***Two Years Later***

"Swampert, use Water Pulse!" Leafia, orders. Swampert obeys, sending the attack.

"Eevee, dodge it with Dig!" I say, as Eevee dives into the ground.

"Use Earthquake!" Leafia yells. As Swampert is about to attack, Eevee appears from underground, hitting Swampert under his chin, knocking him out.

"Whoa, you're better than I thought," Leafia says, returning Swampert.

"You're lucky I didn't use Leafeon, otherwise you would've lost forsure."

"Maybe, but at least I know I'm ready for the tournament," I say, as Eevee runs up and jumps in my arms. My metal arm shakes slighty but I ignore it.

"I still don't get why you didn't contact your friends, especially Serena. You really like her so why don't you tell her?" Leafia asks, as we both start walking towards the wooden house.

"I told you. She has a boyfriend who's she's very happy with. I'm not trying to get in between them!"

"So you're gonna let yourself get screwed over?"

"Yes, just as long as she's happy."

***Serena's POV

"Serena! Ash! How are you guys?" Yellow screams, running up to us an engulfing us in a hug.

After all of the Pengen was in safe hands, and everything seemed to be normal again, everyone went their separate ways. The Pokedex Holders when back to their thing.

May went on to travel in Kalos.

Dawn went back to Sinnoh.

I continued on with my journey through Hoenn and Ash went to the Alola region. We kept in touch during our journeys, so once we finished, we both returned to Kalos, where I finally became Kalos Queen and Ash became Kalos's champion. We've been there since.

"We're good! We missed you guys!" I says, hugging her back. Ash is busy keeping Pikachu from shocking everyone.

"You look great!" Yellow says, as she gets a better look at my outfit. I'm wearing a white flowy dress, with a black hat and black shoes.

"But I don't look nearly as good as you," I say, laughing. Yellow blushes, and spins in her yellow sun dress.

"Thank you, Mrs. Kalos Queen."

"Oh stop it!" I say, blushing.

"Where is everyone else?" Ash asks, as he pulls at his tie again. He's wearing a white dress shirt along with black dress pants and tie.

"Oh, they're already sitting down! We should go, before Gold starts speaking," Yellow says, grinning. I lock arms with Ash as we follow Yellow into the hallway that will lead us into the stadium.

Gold's and Crystal's wedding is today. And how does Gold plan to celebrate? By hosting a Pokemon tournament in Johto, inviting trainers from around the world.

What a great honeymoon.

"Hi guys! Guess who I found roaming around in the back!" Yellow yells, as all the Pokedex Holders turn around.

"Hi!" I exclaim, as Ash and I go around saying hi to everyone.

Once we approach Sarah, I see she's holding a child wearing a pink and yellow dress with a pink bow in her hair, while Sarah is wearing an all white dress.

"Sarah!" I exclaim.

"Serena! Ash!" She yells, hugging us each.

"Is that who I think it is?" I ask, as I pick up the baby girl from Sarah's lap.

"Yep. That's Elizabeth."

"She's so big!" Ash says, as he tickles her under the shin. Elizabeth giggles.

"Haha! Stop it Uncle Ash!" She exclaims, trying to swat his hands away.

"How old is she now?" I ask, as I rub my nose against hers.

"She's going to be three when the tournament is over, so in three days," Sarah says, standing and walking over.

"Almost time for cake!" She says. I smile.

"Did you miss your godparents sweetie?" Sarah asks, as she kisses Elizabeth's face. She smiles.

"I did miss Auntie Serena and Uncle Ash!"

"Aw, I missed you too Elizabeth," I say, kissing her cheek.

"I still can't believe you chose us over everyone else to be her godparents," I say.

"Yeah, well, I know you two are the least crazy of the bunch, and I trust you guys. Plus, I still don't know about the whole Yellow and Red situation," Sarah says, pointing towards a few seats up from. Yellow and Red are sitting next to each other, whispering and laughing.

"Well, at least that's progress," Ash says.

"Uh huh," I say, eyeing Ash.

"What?"

"Nothing. Let's have a child together."

"Huh?"

"Nothing!"

Sarah laughs, as she takes Elizabeth back. She starts to squirm and cry.

Suddenly, two tiny figures popped out of no where, and jumps in front of Sarah, cheeks sparking.

"Pichu! Plusle! Hi!" I yell, as I rush over and pick them up.

Their aggressive looks are quickly taken over by smiles as they hug me back.

"Sorry about that. Pichu and Plusle tasked themselves with taking care of Elizabeth. They're so sweet," Sarah says.

"You guys are so cute and caring," I say, as I put them down and they run up to Elizabeth, who begins chasing them around.

"Minun, come on out!" I say, unleashing Minun. The three mice pokemon run to each other and have a reunion.

"Another one!" Elizabeth yells, as she begins chasing them again. The three mice pokemon scramble in different directions, causing Elizabeth to laugh.

"So Sarah, any word on Jason?" Ash asks. Sarah's smile quickly disappears.

"No."

That was a pretty hard no.

"Well, I'm sure something will come up soon!" I say, with a big smile.

"If he was alive, then why wouldn't he come straight to us?" Sarah asks, her voice slightly monotone.

I need to talk to her early about Jason. She used to be so hopeful, now she's just so defeated.

"Well, he didn't have a really good reason to stay. Or at least he didn't know he had any," Ash explains.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask, getting irritated.

