"The United Auctioneers Inc Grand Auction, begins!"

Then, loud shouting was heard, no it could be considered as loud cheering.

The screen in front of Rodel and Co then zoomed out. It panned in a 360 degree, view showing all the people that attended the auction.

The King, Lucilia, Mercalos, and the Ministers were shell-shocked by this gigantic crowd.

They have never seen such a huge gathering before.

Rodel and Jose on the other hand were just having calm ecpressions, clearly they've attended quite a number of such gatherings.

After making a 360 degree pan around the whole place, the camera then turned black.

The King and co were confused by this. Was that it?

However, the next thing that happened before their eyes made their jaws drop.

The screen before them glittered and spreaded throughout the whole room.

Now, instead of having limited vision on the area, they now can see the whole place.

The stage where the items being auctioned at is, the whole crowd, and the higher floor rooms.

They could see it all.

The King looked at Rodel, Rodel on the other hand, just simply smiled.

Rodel then said, "Alright, put your long faces off. The auction is about to start."

Hearing this, Mercalos and the Ministers began to put on their 'serious' faces. Mercalos as a Merchant, knows that auctions at this scale would have very rare items in hold. So, he payed attention to it very seriously.

The same can be said for the Ministers.

Lucilia on the other hand, having much less experience in occasions such as these, just inserted her own calm, curious gaze.

Soon, the first item appeared.

"As for our first item. We have the G5-MK Guard Drone. This drone is produced by the Mech Company known as Sky City. The Company famous for it's aerial Mech's. Now, as we have many items for today I'll keep the information in summary. The drone is portable, it can be stored in any area of your body as well. It's armor is composed of carbon and aluminum fibers, making it really tough. Even a 12.88mm bullet won't easily penetrate it. If it's an electrical bullet ranging from 100 to 1200 watts, then the drone would just deliver the electricity throughout it's whole body. Through that ,it won't just block the attack but also use it as it's own energy. As for it's offense mode it uses an 900 watt double submachine gun. That's all for it's summary, now I shall give it's starting bid."

The crowd became exasperated at this introduction.

Comments like "G5-MK Guard Drone? Isn't that the newest drone created by Sky City?" We're heard all around.

With some questional expressions, Mercalos and the ministers didn't understand a shred of what the auctioneer just said. They gave Rodel a look, obviously wanting to know what that information meant.

Rodel looked at Jose, Jose just sighed at this irresponsible friend of his.

Then, Jose explained what the auctioneer meant, in much simpler terms that is.

"This G5-MK Guard drone is a device that one can bring all the time. As the name says, it guards it's user everyday from danger. The said armor by the auctioneer is tough that normal arrows and swords won't easily just pierce through it. The said offense mode on the other hand meant that as a guard it can fight back. It's weapons are powerfull enough to pierce through any ordinary man like it was paper."

When Mercalos and the Ministers heard this, they nodded calmly, but in the inside, they weren't calm at all. A guard that would always be with you anytime, anywhere. The best part on this was that it couldn't even be destroyed simply and that it is powerful enough to fight a group of men alone, if used properly. Heck it might even be able to take down a third grade martial artist if used strategically.

While they were immersed in their own thoughts the bidding began.

With a loud and clear voice, the auctioneer said the starting bid.

"Our starting bid would be 12,000 Pesos."

The crowd on the lowest area went into a huge stir. 12,000 pesos, that is no small amount. However, everyone knew the reason why it started at this amount. It was very simple if one thought about it. There was some information that weren't said about the drone when they introduced it.

After the crowd calmed down, a bid was heard.

"678, 12,500 Pesos!"

An increment of 500. It was surely someone testing the waters. However, with this amount of bidders in the Grand Auction, simply testing the surface of the waters won't be enough.

And of course, not long after that bud was said, another one was shouted.

"875, 13,500 Pesos!"

This second bid increased the price by a thousand. Now this bid made a commotion, a thousand added to the bid, now this guy just wanted to take the drone home no?

Not wanting to lose out, more bids appeared like raindrops dropping from the sky.

"453, 13,700 Pesos!"

"125, 14,000 Pesos!"

"529, 14,200 Pesos!"

Bids were shouted one by one, occasionally numbers were shouted from one area to another.

This caused Mercalos and the rest to be heavily confused.

What did these numbers meant anyway?

Then one of the ministers asked Rodel.

"Sir. Rodel, what does this numbers mean? And what is this Pesos?"

Rodel hearing this, just smiled and replied gentely.

"The first three numbers that your hearing are the numbers of the bidders, while the next numbers would be the amount of money they are willing to bid. Now as for Pesos, that is our country's currency."

The minister that asked was wide eyed, Pesos is currency? The first three numbers that are said are for the bidders? The next numbers are the amount of money these people are willing to bid for? This Minister's next question was already answered in his mind but he wanted some confirmation.

However, Mercalos beats the minister to it.

"Then, is the 14,000 Pesos that other person just shouted means 14,000 gold coins?"

Hearing this, Rodel thought for a while then nodded.

If the currency of Marsus Kingdom is gold, then wouldn't that make our Pesos equivalent to it? Lets presume that 10 Pesos is a silver coin and 10 coins of the 10 Pesos we're all put together making 100 Pesos, and this 100 pesos is one gold coin, wouldn't be it just like that? So, Rodel nodded at Mercalos question without a shred of any second thoughts.

However, Rodel forgot the fact that they were just recently transported here and the country still has some problems regarding currency exchange. This is why the country chose to trade industrial technologies instead of currency.

This nod of Rodel became a misleading thought to the Ministers and Mercalos. Even the King began to have the same misleading thoughts.

They already seen the tip of the country's power, and this currency of theirs were just a part of it....

While they were discussing this things, the bid for the first item began to slow down.

The bid was already getting high anyway and less and less people gave thoughts to bidding for the drone. Soon, the last bid came in.

It was given to the bidder with the numbers 987, and this person's bid not just shocked the crowd but it also shocked the Ministers, Mercalos, Lucilia who overheard the conversation between Mercalos and Rodel, and the King.

27,450!

Based on the misleading thoughts given by Rodel, it would be 27,450 gold coins!

The highest bid for the First item!

Even back in the Republic, the highest bid there for the last and best item was only 51,220 gold coins.

And here, the first item alone already surpassed that by more than it's half the amount of bid.....
