We headed into town after a quick shower. We're going out for lunch at the Three Broomsticks and doing a bit of shopping.

James pushed through the door to the pub, our breath steaming in the warm room. We trudged snow into the corner where we found an empty table.

We ordered drinks and sat around chatting. "Wheres Scorpius on this fine February morning?" James asked. Oh James if only you knew, I thought.

"He said he wasn't feeling well" Al shrugged. I caught Jenny's eye, sharing a dark look.

"Rose! Will you come to the pharmacy with me after lunch?" She suddenly blurted, everyone turning to look at her.

"I can come with you love" James assured his girlfriend.

"No Jay, I need Roses opinion on something"

"Oh ok" He tried to hide the disappointment, failing miserably.

Soon we ordered lunch and we all chatted happily. I loved this little group so much. I hoped everything would work out and I wasn't pregnant. The plates were finished up and Jenny and I excused ourselves. We walked the short distance to the pharmacy, arms linked.

"It'll all work out, I promise you that" She whispered to me. I nodded dully, I wasn't so sure. One of my cousins was bound to kill Scorpius. Or Hugo or Dad. As soft as Dad is, he had a hell of a temper when he was pissed off. James, Al and Hugo did too. Scorpius better watch his head, if he wasn't careful he would loose it.

We made quick business of buying tests. We didn't want to get spotted, I was quite a recognisable after all. I shoved the test in my pocket and we left the store.

"When should I take it?" I asked Jenny.

"As soon as you can, it's best to know" Jenny smiled supportively as we got back to the Three Broomsticks. I quickly looked down at my pocket to make sure the box wasn't noticeable.

"What did you get?" James asked as we sat back down.

"Nothing love, don't worry about it" Jenny smiled, giving James a kiss to shut him up. It worked.

At about three o'clock we left and began walking back up to school, it was starting to get cold and dark now, still being winter. I wanted to go and take the test but I was dragged down the Slytherin common room to 'check on Scorpius' I was almost positive he wasn't ill and just didn't want to see me. And besides he's 17 he can look after himself. God I sound like a right bitch.

Scorpius was sat in front of the common room fire reading a book. He looked up as we sat down around him. His eyes practically passed over me, I wanted to cry.

"How are you feeling mate?" Al asked.

"Alright" Scorpius nodded. I had to admit he didn't look to great, he was definitely looked washed out, although he was a Malfoy so not really saying much. "Good day?"

"Yeah not to bad, just chilled at the pub for a bit" Jenny told him.

Sophie and Grace left after a while leaving Al, James, Jenny, Scorpius and I in the common room. Half an hour later I was fast asleep, my hands buried in my pockets holding that pregnancy test.

When I woke up again, it was just me and Scorpius in the common room. Everyone else had cleared of, probably for dinner. I'm not sure why he was still here. I cleared my throat so he'd know I was still awake.

Scorpius look up from his book, his whole body tensed up. "Rose, we really need to talk" Scorpius started but I cut him off.

"Can we just leave it in the past Scorpius? We both need to get ok with our lives now?" I wined.

"No! Come on Rose! This meant something to both us! Or we wouldn't be so awkward!" Scorpius raised him voice slightly.

"I had a boyfriend Scorpius! I cheated on him!"

"I know and I'm sorry! But you need to get over that or any sort of relationship between us, romantic or not, just isn't gonna happen!" Scorpius pulled at his hair.

"I know" I sighed, "I want to be friends Scorpius, I really do. I love you. Your one of my best friends" I moved to sit next to him.

"I love you too" He smiled sadly.

I kissed him gently on the cheek, mentally slapping myself immediately. Scorpius turned so he was facing me, his lips brushing mine slightly. Scorpius went in again, trying to kiss me. I pulled away.

"Scorp, come on. We can't do this" I whispered, getting up to leave.

Scorpius didn't try to stop me and I think that broke me even more.
