Chapter 4: The New Spider-Man Vs. Sandman
(One week later)
Y/N's P.O.V
So, it's been a weeks since I officially became Spider-Man.
It's not been easy though as people don't really know how to react to me as Spider-Man.
Though I did kinda expect that.
Right now I'm out in the city as Spider-Man just watching over it.
Just then I get contacted by Finn.
He's been helping me out as my guy in the chair.
Finn: Y/N, we've got a problem.
Y/N: Yeah, I had a feeling this wasn't a social call. What's happening?
Finn: There's a bank robbery two blocks from you.
Y/N: Okay, I'm on it, Finn. Thanks.
Finn: No problem.
After that I swing around the corner and head to the bank.
Once I get there I land on a rooftop near the bank and hear the alarm going off.
The doors burst open and sand spills out of it.
The sand forms into Flint Marko a.k.a Sandman.
Y/N: Holy crap. It's Sandman. One of OG Spidey's villains
Since becoming Spider-Man I haven't gone up against any supervillains yet.
I have no idea how this is gonna go.
Y/N: Okay. I got this. I got this.
I jump off the rooftop and swing down to him.
Y/N: Flint Marko a.k.a Sandman. It's nice to finally meet you.
Sandman: Ah, if it isn't the new Spider-Man. I thought this would get your attention. Though I gotta say I thought you'd be bigger.
Y/N: Well, I'm fifteen. What's your excuse?
Sandman: Oh, hahaha. Very funny, kid. You're just as annoying as the original Spider-Man.
Y/N: Ah, thank you. That means alot.
Marko swings at me, but I duck down and punch him in the chest.
My arm goes through him though and gets stuck.
Y/N: Ah, crap. The old Web-Head made that mistake too. And I did this to him!
Sandman throws a right hook and hits me, it sends me flying back into a wall.
Y/N: Ow. That hurt.
Sandman: I'm made of sand, Web-Head. You can't beat me like that.
I look up and see a fire hydrate.
That's how I beat him.
Y/N: You're right. I can't.
He tries to crush me, but I jump into the air and land next to the fire hydrate.
Y/N: Hey, Sandman! I'm right here! Come get me, ugly.
Sandman: Who you callin' ugly?
Y/N: I thought that it was clear that I was talkin' to you.
Sandman turns and break open the fire hydrate and cause him to get hit by the water.
The water causes his body to start melting down.
Y/N: You're made out of sand, Marko. You should know that water is your weakness.
Before I can get to him he uses his sand form to go down into the sewers below the city.
Y/N: Damn it.
I look over and see the bags of money.
Sandman: Ah, my money!!
I chuckle.
After that I take the bags of money back to the bank.
The manager comes over to me.
Y/N: Here you go, sir. I think this belongs to the bank. Well, not really, but you get what I mean.
Manager: Thank you so much, new Spider-Man.
Y/N: Anytime. Just doing my job. And there's no need to call me new Spider-Man.
I leave the bank and web zip away.
(Two hours later)
So, I've just come out of the alleyway near my house after changing out of my suit.
If you can even call it a suit.
I walk up to the house and open the front door.
Y/N: Hey, dad. I'm home.
I look over to my brother, Marky walk out of the kitchen.
Y/N: Hey, Markus.
Markus: Hi.
Y/N: What are you doing here?
Markus: Well, dad wanted me to be here to make you dinner. He's staying late at the precinct.
Y/N: Oh, cool.
Markus: So, where you been? Dad mentioned you've been out alot late recently.
Y/N: Uh, yeah. I've been working on some things with Finn.
Markus: Okay. That was very unspecific.
Y/N: That's the point.
Markus: Alright, Mr. Secretive.
He sighs.
Markus: Well, dinner is almost ready.
Y/N: Cool. I'll go wash up.
I then head upstairs to the bathroom.
I've thought about tell Marky about my powers, but he's a cop.
I'm not sure how he or my dad react to me being the new Spider-Man, especially given what happened to the last one.
Third person perspective
Meanwhile at the Avengers Tower Tony Stark is in his lab.
He is watching a news report on Spider-Man's fight with Sandman.
Stark sighs.
Tony: Alright, Jarvis. I guess there's a new Spider-Man in New York.
Jarvis: Well, Mr. Allen did always say that there could be more people with his powers.
Tony: True. Though the kid's suit leaves alot to be desired.
Jarvis: Agreed. Would you like me to notify Captain Rogers of this?
Tony: No, Jarvis. Not yet. Let's keep an eye on this kid for a little long. And finding out who he is may help.
Jarvis: Of course, Mr. Stark.
Tony leans forward in his chair.
Tony: Okay, Spider-Man. Who are you really?
Stark then gets to work on finding out who's under the new mask.
