” Banner spoke up, from the corner of the room, “I don’t really want to bring out the big guy and destroy half of New York City again.”

Captain America, answered the question as he walked through the doors of the conference room, “You can stay here and keep us updated on the motions of HYDRA with Cara down in the surveillance room if you don’t want to change.”

Banner sighed, “Thanks Cap. WIll do. If things get way out of hand look out for the other guy.”

Captain nodded, “Alright does everyone know what the plan is?”

Black Widow, Hawkeye and Banner all nodded, Captain continued, “Alright, let’s move.”

Peter had been sitting sullenly in the corner of his cell door, staring at something on the control panel . Bad news, Tony didn’t really know how to help him out, good news, though he finally was able to talk HYDRA into letting him use the bathroom.

Tony mulled about what to do about their situation when in walked, the man himself, Daniel Sharp.

Tony stood up from his sitting position on the bed, whereas Peter just stayed where he was.

“I just wanted to thank you both for joining us this past day and a half or so. It’s been wonderful to meet you both but now I’m afraid it’s time to kill you.” Sharp began, strolling into the room.

Peter’s head snapped into focus as he stood up, “Why? Why now?”

“Because well we have not received any sort of ransom note from SHIELD, so apparently they don’t want either of you. And Peter, thanks to your blood sample, my soldiers are twice as strong, more agile, their hearing and sight is better, they can sense bad things coming or happening, and they can climb up the sides of buildings.” Sharp turned around and picked up the web shooter that had been left on the table, and held it up, “Now, I just have to make a bunch of these, and since I have this to copy from I don’t need you anymore Peter Parker.”

“Wait, hold on, I’m sure we can figure something out, without you trying to kill us.” Tony spoke up.

Sharp pursed his lips, pretending to think, “No, I don’t think we can. And to make this more interesting I’m going to kill you one at a time, so one of you can watch the other suffer, helpless to do anything.”

“You’re sick.” Spat Peter from the other side of the glass.

“Yes I supposed I am.” Sharp turned around and typed something into the control panel, “But it sure does feel good.”

A few seconds passed and Tony didn’t notice anything and for a brief moment hoped that whatever Sharp had panned didn’t work. Then he saw Peter go down.

“What are you doing to him? Why him first?” Tony shouted, realizing what was happening.

“Because Mr. Stark I didn’t make you suffer nearly enough during your stay here. But don’t worry you’ll turn will come soon enough.” Sharp responded curtly, smiling as he watched Peter choke on air.

Tony pounded on the glass that separated the two cells, “Peter, Peter it’ll be ok, alright?”

Peter gasped as he nodded, slightly calming down, but still trying to gasp for air, it was like watching someone drown on nothing. Something in Peter’s eyes, told Tony that he knew something the Tony didn’t.

Then he figured it out. The lights flickered, as thunder boomed outside of the tower. Tony smiled, “Well, no ransom note huh?”

Suddenly the wall across from Tony and Peter exploded, a silver object flew towards them, Tony ducked covering his head and glass shattered around him.
