Chapter Six~Who Are You?
Bruce's POV
I grabbed the files and sprinted to the meeting room like my life depended on it. And it just might. After I cracked the case, I called for an emergency meeting with the Avengers.
They were all waiting for me when I entered the room panting. "What's the matter Bruce?" Clint asked.
I stood their for a little while longer, catching my breath. "Ever heard of Greek Mythology?"

Percy's POV
I was sitting in the living room killing Leo(on the x-box) when Tony stormed in.
"Get your sorry little butts in the training room now! We have some important things to discuss!"
Leo and I exchanged knowing looks and started giggling. Tony cleared his throat and we tried our very best to keep a straight face, but just ended up laughing harder. Piper rolled her eyes for the fifth time today.
We all made our way to the training room where the Avengers were waiting. They looked at us like we were aliens from a different planet.
"When were you going to tell us?" Tony asked quietly. I forfeited the no talking to Tony challenge. I gave him my best oblivious look(I can be pretty convincing) and said, "Tell you what?"
"THAT YOU'RE HALF FREAKIN GREEK GOD!" Tony screamed.
"Well why would I tell you that?" I asked in a quiet voice. Piper rolled her eyes again. I think I need to take her to an eye doctor. Something's definitely wrong.
"Is it true?" Steve asked. "No" I deadpanned. "Yes" Leo said. Thanks buddy.
"So who's your godly parent?" Bruce asked.
"Again, why would I tell you that?"
"Because I'm Batman!" Tony said. Everyone was quiet as we turned our heads to look at him. He shrunk back a little bit.
I looked at Annabeth, defeated. There was no avoiding this now. She gave me a slight nod. "I think we should take a seat. This might take a while."

Jason's POV
The Avengers brought a couch into the training room to sit on(Why a couch, I don't know). Percy took a deep breath and started us off. "You all know about Greek Mythology, right? Well it's more than just a myth. If you thought otherwise, you were sadly mythtaken."
I chuckled at his wordplay. Good one bro.
"All the gods, all the monsters, are real. We are the children of the gods, the saviors of Olympus and we fight these monsters everyday."
Tony interrupted. "I thought you said your father died at sea before you were born?"
"I'm getting to that," he said, "anyway, the gods often come down to earth and have children with mortals, called demigods or half-bloods. We are half human half god. And we're dangerous."
"My father is Poseidon, god of the seas and the earthshaker."
He turned to Annabeth. "My mother is Athena, goddess of wisdom, battle strategy, and useful crafts."
My turn, "My father is..."
"Oh!" Percy interrupted, "I forgot to mention that there are also Romans and Egyptians, and Asgardians, but we just deal with Greeks and Romans."
I waited for him to be done, "My father is Jupiter, the Roman god of the skies."
Piper came forward, "My mother is Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty."
Leo came forward with a strange glint in his eyes. Uh oh. "My Dad is Hephaestus, god of blacksmiths and fire. Y'all got anything against fire?" He asked. The Avengers shook their heads.
"Okay, cool!" Leo shouted and lit his hands on fire. I think Tony screamed.
Hazel: "My Dad is Pluto, Roman god of death and riches."
Frank: "My father is Mars, Roman god of war. I'm also a descendant of Poseidon, and I can shape shift."
Introductions were over and the Avengers sat shocked. "You need to show us your skills." Steve said. They removed the couch and we got to work.

