chapter 34 (lay down)

I still couldn't believe my own eyes.

We were standing right in front of the body of Abraham. Something I thought I would never ever see!

Yet here I am looking at the cover with a cocoon body of him.

Something really felt bad here and now I know why. He didn't even look alive. How did my grandmother even do this? She can't do this can't of magic. I thought she would have hide him somewhere far away from Mafalda, but she hide him right here.

Did she fought him here in this cave?

She never told me how she defeated him. It was such a long time ago. They told me that she was the same age as me.

I guess we both had our huge battle, but now I have two.

I need to fight Mafalda and Abraham. Both very dangerous and bod deadly. If they ever win they can destroy everything. All the light will be gone and only the darkness will remains.

This place didn't feel good. It was like we being watched. I can see now why that creature wanted to attack us. If it was a guard of this place then it's doing a really good job.

I rather not stay here to find other things that it's guarding him.

Knowing my grandmother, there are more things that will keep nimfen or other things out.

"Libby we need to go now." I said my voice shaking at the end.

I didn't want to seem weak in her eyes, but I know that this isn't a good place. If anybody knows he's here than bad things can happen.

There is no way of telling if Mafalda have followed us or Abraham himself. "

Yeah this isn't right. We weren't meant to find him."

I nodded my head and turn around. We quickly walked away from him. I didn't want to see this place ever again. I don't even know how I found it.

I didn't think of him.

I only wanted to find a way. A way to get away from Mafalda and Abraham. We both were silent when we walked further down the cave. Both of us didn't want to say a thing, scared that other things would be here and jump at us.

The whispers had completely stopped.

The creature was gone and I wasn't happy about it. The cave was eerily silent. Which was crazy because when we inter it there was all kinds of sounds beside the whispers.

This whole thing just drove me crazy.

My head began to spine and I needed to stop.

"Hazel are you okay?" I felt her hand on my back while I try to hold myself up against the wall.

"I'm fine, just a little dizzy."

I close my eyes tightly trying to get the dizziness away. A headache came with the dizziness making me close my eyes more tightly. It felt like thousands of needles were pressing through my skull.

I try to shake it off, but it didn't work.

I know we needed to get out of here and fast.

"Come on we need to get away from here."

She shook her head when I wanted to take a step.

"Hazel you need to take it easy."

I took a deep breath trying to get myself under control. I need to be okay. I need to get us out of here fast.

"I'm okay. We just need to leave this place."

Libby didn't look convince, but let me walk further with her next to me. I could see the exit when we turned a corner. Okay we're almost out of here.

I was already doing a happy dance in my head knowing we would be out of here.

But of course I was wrong.

The creature from before came from out of nowhere hitting both me and Libby. We flew backwards hitting a wall. It was so hard that rocks began to fall on top of us.

I got hit on my leg, but quickly push the pain away when I saw that the creature was ready to attack us again.

I look at Libby and saw that she was holding her arm. There was a lot of blood rushing out of the large wound making my stomach turn.

I turn my focus back on the creature just in time before it jump on top of me. He rose his claw in a swift move before bring it down.

A scream escape my lips when he clawed at my stomach. My hands began to feel warm and before I knew it I made a light ball and had shot him off of me.

He hit the ground hard not standing up for a few seconds. I look down and hiss at the pain off the claw mark on my stomach.

"Hazel get up!"

Libby stood in front of me holding her good arm out for me to take it. With a groan I stood up holding my bloody stomach.

"Come one we're almost at the exit."

She laid my arm around her shoulder helping me not to fall to the ground again. The creature started to move again. I don't know if he can't leave the cave or not, but I just need to get away from here.

It's like I can't breathe here.

We quickly limped towards the cave's exit.

My heart was beating in my chest like it wanted to jump out of it. My lungs were burning in my chest. Every breath I took was torture.

I fell to the ground pulling Libby with me when we were out the cave.

I heard a scream and I rolled onto my back to look at the cave. The mummified creature was running at out direction. If I wouldn't do something quick it would attack us again.

Despairingly I look around trying to find something to help nus. My eyes landed on rocks about the entrance of the cave.

"Hazel!"

She cover her face when she saw the creature jump right at us.

I stood up and put my hand shooting a light ball at the rocks. I thought I was too late, but the rocks came falling down right on top of the creature.

For a long time the dust covered my sight, but when it when away I breathe in relief. The creature was laying lifeless on the ground with rocks on top of him.

"Hazel you did it." I hear Libby say, but her voice sound distant.

I began to see black spot while my head began to spin more. The dizziness from before was stronger.

I thought I would be okay once I was out the cave, but I'm not.

Maybe it's because I'm losing a lot of blood.

Probably that.

"I-I don't feel good. I need to lay down."

It was the lasting I said before passing out.
