The boys arrived to Aaron's flat a little after 1 am. The way back was pretty silent except for Aaron asking his friend every few minutes if he was alright. Jordan had calmed down almost completely by the time they crossed the door. He wasn't crying anymore, small sniffles lingering here and there, but what he did have was a debilitating headache. Blame both the intense panicky crying and the alcohol. Aaron was still holding the boy by then, and didn't let go of him even when he carried him directly to the bathroom.

Jordan flinched when Aaron turned on the light, the intense shine magnifying the pain in his head.

"Sorry, it'll only be a few minutes, bud. You should try to take a quick shower; can you do that for me?" He softly told the younger. Jordan only nodded, keeping his eyes closed for a moment to get used to the bright light.

He was startled for a moment when Aaron effortlessly lifted him to sit on the counter.

"I'm gonna help you take these off, is that alright?" He asked Jordan, softly touching his ankle so that he would know he was referring to his shoes.

"Yeah, head is pounding, hurts too much, sorry." the younger replied almost whispering.

"Don't worry, I don't mind helping." He said back. "Is it okay if I help you out of your shirt and jeans? So you can get in the shower faster," he asked back.

"O-okay." He breathed out, nodding along to his words, too moved to really care about the intimacy of his friend's actions.

Aaron helped Jordan quickly remove his clothes, before leaving him to remove his underwear and enter the shower on his own. He told his friend he was going to be back in a minute with a towel and a pair of sweatpants for the boy, after changing himself in the bedroom.

Jordan got in the shower and almost moaned at the feel of the warm water hitting his sore muscles. He had been so tense his body felt like he had run a marathon. Only a few moments later he heard the bathroom door open, relief flowing over him knowing Aaron was there again.

"You okay there?" The blonde asked him while sitting down on the toilet lid after putting the towel in the rack of the shower. He meanwhile grabbed his toothbrush and paste so he could wash his mouth and get ready for bed too. He was now wearing just some sweatpants and a tank top.

"Yeah, better." He responded. The constant sound of the water splashing on the tiles of the shower had lulled his headache a little bit.

They were silent for a couple of minutes while Jordan rinsed his hair and body, until Aaron decided to speak up.

"I'm sorry for what happened out there," said the blonde one breaking the silence.

"I decided to dance with the guy, not your fault." Jordan replied simply.

"I'm not talking about that, Jordan. I was being an idiot to you, I really am sorry." Aaron said after taking a deep breath.

It was silent for a moment, until he heard the shower turn off, and Jordan was opening the shower curtain, towel around his waist. Their eyes met for a moment, before Jordan looked down to his feet.

"Okay." He softly said. He could feel Aaron's eyes where still on him. "Can I get dressed?" he asked after a few moments when his friend didn't move nor spoke at all.

"Oh yeah, yeah, I'm sorry." Aaron said shaking his head. Jordan couldn't help but smile a bit at his friend's awkwardness. And this time, he didn't fail to notice the blush tinting his cheeks.

Aaron took this time to get a glass of water from the kitchen and some aspirins for Jordan to take. He was still a little shaken from just now coming to the realization of how beautiful Jordan was for him. Not only physically, he adored the boy basically since they had met. But it was now hitting him that maybe that adoration was love all along. He wanted to drop absolutely everything and just take care of the boy. And if Oliver was right, he might be able to do just that. He had screwed stuff over tonight, but he was more than willing to make things right from now on, only if Jordan let him.

Jordan finished drying his hair and body as quickly as he could before throwing on the sweatpants Aaron had brought him and going to the bedroom. Once he got there he got immediately in bed, he was exhausted, and tomorrow he had to be at the airport by the afternoon.

Not a minute had passed and Aaron was entering the room.

"Here buddy, this should help. How are you feeling?" he asked, handing him a glass of water and an aspirin for his headache.

"Thanks. A little better," Jordan replied before taking the pill with what seemed to be a little sad smile.

Aaron nodded slowly, mirroring his friend's little smile.

"I really mean it, you know? I-," he sighed, "I am sorry I screwed everything up. I don't know why I was being such a jerk to you. I guess I was just-"

"Jealous?" Jordan finished the phrase for him. With everything that happened tonight, they might as well just get it over with.

Aaron met his eyes his mouth still agape. He took a second to bask in the younger boy's features, coming to the conclusion that there wasn't a single thing he didn't like about him.

"Y-yeah," he finally admitted. "I- I didn't realize it was jealousy at first, I just knew I didn't like it. I didn't like how the waiter looked at you at the dinner and gosh, I hated when he kissed you tonight. I let it turn into anger like an idiot instead and I shouldn't have done that, I'm sorry. I really was a jerk to you, I understand if you want nothing to do with me anymore, but just know that I would never forgive myself if I just let you go," he said almost desperately. His eyes had gotten glossy and his voice was wavering. He had never meant anything more in his life.

Jordan was carefully observing Aaron, and even if he knew his friend had been in the wrong, what mattered right now was that he was not only willing to apologize, but he had just also given him that little bit of hope he needed to not give up. He just accepted he was jealous. And even if he didn't say it was romantic, it was quite obvious by what he said about his and Oliver's kiss.

Aaron was growing impatient by the lack of response, his mind running miles per hour right to throw itself from a cliff, until he was pulled back to reality by Jordan sudden soft laughter.

"Go to sleep, you dumbass. We're okay." He told the blonde with a gentle smile before completely laying down and patting the mattress right next to him. A gentle invitation for truce.

Aaron then let go breathy laugh, following the boy's instructions and getting comfortable next to him.

Both boys were laying down facing each other, eyes locked and way closer than they had been before, but this was okay. This was comfortable. This was them.

"Goodnight, we can talk tomorrow. Don't stress too much." Jordan whispered.

"Okay. Goodnight," Aaron replied, slowly reaching for the boy's hand under the covers, intertwining their fingers before giving a gentle squeeze and soft smile. Jordan blushed a little and smiled back, before closing his eyes and falling asleep.