Steve's POV
Percy went first to demonstrate his powers. He walked over to the big swimming pool and jumped in. He sat on the bottom, looking up at us, for ten minutes.
I thought for sure he must be dead, but his friends didn't seem worried in the slightest. A whirlpool began to form and soon an all out mini hurricane came into existence, with Percy in the middle grinning at us. He had the water set him on the side of the pool and told us he wasn't done yet.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a simple ball point pen. He uncapped it and it transformed into a bronze sword. The blade was shaped like a leaf and I knew it was Greek style.
He then swung the sword expertly and plunged it into the floor. Tony could barely yell in protest. The place where he struck his sword sent out a shockwave of pure force.
The ground shook and trembled, cracks appearing on the floor. I lost my footing and went sprawling. Only the demigods were left standing.
I heard Leo mutter, "show off" with a smile.
Percy stood and took his sword out of the floor and the world stopped spinning. He returned the sword to his pocket, back in pen form, and looked to Jason.
We all just looked astonished. Damn he's powerful. I'm starting to like these kids. They've got the same look in their eyes. They've seen war, they've seen death. Especially the son of Poseidon.
Jason Grace led us to the balcony and told us to stay inside the tower. "What's he gonna do?" Sam asked. Piper shushed him and watched with a proud smile on her face.
Jason thrust his sword in the air and the hairs on my arms stood straight up. Ozone filled the air and a powerful CRACK sounded and lighting hit Jason's sword with such force, it shattered the windows. Holy shit. Sorry, language.
"I can also control the winds." He called to us, demonstrating by hovering in the air. We applauded and he came back inside.
Next was Frank. The big guy looked a little nervous, but looked at Wanda. "That squirrel you saw when you were chasing me? That wasn't a normal squirrel."
Then he began to change. He shrunk to a tiny size and fur spread across his body until he looked exactly like a squirrel. This all happened in about two seconds.
Wanda gasped. "H-how?" He then turned to a growling lion, and then a giant elephant. Back in human form he said, "I can turn into any animal. It's a gift from Poseidon that my family inherited."
Leo was practically bouncing off the walls as he waited to go. He ran in front of us and grinned evilly. He lit his hands on fire like before, but we were ready for it. Or so we thought.
The fire spread to cover his whole body, and soon he was completely engulfed in the flames. He was still smiling at us, but it looked really creepy. His eye sockets and open mouth glowed orange. He extinguished the fire and patted himself down.
"I'm also really good at building stuff." He said. "Yeah, right." Tony challenged. He broached out some really high tech contraption that had been stressing him out for awhile now. He handed it to Leo. "Fix it."
I watched as Leo took it in his hands and felt around. He fiddled with it and then reached into his tool belt. He pulled out an impossibly long screwdriver that couldn't possibly fit in their and went to work.
We started pulling it apart. He reached into his tool belt and brought a tiny wiry. "The tension's all wrong. And the wiring's messed up."
He replace some things and messed with it some more before handing it back to Tony. I checked my watch. It had been three minutes. Tony looked baffled. He turned it around in his hands over and over again with his mouth hanging open.
"I've been trying to fix this thing for three months and you fixed it in three minutes." Leo just smirked.
Next up was Hazel. She looked very shy and couldn't be more than thirteen. I wondered again why we kidnapped them. Oh yeah, Tony doesn't like to be told what to do. But I guess it worked out all right. They definitely aren't normal.
Hazel turned to me and held out her hand. I looked at her confused when I felt a sudden pressure on my back. My shield started to wiggle in its harness.
It then ripped off my back and into her hand. She held it in front of her as she studied it. "World's strongest metal. Cool." She threw it back at me and I barely caught it. It felt a lot heavier than usual. I noticed she was looking at me. Than she smiled and the shield felt normal again.
I put it back on my back. "I can control all precious metals found under the earth. I'm also really good underground. I can find tunnels and even change them to my needs. I can also control the Mist. It's the veil between your world and ours. I can manipulate it."
She stood staring at me. I was a little unnerved. "Um, why is she staring at me?" Tony asked. "No, she's staring at me" Natasha and Clint said at the same time. This is creepy.
"I'm not staring at anyone." She said. I looked and she wasn't there anymore. Instead she sat atop Franks shoulders, laughing at our baffled expressions. "Remember during the chase Tony? That illusion? That was me."
Piper was up next. She smiled at us and I couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was. She truly stunning. The way her hair shines in the sunlight, how her smile makes me want to jump off the tower...
I realized all the male Avengers were looking at her the same way. What is this? "I can Charmspeak. And I can use my Aphrodite's child charm to my advantage. I can be very persuasive."
"So that's why I listened to you when you told me to take a nap." Tony said. I was just starting to realize how dangerous a power like that could be. I was about ready to throw myself off the building a couple seconds ago.
We all looked at Annabeth expectantly. "You can all wipe that dumb look off your faces. I don't do anything special. I don't have powers. I'm just really smart. I'm good with a dagger though." I nodded, understanding. It wasn't always about the muscles.
Percy looked up from his intense staring contest with Frank and said, "I'm hungry!"
We headed to the Avengers floor and on the way, we asked them if they wanted to team up with us for the time being. I trusted them, mostly, and I feel like most of the others felt the same way. Plus, I felt a new threat rising. Something we couldn't fight on our own.
Percy groaned and complained loudly, but the teens eventually agreed. We sat at the table and ordered Chinese. That is when I learned what a flashback was.

Annabeth's POV
We all sat around the table, joking and having fun when things started to go wrong. Percy was holding his knife and fork over his plate and he was conversing with Tony.
They were talking about Tony's high tech weapons and defenses when Tony said something stupid. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you." He joked. I felt a chill go down my spine. I froze, and feeling the sudden tension in the air, the others froze as well.
I looked over at Percy and I wanted to cry. His hands were shaking and the cutlery clattered onto the plate, echoing in the now silent room. His eyes widened in fear and his face visibly paled.
I jumped up and put my hands on his shoulders, turning him to face me. His eyes had long since gone out of focus. Not another flash back, not now, please.
Steve stood, "What's wrong? What's going on."
I glared at Tony. "You just had to say something. That's a trigger!"
Clint snapped his fingers in Percy's face. "Hey dude, where'd you go?" I glared at him. "Not helping." I said through gritted teeth.
Jason got up and kneeled beside me, trying to get Percy back to reality. "Does this happen often?" Sam asked.
"Unfortunately, Yes." Leo answered, for once his tone serious. "We call it a flashback."
"Here, let me try." Wanda said, reaching forward with her hands outstretched. "No!" I screamed. "Don't!"
But the damage was already done. Wanda used her powers to try to get into Percy's head. Her eyes widened to an unnatural size and she slumped back in her chair.
She sat staring at the wall, lip quivering, until she arched her back and screamed. Percy slumped forward and fell off his chair, right into my waiting arms. His eyes were rolled back in his head and I knew he was unconscious.
"Percy" I whispered, knowing that he would suffer more if he went to sleep right now. I shook him gently, but got no response. Wanda was still struggling across the table.
Steve tried to help Wanda while Bruce came over to Percy to check his vitals and make sure he was okay.
Bruce leaned down and put his head against Percy's chest. He jerked up and looked at Percy worriedly. Finding no pulse, he quickly grabbed Percy and ran off to the infirmary with me and Jason close behind.
We waited and waited and waited until Bruce told us to go back to the others. We grudgingly went and sat with our friends. Wanda was doing better now, rubbing her head and muttering under her breath.
After what seemed like forever, Bruce walked in. "I'm so very sorry," he started. Oh no oh no oh no. Panicked racked through me. No no no no no no. This can't be happening. Hazel asked the question we all wanted to ask.
"Is he alive?" She asked meekly.
"Yes," I sighed in relief, letting a tear slip down my cheek, "but I'm afraid he's comatose."
