Rodel and Jose looked around.

"So, what about the kid?" Asked Jose.

By kid, Jose meant Alfon, the person Rodel is taking care of.

"He's on a trip towards Marsus. Along with some others. Seemingly due to the kingdom's current situation, they were ordered to check them there."

Not looking at Rodel, Jose then said,

"From what I know, that kingdom is nearly popping of their alarms and would soon drop on their "state of war"."

"State of war or not, this world is too messy. Is this how kingship and monarchy happened back in our world?"

"From what I heard, I don't even know if our kingship and monarchy could even be given to how the rule things out here. Also, are you sure we're on an another world? That's not yet confirmed right?"

Rodel glanced at Jose then replied.

"Having two moons is enough for a confirmation. Also, the color the moons are reflecting is enough."

"Atmospheric disturbance and reflected light being reflected back due to the atmosphere causing a mirror effect? Our current science can diffuse this visual evidence."

"Heh, nonetheless we'll know when the starships are ready."

"Good point."

"Okay, now shut it. The announcement of truth is about to start."

"Excuse me but, what was that sound?"

Brando looked at Viyani and said,

"Excuse me for a sec."

Brando then moved to the sides of the pergola, his back facing Viyani.

Standing on the sidelines, Brando then took out a wrist watch from his pockets.

The wrist watch on the other hand was beeping.

Followed by that was a shocked expression from Brando.

What?! How could this be? A signal? Where is this coming from? More so, it's very powerful.

Should I contact HQ... But if I do then the elves already superstitious suspicions would increase...

Viyani glanced at Brando's back, right after that she then began to tap the tea table.

A small, but noticeable light green light then showed on her fore finger.

Then, a small wind ball formed on it.

She then flicked the wind ball towards Brando. The small wind ball then moved towards Brando.

When the small wind ball then finally got pass Brando's back a simmer of light then appeared on Viyani's left eye.

There, Viyani saw Brando fiddling with a... Watch?

Wait... There's something in the watch...

Viyani then controlled the small wind ball to go closer.

There, she saw words piled up on one another and shapes and things she haven't seen before

"What is that...."

Brando immediately looked behind him and saw Viyani pushing herself on the table.

Seeing Brando suddenly looking at her, Viyani immediately reclined at her chair. However, it was done clumsily as she was taken by surprise.

"What are you doing?"

"I was just stretching my back. I'm sorry if you saw a disgraceful image of me."

"Does stretching your back feel relaxing?"

"Yes, it relieves one from all the stress they have conjured during the day."

"Is the tea great?"

"Of course, the tea did came from my country anyway."

"I see. Oh, might I ask if was it your country that gave you this land?"

"Oh no, it was my effort that gave me this land."

"Is this cute wind ball yours?"

"I wouldn't exactly say it's cute but, Ah-"

"Ms. Viyani. Peeking is bad, it destroys all manners of proper etiquette."

"I understand that perfectly."

After that little event, Brando have then offered to go back to the mansion now.

"So, how much did you see?"

"Guh-"

Viyani actually saw quite a lot.

The empire that is near territory is starting to get rash ain't it....

Although it was stated that the defense was a success with our help, it seems that the action would only increase tensions. At the moment, the empire and other neighboring kingdoms are ignorant of our appearance. However. that defense would undoubtedly start to raise suspicion that the Marsus kingdom is receiving outside help... with that... they would surely muster up more forces...

"Hey."

"What are you thinking? You kept looking at the ground while walking."

"Just some stuff, besides, it's not important for you i suppose?"

"Us Elves cherish peaceful relationships just as we cherish our own families. So, by telling your matters, a further understanding to each other would be formed that would then result to trust being built. Is that not a more suitable situation?"

Brando raised his head.

"I suppose so."

Viyani then smiled.

"Then can you tell me what was on the watch?"

Brando suddenly stopped walking. He then looked at Viyani with a serious expression.

"How'd you know it's a watch?"

As Brando said this in all seriousness, Viyani looked at him in confusion.

"I've seen ones when the Triam empire's people comes here. They said it was used to check time. Yours though, seems different."

"It looks like a watch but seems like it can do more than just check time. So, i got curious, what is it? What is on the watch?"

Hearing the words 'Triam empire', Brando's seriousness turned into calmness.

He saw the records and reports. 

It seems that some empires lean more into magic, some into technology, and some probably both.

Seems like seeing the technological prowess of the nearby kingdoms have made me too complacent eh... I forgot that there could be other kingdoms or other foreign powers that could have certain degrees of powers. Aiya aiya, i need to resharpen myself.

Seeing Viyani's relentless pursuit on the matter. Brando simply sighed.

"Haa... Its what we call a Smart Watch. On a smart watch, there are certain things you can do besides just checking the time."

"Hoo... So it can do more than just check time eh..."

As Viyani and Brando were conversing, a small red light slowly made its way to them.
