New Writer's Hotline: New Author/Poet/ Artist Interview

1. What brought you to Wattpad?

"I had been writing scripts for comics, and I started seeing random books and stories with terrible plots and riddled with holes. So, I set out to meet other authors and make my own material. Ive really enjoyed the community and being able to share my very different-styled works!"

2. How long have you been a writer/Artist/Poet?

"I've been a writer since the week before Halloween of this year, so 2 months now since it's nearly Christmas! (Happy holidays; fun fact it's my like my 3rd Christmas ever)"

3. How many books/drawings/poems do you have?

"12 comics waiting to be illustrated, 6 projects up to read, with 3 of them getting updated every 3 to 6 days"

4. What gets you inspired?

"I'm not gonna lie...getting mad at bad stories and having downtime due to a car accident to just let my mind wander. I draw inspiration heavily from my life as well, but I like to keep the readers guessing what's real and what's imagination. I've tried to get more into writing since I've had less time to work, lol"

5. When it comes to plotting, what are your biggest worries?

 "Uh, to be honest, not really anything I mainly stress when I make female characters to make sure they actually genuinely sound like real people and reflect that they are 50% of the population lol"

6. Do you plan/hope to make this a career?

"Absolutely any collabs or publishers, contests, or awards, I'm looking to turn these into every medium and keep sharing my stories with the world. I really want to help other creators, especially black creators, achieve their goals and happiness I'm finding with actually writing"

7. What other hobbies do you have?

" I cook stuff. I used to work at a butcher shop, so that was fun. I used to play a lot of sports, but now I kinda chill and drink; writing has been my main focus lately. I've written 30k words in less than a month!"

8. Are you planning to self-publish, traditionally publish, or hope to make it big on Wattpad (If you have already published somewhere else, feel free to link if you can)?

 "All of em anything that connects me to my audience where I can make sure we all can enjoy great works consistently from me or even anyone! I love collaborations, as I may have mentioned, and would love to co-write some things!"

10. What tropes and/or genres do you like the best and why?

"I'm honestly not a fan of tropes at all even when I do them it grates me! But I do enjoy any antithesis or subversion of expectations! Any parody always gets me also I'm a big dark humor guy."

You are a talented artist and writer. I can't wait to see your market debut because you are passionate and engaging with your readers. I have read almost all of your stories and can say you offer unique plots and great characters. Your illustrations are also top-tier, so your talent doesn't just end in writing.
