Jordan woke up startled by his alarm. He was alone in bed now, which was a relief. The bedroom door was open and he could smell Aaron's famous chocolate hotcakes and coffee. He could hear music coming from the hall, and he smiled to himself when he caught Aaron gently humming to the tune. He stretched and was about to get up when Aaron peaked his head through the door.

"Morning, buddy. I brought breakfast." Aaron said carrying a tray with what seemed to be breakfast for both of them.

"Always a gentleman." He replied, sitting up against the headboard.

Aaron sat down next to him, putting the tray in the middle. He was wearing sweatpants now, but was still shirtless, making Jordan blush a little.

"It's my charm." He replied smugly. "How are you feeling?"

"Fine." Jordan said simply.

Aaron sighed. "I know you don't like talking about it, but I can't help if I don't know what triggered you."

"Just a nightmare, I'm fine." He rapidly lied. "And yes, I don't wanna talk about it."

Aaron was searching for any signs in Jordan's face, before just sighing again and muttering "I'm just worried."

"Don't. What's the plan for today?" he asked, wanting to change the subject.

"Whatever you want buddy, you're my guest." Aaron replied, squeezing the boy's knee for a second.

"I wanna go out tonight" he blurted. It was out of character for Jordan to suddenly be social. But honestly, he just wanted to distract himself a little after everything that happened in the last 24 hours.

"There's this new bar I've been to a couple times, it's nice. Chill music, nothing crazy. We could go there?" The blonde suggested.

"Sure, you're the big city boy. I'm just a farmer from Ohio" he saidjokingly, making his best friend finally laugh.
