Scene: Trade city Ashton

The Trade city Ashton is a very well known prosperous city... for it is a city with roads leading to 3 kingdoms, it is also under the protection of these kingdoms that made the crime rate in the city undeniably low.

With these kingdoms, in a partnership for a long time now, people would refer to it as the Tridom Republic

....

While the people on the city was hustling and bustling, a rumbling sound was heard.

When people glanced at where the sound came from. All of them took a look at the sky.

What they saw was a flying beast that no one has seen before. What surprised them was that it isn't even moving its wings. Those that has keen eyes would see that its some sort of a metal object.

The metal object flew around the city as it looks like its looking for something.

The civilians then started to panic, others started to leave the city immediately while the adventurers started to move around the perimeter of the city, in preparation for a possible attack.

Heavy footsteps then came going around. Shouts saying " Archers ready!!" and "Mages form a barrier fast!!!" came all around the city.

"Grand Mage Marx what do you think it is?" asked a cloaked man to the person named Marx. Marx using the magic called 'sight' a no attribute magic replied "I don't know, i've never seen a dragon like this before, i don't even know if its a dragon!" exclaimed Marx.

"Dragon or not we need to know Marx." said the cloaked man

"Don't worry, i plan to go up there. But you're coming with me Driff." said Marx to the cloaked man whose name seems to be Driff.

Marx and Driff flew, going near to the unknown thing in the sky. By the time they got close, the unknown thing immediately made a u-turn.

Marx and Driff was surprised from its action and followed it. They also heard some people cheering below them, but paid no heed to the cheering and kept following it.

A few hours later Marx said " Do you have any more mana potions? Im running out of mana." Driff then replied "2 bottles left, damn that thing just kept moving east. I don't even know were we are at the moment."

" Ahhh come on quit yapping and give this old man the juice already, im starting to lose spe--, hmm?! What's that?!"

Driff took a look at were Marx pointed out and was shocked at what he saw.

Just about near the sea, something was floating on it. It was huge, it was about 360 senus. And there seems to be more of it on the huge thing

Marx and Driff landed near shore while watching the flying metal object go to the huge object on the sea.

Totally flabbergasted by what they saw, they didn't notice some people in weird clothing go near them.

By the time they noticed they were already surrounded. The two immediately put on their fighting stances. Ready to strike the possible enemy.

The weird clothed people on the other hand raised their own respective weapons. However Marx and Driff was wondering why would they raise iron rods at them.

The whole area was silent, until someone from the weird clothed people spoke first.

"Hello, can you understand me?" asked that weird clothed person who spoke.

Marx and Driff glanced at each other. Driff nodded to Marx, Marx then said "What kind of question is that suppose to mean?"

The weird clothed person had a look of surprise then started murmuring. Then he said "I'll take your question as a yes then, so why don't we just drop our 'weapons' and talk peacefully."

After a while of silence, Marx and Driff nodded. Ofcourse that didn't mean they dropped their vigilance.

"Great then I am Captain Ronaldo, the leader of this scout team. May we know if you are inhabitants of this land, also what country this is?"

Seemingly the person who spoke was Ronaldo, the previous escort team leader. And now he's the scout team leader of this sector.

With a weird questioning gaze Marx replied, he also replied as he see fit. "This is the Tridom Republic of the Astania continent. What about you people, where did you come from? Also what is that huge thing on the sea?"

Ronaldo getting the information he was tasked to get, answered Marx's question. "That is an air carrier."

"An air what?" asked Marx with an incredulous expression.

"Well this will be hard to explain" thought Ronaldo.

While Ronaldo was explaining what an air carrier was (in vague details that is). Air chopping sounds was heard from the distance.

A PTC076 (Philippine Troop Carrier --- futuristic copter) came into view, when it landed two people in their 30's came down.

Ronaldo did a salute while Marx and Driff became more vigilant. "Captain Ronaldo,you did your part. we'll take it from here" said one of the men/man ( IDK okay).

"Yes sir" said Ronaldo.

"Sorry for that, I am Colonel Antonio the one beside is Colonel Carl. May we know who you people are?" said Antonio.

Marx took a look at Driff then Driff move forward and said, "I am Driff Bloodhoud, this is Marx Morlan. I am a Grand Ranger of the Tridom Republic, Marx is one of the Grand Mage of the Republic as well."

Antonio looked at Carl and Carl nodded, "If its not a problem with you two can you come with us?" Antonio said.

" And why would we come with you?" (Driff)

"We just want to ask questions, if its uncomfortable with you we can do it here, although we can't tell you some general information if you ask questions to us." said Antonio knowing were the situation is coming

"Let us think about it." (Driff)

"Okay then." (Antonio)

After a few moments of talking with Marx, the two finally came to a decision. "Alright we agree to your conditions, we do want to know a few stuff from you people anyway." said Driff.

Antonio then signaled for them to get in the copter. Marx and Driff was quite hesitant to enter but still entered. When the copter starts to fly, Marx and Driff felt a bit uneasy.

After a few moments Marx asked " Uhh how high are we exactly in the sky that is?"

Carl then said, " We are approximately 7000 ft high in the air at the moment. Why did you ask?"

Marx and Driff had a look of disbelief when they heard that. Marx exclaimed "7000 ft?!?! you're saying that this thing can go 7000 ft in the air just like that?!?! Even a Grand Mage like myself would have a hard time sustaining such height for long times?!?!"

Driff then said "Wait you said 'at the moment' are you saying this thing can go higher?"

Antonio seemingly can't catch up to the questions being asked just said "Well yes up to 15000 ft that is"

"Fif-Fifteen Thousand feet......." Marx stuttered when he heard that.

