Maddie and Belle are still on the bus but they have to get off.

Bus: Thank you for using Newark Buses. 

Man: Alright... End of the line. 

Maddie: End of the line? 

Man: Yeah, you gonna have to leave. 

Maddie: Wake up. We have to go...

Maddie asks if they could stay on the bus.

Maddie: Listen, we have nowhere to go... She's exhausted and it's pouring rain... Can we just stay for a little while? 

Man: This bus is going back to the depot. There's nothing I can do.

Maddie and Belle are on the street. 

Maddie: You're gonna be ok? We'll find somewhere to spend the night. Come on, Belle. We've got to hurry.

Belle sits on the bus stop.

Maddie: Belle, you're freezing cold. 

Belle: I'm okay. I'm not so cold. 

Android: You look lost. 

Maddie: We have nowhere to go... 

Android: I know someone who can help you. 

Maddie: But, that's on the other side of town... We need a place for tonight! Come on, Belle.

Maddie and Belle go into the supermarket. 

Maddie: Look, the store is still open. Maybe we should go inside. At least you'll be out of the cold.

Maddie looks at the TV.

Channel 16 - Michael Webb: The first CyberLife zoo in Newark opened its gates to the first visitors today following a grand inauguration. Hundreds of species, most of them now extinct, have been recreated in more than 100 acres of natural environments using CyberLife's android technology. Guests can now experience polar bears, leopards, elephants and even two blue whales, all designed to appear live and well. CyberLife has announced the opening of eleven new android zoos all over the country where visitors of all ages can admire the wonders of the natural world.

Maddie talks to the store clerk. Maddie is still in her android uniform.

Clerk: What do you want? 

Maddie: I'm with a little girl and we have nowhere to go... Could you spare some money so we can get a room for tonight? 

Clerk: Crap... a homeless android? Ah, that's the best yet... Look, this is a convenience store, not the Salvation Army, okay? You better go if you're not gonna buy anything.

Maddie uses Belle to create a diversion. So she can steal the money.

Maddie: Belle, I need your help. You see those cans over there? I want you to go over and knock them down. 

Belle: Knock them down? But, why?

Maddie: Please. Belle, just trust me. 

Clerk: You all right? Are you hurt? Well, don't worry, it's just a few cans... They made a lot of noise, that's all. Say, what's a little girl like you doing out so late? It's ok, I don't bite... Cat got your tongue? Well, if you need anything, you just let me know, ok? And watch where you're going, hm?

Maddie stole the money then leaves the store with Belle.

Maddie: Come on, let's go. 

Clerk: Fuck! 

Maddie: We've got some cash now... 

Belle: You used me to steal that money! How could you do that? I trusted you!

Maddie apologizes to Belle for stealing the money.

Maddie: You're right. I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry, Belle. I'll never do it again.

Maddie and Belle go into a laundromat. 

Maddie: It's warm in here. You'll feel better in no time.

Maddie sees warm clothes for her and Belle in a washing machine. Maddie opens the washing machine.

Belle: What are you doing? They're not our clothes! 

Maddie: We need them, Belle. You need something warm and I need to get rid of this uniform. 

Belle: But, that's stealing! We can't do that!

Maddie decides to steal the clothes.

Maddie: I'm sorry, Belle, but we have to do this.

After Maddie and belle have clean clothes and $40.00. They go to the motel. 

Maddie: Looks like we found a place to stay... 

Belle: We're going in? 

Maddie and Belle go into the motel. 

Maddie: I'd like a room...

Receptionist: That'll be $40. Upfront. Just need your name and address... Can I see your...driver's license?

Maddie says that she forgot her driver's license.

Maddie: We... We were in a rush... I think I forgot it at home...

Receptionist: No worries. We can deal with it tomorrow... Have a good night. 

Maddie: Good night, Let's go, Belle.

Belle: Do you think he believed you?

Maddie: I don't know, Belle...all I know is you'll be nice and warm tonight.

When Maddie and Belle get to their room.

Maddie: Here, give me your coat. Let's get these clothes off, they're soaking wet. I'll just put these in the bathroom to dry. 

Maddie talks with Belle in the motel room.

Belle: Why didn't he ever love me? Why was he always so upset with me? All I wanted was a life like other girls. Maybe I did something wrong? Maybe I wasn't good enough? That's why he was always so angry. I just wanted us to be a family. I just wanted him to love me. Why couldn't we just be happy? 

Maddie: I don't know... 

Belle: You'll never leave me, right? Promise you'll never go!

Maddie promises to never leave Belle.

Maddie: I promise.

Belle: Will we be together forever? 

Maddie: Forever. You should sleep now. I'm going to turn off the light, okay? Sleep tight, Belle.

Maddie gets in bed with Belle.