"What he means Serena, is that he was so heartbroken, he just needed to get away. And his feelings towards me weren't enough to want to stay. But I'm sure if he knew about his daughter, he would've stayed," Sarah says, picking up and hugging Elizabeth. Elizabeth waves her arms randomly, squealing.

"Is today very important?" Elizabeth asks.

"Yes it is. Today Gold and Crystal will commit to each other for life," Sarah answers her daughter.

"So that means daddy will be here right? Since you said he'll come to important events?"

Ash and I immediately look at Sarah, who looks at the ground.

Why did she tell her that?

Ugh, one second she thinks Jason's dead, and the other she's hoping he's alive. Thanks to that we now have to lie to poor Elizabeth.

"Hello, and welcome to this special event!"

"Oh, honey, we have to go sit down. Gold is starting on this tangent!" Sarah says, as we quickly rush to our seats in the VIP box.

Good timing Gold.

"I don't wanna hear Uncle Gold talk! He talks too much!" Elizabeth pouts.

I laugh.

"Sorry Elizabeth, but like mommy said today is his special day so we have to let him talk one more time." I explain, as we take our seats. Ash automatically finds my hand, and wraps his fingers around it. I smile and gently squeeze it.

"I love you Ash."

"I love you Serena."

"I love cake," Elizabeth says.

The box quickly fills with laughter.

"Oh Lizzy, what am I going to do with you?" Sarah asks, as we manage to calm down and listen.

"Thank you so much for coming out here to celebrate our special day," Gold says, as he holds Crystal's hand.

They're both wearing their wedding outfits, with Gold is his black tuxedo and Crystal's long, elegant white wedding dress.

"Sorry ladies, I'm officially off the market for good, and I'm a-ok with it," Gold says with a smirk. Crystal rolls her eyes, and grabs Gold and bends him over for a kiss.

The whole crowd goes wild and I can heard Pearl doing a Pontya whistle.

"Oh, some things never change," Sarah says, as Elizabeth covers her own eyes.

Gold eventually gathers his posture, and brings the microphone to his mouth again.

"Anyway, with a special day like this, we have to do something special for it. And what's more special than a Pokemon tournament?"

The crowd goes wild again.

"Now here's how it's going to work: we are going to host three tournaments, and each tournament is about a day long. One tournament is for rookie trainers, the other for experienced trainers, and the last one for people who are experienced enough to be in the master class."

The whole crowd starts "oh"-ing when Gold says master class.

"And we'll get the top two of each tournament and they'll get a medal. Not only that, they'll have the choice to battle one Pokemon Champion," Gold says, pointing at the VIP box next to use. All the champions stand up and wave for the cheering crowd.

"Or they can choose one of the Pokedex Holders to battle as well!" Gold says, pointing at our VIP box.

We all stand and smile and wave as well.

"Now, before we start with the rookie tournament, we have a special treat for everyone here today," Gold says, as Crystal walks up and hugs his arm.

"Surprise? Any idea what it could be?" I ask.

"No idea. This is the first time I've heard of it." Sarah answers.

"Battle! Battle!" Elizabeth chant, clapping her hands together.

"We have two trainers that registered late, but they're both very talented trainers that would belong in the master class. So, I thought if they worked together against Crystal and I, to prove their worth in a double battle, they would be put in."

The crowd cheers in approval.

"I wonder who the two trainers are," Ash asks, as Pikachu stares intensely. Pichu, Plusle and Minun all hop on Sarah, nuzzling with Elizabeth.

"The first trainer is from the Sinnoh region. She has all eight badges and is ready to prove herself to the world. Give a warm welcome to Leafia!"

***Jason's POV, moments before***

"Are you sure you want to wear that ridiculous cloak?" Leafia asks, as she shakes her head at me.

"Yes, I need something to cover my face," I say, as I put on sunglasses and cover my face with the hood.

"Why don't you put yours on?"

"I told you! I'm never wearing that thing!" Leafia says, sticking her tongue at me.

"Leafia!" Gold yells through the speakers.

"I'll see you out there!" Leafia says, as she skips out into the stadium.

My heart starts beating like crazy.

After these two long years, I'm finally going to see all of my friends. And I'm finally going to see her.

***Serena's POV

"This trainer, he, uh, is a good one! I don't much about him, but his name is John!" Gold says, as he turns off the mic and tosses it aside as he and Crystal walk over to their side. From the tunnel, there's a hooded figure walking over. The crowd cheers weakly as he makes his way over to the battfield.

"Go go go go!" Elizabeth yells, jumping in Sarah's lap.

What in the world?

"Lizzy, calm down! Why are you cheering so hard?" Sarah asks, as she tries to get Elizabeth to be quiet.

"I don't know mommy, something in here tells me," Elizabeth says, pointing at her chest.

That can't be Jason. Can it?

No! That's crazy talk! It's no way it's him.

Right?

The hooded figure makes it to the battlefield next to Leafia.

Pichu, Minun, and Plusle all look at each other.

Gold unleashes his Typhosion and Crystal unleashes Mangiuim. Leafia unleashes a Leafeon. The hooded talks to Leafia, then tosses a Pokeball out in front of him.

"Eevee, it's showtime!"

I'm hit with some deja vu. I know I've heard that before.

The way the man positions himself and talks to Eevee. I can't help but get a familiar feeling from him.

Then it hits me like a truck.

"It's Jason!"