Then it dawned on them, this unknown force they just encountered is undeniably more powerful than they thought, then Driff asked " Does this thing use magic?"

"Magic huh, you guys probably did it to fly as well, to answer your question then 'this thing' does not use 'Magic' like how you guys use it to fly." replied Antonio.

Marx and Driff then felt shivers in their spine. They both thought "We must not make an enemy of this unknown force"

(Author Note: this world also uses feet/foot in measuring height also why Philippines knows magic beacues of villages they went to and i skip that i'll just put it on side story.)

When the copter landed in the carrier, Marx and Driff were still surprised by how huge the thing in the sea was . When they asked what this thing was, the answer they got was "The air carrier is a type of ship that carries air type military vehicles. Such a ship is also used on multiple operations or on some air exercises or naval exercise."

Marx then said "Wait this thing is a ship?! How does it sail without sails?! With such size its bound to be undeniably heavy right? So how does it stay afloat? Does this thing use magic or not?!"

Bombarded by questions, Carl and Antonio could only smile while slowly walking away. In a place that looked so backward the only thing they could just possibly do is stay silent due to them probably not even understanding their technologies concepts.

Driff seeing the discomfort in Carl and Antonio's eyes started to stop Marx from asking more. They accepted the other party's condition so that they would know what and were this unknown force came from.

But ofcourse a person who is a mage would do anything just to get unfathomable knowlegde would be crazy when they found out that such things can be made even without magic.

A few moments after Marx calmed down (actually got knockout by Driff), Driff then said "I'm sorry for the inconvenience we can continue now"

Carl and Antonio who was now 10 senus(meters) away then said, "Its alright just follow us."

Driff nodded and followed Carl and Antonio while dragging Marx with him.

(In a guest room inside the carrier)

"So Colonel Antonio still have some matters to attend to so i'm going to be the one to answer your questions , while doing so i would ask some questions too is that fine?" (Carl)

"That is fine by me" said Driff with the still unconscious Marx.

"Lets start then, are their other 'republics' or country like yours?" (Carl)

"Yes there are, but there are many kingdoms and republics like ours but the most talk about are the 8 Empires of the world." (Driff)

"Empires huh, can you name them"(Carl)

"Dragonov Empire, Haldin Empire, Sirius Empire, Triam Empire, Pilanda Empire, Bhutalin Empire, Blatain Empire, and Mulin Empire. This are the 8 Empires of the world" (Driff)

" I see, Are you in any of these empires?" (Carl)

"Yes we are, the Tridom republic is a part of the Pilanda Empire."(Driff)

"Does the Pilanda empire concentrate on technology?" (Carl)

With a composed look, Driff said " No, the technology ones are the Sirius and Triam Empire. The Pilanda Empire concentrates on all elemental magic, the same goes for the Bhutalin Empire."

"How about the other empire's?"(Carl)

"The Dragonov and Haldin are magic and technology while the Blatain and Mulin Empires are two element magic."(Driff)

"I see, one last question. By 'world' do you mean Earth?"(Carl)

With a confused look, Driff replied "Earth? what is that, if your referring to the name of the world then it is Sonari."

"I ..... See" said Carl with an uncomfortable look.

"Seeing that you are done can i ask my questions now?" said Driff.

" Yeah you can ask now." said Carl.

"Alright then, who are you people? Were did you come from?"(Driff)

"We are people of the country known as Philippines, it is located east from here"(Carl)

"Philippines? Is it an empire?"(Driff)

"No Philippines is not an empire."(Carl)

"Okay.... Then, are all things in your country made with things with no magic?" (Driff)

"Yes all things on our country are made with no magic, rather we have the term science." (Carl)

"Science what is that?" (Driff)

"That i cannot tell" (Carl)

"How far in the east is your 'country' then?" (Driff)

"That, i still do not know" (Carl)

The situation seems a little.....tense. With direct questions and answers, Driff felt a very much tense atmosphere.

Driff then stopped and kept the questions he wanted to ask to himself for the moment.

"That is all i'd like to ask at the moment" (Driff)

"I see .... So what would you liked to do now?" (Carl)

"For now me and my 'friend would like to go back to our place at the moment. But we would probably be back with some people with us from the royal families of the republic. Would that be alright with you?" (Driff)

"Wait let me ask my superiors." (Carl)

After a few moments of silence (with Carl talking on the radio as an exception) Carl then said.

"Alright we agree but by royal families are those the same as the ones governing your republic?" (Carl)

"Yes they are" (Driff)

"Then we would like to ask for diplomatic relations when they come is that fine?" (Carl)

" I will ask them, you can wait when we comeback at the same 'shore' "(Driff)

"I see then" (Carl)

"Alright we would be taking our leave now" (Driff)

Carl then asked "Would you like to go by copter or you would leave on yohr own?" (Carl)

"By copter do you mean that thing you guys used to fly in the sky?" (Driff)

"Well yes" replied Carl.

Driff contemplated for a moment then said. "Alright only halfway though" (Driff)

With a sigh, Carl said "Alright then"

And that was the conclusion of the 'questioning' of both parties.

....

"This area should be fine" (Driff)

"Alright i'll say to the pilot that we'll land here" (Carl)

(After landing)

"Okay then we'll manage on our own now, i'll give you something for communications when it is time to meet again." (Driff)

Driff then gave an orb like object to Carl.

"Press the circle at the top when the orb lights up through that we would be able to communicate" (Driff)

"Well thank you then" (Carl)

Right after that the two parties parted with friendly connections formed.

Eventually Driff's decision to give that communication device to Carl would eventually save his life in the future.
