King Braum Voltar. The King of Marsus kingdom, is currently handling the recent affairs the kingdom is facing.

These affairs have already brought no good for him these past few days.

And that is because, the pressure from the Lina and Biscot kingdom have started to become heavy.

They didn't mind their actions no more. Began to use military force. And even started to coax their very own people.

A few more and the line that is called peace would probably be broken.

"What's the current status on the west border?"

As the King asked this, all the ministers then looked at each other anxiously.

"Your majesty..... the situation on the west border..... does not look good."

"Any moment now, the Lina and Biscot kingdom's men could charge through it....."

After this was said, silence then blanketed the whole council room.

After some moments, Braum then asked,

"Do you know the exact numbers of men they brought?"

Upon hearing this, the expression of all the ministers then showed a downcast expression.

"All the scouts we sent....... they never returned....."

Braum then lowered his head. He knew that the Empire was responsible for this.

Since he wouldn't concede to the Empire's power, the empire then have already recorded them as a thorn to be removed.

An figure that was not needed, only to be executed.

This was him in the eyes of the Empire.

"Should I ask for help from them?"

Braum contemplated on this thought.

The power that the Philippines showed them was no ordinary power.

Although he's not sure about the other Empires, he is sure of one thing.

And that is that the Pilanda Empire could not replicate the actions the Philippines has done.

Building a port in just two short days, heavily powerfull Military power that could conquer the land, air, sea, and under the sea, and the ability to create unimaginable things.

This alone made him sure that the Pilanda Empire would surely lose consecutively if both countries were to fight.

However, he can't just go to the Philippines and ask for help. And that is because he still knows little about the country.

While Braum was submerged in his own thoughts, all the ministers looked at him in worry.

Throughout the silence, king Braum's expression kept changing to being downcast, surprised, relief, and then worry.

Due to this, even the other ministers started to show expressions like anger, fear, and so on and so forth.

And then,

The door to the council room then opened with a bang.

There, a man wearing armor ran to the center of the council room and then kneeled right in front of the king.

Amidst the confusion of Braum and all the ministers, the man in armor then said,

"Your majesty! There are cloaked people at the castle gates that wanted to meet you."

In his confusion, Braum then asked,

"Cloaked people? Meet me? Have you confirmed the identity of these people?"

The gazes of the ministers then looked at that person, clearly showing discontent. This was an important meeting involving the survival of the kingdom, and yet here you are saying that some people wearing cloaks wants to meet the King?

Not paying attention to gazes of the ministers, that person then said,

"They showed the royal insignia of the kingdom to us. At first we were flabbergasted as to how those people have it. We then questioned them on how to got it, those people however, said that you gave it to them. We then repeatedly checked the insignia to see if it's fake, but, it wasn't which then made us unsure of what to do."

"The Captain of the royal knights then came, and when he saw those cloaked people, he then said to us to open the gates and call you your majesty."

After this person said this, King Braum then stood up from his seat, surprise and shocked displayed on his face.

"Bring them here now!"

*West Border of Marsus kingdom*

*2km away from the town of Bohr, West Border Fortress*

*Lina and Biscot encampment*

"Hahaha, those ministers from the Marsus kingdom must be scared on their own pants now."

"Serves them right. We gave them a chance to reconcile with us, and yet they still flatly refused us."

"And now, they're facing the wrath of the empire."

"Ahahahaha."

Within a distance from this group of soldiers, there was a woman looking at them while frowning.

"There you are Lia, what are you doing here?"

The woman looked back to check at the person that called her, there, a man stood, facing her.

"Gart. What are you doing here?"

The woman was Lia Rosen of the Rosen household. The Rosen household is one of the Duke households of the Lina Kingdom.

"Why of course I came to look for you. The night is already high, you should be taking a rest. We still have a long day tommorow you should know that."

And this is Gart Leywin of the Leywin family. A family composed of knights and had served the Lina Kingdom for generations.

"Long day tommorow? If by that, you're referring to the attack that has been decided to do on the West Border Fortress of the Marsus Kingdom then I would just loved that tommorow to not come then."

Yes. Tommorow, the Generals and the Captains of both Lina and Biscot kingdom have decided to raid the West border Fortress of the Marsus Kingdom.

The Empire's own people are involved on this attack which made the soldiers of both kingdoms stay in high morale.

"Lia... you know I have to be there. Besides, what do I have to worry, your a Light magician. With your powerful light magic, there's nothing I have to fear."

Light magic. A magic that is not part of the four basic elements. Presumably, light magicians are treated like saints and are proclaimed by the church as 'the way'. This factor also includes to how rare light Magicians are.

Light magic includes many factors that does not exist on the four basic elements. Such factors are healing, blessing, and so on and so forth.

But it's not because of this, that the reason why the church proclaims them as 'the way'. But, because light magicians have the ability to use divination.

Yes. Divination.

Divination in of itself means looking at a part of a person's future or perhaps not just one but that of the many.

However,

The ability is also rare to appear on light magicians themselves since it would depend on the Magician's learning capabilities as well of the comprehension abilities.

"It's not like that Gart, it's not because of the Marsus kingdom for why I don't want you to go."

Confused, Gart then asked,

"What is it then?"

With her eyes showing tinges of worry and fear, Lia said,

"Gart, I don't just excel at light magic, I also excel at divination. I spent my whole life trying to clearly comprehend divination itself. And finally, a few days ago, I have been successful."

With a look of surprise, Gart then showed a beaming smile and then said,

However,

"Well that's great! Lia you actually learned to use divina--"

Gart stopped midway when he saw the fear Lia's eyes were showing.

Seeing as Gart didn't say anything, Lia then said,

"To my excitement, I immediately used the skill on you to see you're future. However...."

"You're future showed you, ripped apart to pieces."

"To my shock, I repeatedly used divination on you, thinking that it might have been wrong...."

"But it wasn't. It was still the same, no matter how many times I used it on you."

"I then used it on the others looking for a way out for you to use when I say this to you."

"However, there fate was all the same. The same as yours...."

"This is why I don't want you to continue tommorow."

Gart then just stood there in silence, later on, he then asked,

"When..... Did that happen?"

Lowering her head, Lia then said,

"Tommorow, on our way to the Fortress."

"What.... Killed me.... Then?"

Lia stayed silent when Gart asked her this.

Seeing as she stayed silent, Gart then grabbed her shoulders and said in a forced tone,

"Lia. Tell me!!

Lia then raised her head, when she saw Gart's expression from what she all had said, she then told him,

"It was a monster..... A monster wearing  human skin."
