The Boys
Third Person POV
Frankie led Y/n through the bustling hallways, the excitement in her voice never fading. The girls showed Y/n around every part of school, like how Frankie did earlier that day.
Frankie: "You're gonna love it here! Well, minus the occasional monster drama—but hey, that's part of the charm." She said with excitement in her voice.
The young normie listens to her, as she and the rest of the girls lead him to the creepateria. He was quiet most of the time while Frankie and the girls were talking. Mainly he didn't want to be rude and interrupt them in case they said something important.
It wasn't because he was nervous or shy, he just didn't want to be rude. He wanted to make a good impression with these girls and not try to get on their bad side.
Frankie: "And here we are the creepateria!"
As they turned a corner, a boy with black-and-blond hair, glasses, and a yellow sweater vest nearly bumped into them.
???: "Whoa! Sorry about that," he said, adjusting his glasses. He looked at Y/n and blinked in surprise.
???: "Wait... are you human?" He asked as looks at Y/n up and down.
Y/n: "Ummm Yea." He said with a nervous tone.
Frankie grinned. She steps beside Y/n and stands right next to him.
Frankie: "Yep! Y/n, meet Jackson Jekyll—our other human student."
Jackson's eyes widened. He was surprised to see another human in Monster High along with him.
Jackson: "No way! I thought I was the only one."
Y/n chuckled. He kind of feels glad that he wasn't the only human in Monster high.
Y/n: "Guess not anymore."
Before Jackson could say more, a sudden burst of fire erupted beside them.
???: "Yo, what's up, new guy?" A flaming-haired boy in a leather jacket grinned.
Heath: "Name's Heath Burns, resident hothead."
Frankie: "Literally," she muttered.
Some of the girls rolled their eyes, mainly Abbey who seem pretty annoyed from his presence.
Y/n: "I see." He said quietly.
Then a tall, finned boy stepped forward, smiling. He had a bowl like helmet, filled with water covering his entire head.
Gil: "And I'm Gil Webber. Hope you don't mind a little water—I kinda splash a lot."
Clawdeen: "More like a lot," she teased.
A deep chuckle came from a muscular werewolf. He had on a black jacket with white and purple stripes, along with a white undershirt.
Clawd: "I'm Clawd Wolf, Clawdeen's older brother. If you ever need backup, I got your back." He said, offering his hand to Y/n.
Y/n: "T-Thank you." He said as he shook Clawd's hand.
Beside him, a zombie with a slow but friendly nod groaned, "Slooow Mo."
It was another Zombie that Y/n still couldn't understand what they were saying. Although the guys explained that his name was slow mo.
Y/n: "It's nice to meet you."
Then, a cool voice cut in. "And I'm Deuce Gorgon," a guy with snakes for hair smirked, adjusting his shades.
Deuce: "Don't worry, I keep these bad boys under control." He said pointing to the boys next to him.
Y/n took a breath, overwhelmed but amazed. These guys were so kind to him just like the girls, they weren't picking on him for being a normie.
Y/n: "Wow... this school really is different."
Frankie grinned.
Frankie: "And you've only met half of us! Ready to see more?" She asked, knowing what the answer would be.
Y/n laughed. He started to feel more excited than being nervous to meet new people.
Y/n: "Bring it on." He said with full excitement in his voice.
As soon as Y/n got their lunch and walked toward an empty table, the group stayed behind, watching them go.
The air grew tense.
The girls—Frankie, Clawdeen, Draculaura, Cleo, Ghoulia, and Lagoona—stood with strict, unyielding expressions. Their arms were crossed, eyes sharp, their energy cold and distant.
The boys—Deuce, Clawd, Jackson, Gil, Heath, and Slow-Mo—shifted awkwardly, exchanging nervous glances. Deuce rubbed the back of his neck. Clawd kept his hands in his pockets, jaw tight. Gil's gills fluttered slightly as he exhaled.
Clawdeen: "This doesn't change anything," she finally said, her voice firm.
The boys nodded quickly.
Heath: "Yeah, yeah, we know," He said, running a hand through his flaming hair.
Gil: "Just... trying to keep things cool."
Lagoona: "Cool? Cool would've been not messing up in the first place." She scoffed.
Jackson adjusted his glasses uncomfortably.
Jackson: "Look, we get it. We're just here for Y/n. That's it."
Draculaura sighed, looking over at Y/n, who was happily eating, completely unaware of the storm brewing behind them.
Draculaura: "For their sake, let's just keep this civil."
Frankie nodded, though her stitches sparked slightly from frustration.
Frankie: "Yeah, but don't think we forgot." She said her voice stern but cold.
The group started moving toward Y/n's table, but the tension remained thick. The girls kept their distance from the boys, making it obvious they had no intention of being too close.
Clawdeen, especially, refused to even glance at Clawd. She had made it clear—she wasn't speaking to her brother, not after what happened. If it weren't for introducing Y/n, she wouldn't even be standing near him.
Clawd, meanwhile, looked at his sister but didn't say a word. He knew better than to try right now.
They reached the table, masking their personal grudges behind polite smiles for Y/n.
Y/n: "So," he said between bites, looking at them all. "Did I miss something?"
Everyone forced a laugh.
Frankie: "Nope!" She said quickly.
Draculaura: "Everything's totally normal."
Y/n raised an eyebrow but shrugged.
Y/n: "Alright... if you say so." He said before going back to eating.
The group sat down, keeping up the act—but the unspoken history lingered, waiting to surface again.
Y/n's POV
As the girls sat with me and ate their lunch. I couldn't help feel like there was something going on. There something on my mind while were eating, the way the girl were acting was strange. Especially when he noticed that the boys were not at the same table with them.
Y/n's mind: "Whatever it is that's going on, it's probably none of my business. Probably best not to get involved."
He knew better to not get into others business without permission. Especially if he didn't do the whole story, he didn't want to get tangled in someone else's drama.
And from the way the girls were acting towards the boys, it's saying that something happened, and by the looks of it it didn't look good.
So Y/n decided to stay out of it and not ask them right now.
Y/n: "So, where we going after lunch?" I asked Frankie.
The girls looked up on their lunch, they looked at Y/n before looking at Frankie. The girl took a bite of her sandwich before speaking.
Frankie: "Well after lunch we have to head to our next class." She said before taking their bite of her sandwich.
All the girls nodded as they continue eating their lunches. There was something on my mind though that I had to ask Frankie.
Y/n: "Do we all have the same classes together?"
The girls then stop eating and look at me for a moment.
Frankie: "I don't know, that's a good question."
Clawdeen: "Let us see your class schedule?" She kindly asked.
Slowly I reached into my pocket and pulled out my class schedule. Then I handed it to her, she gracefully takes it and starts to look through it.
Some of the ghouls leaned over to also have a look.
Clawdeen: "Well it seems like you're stuck with us for all of your classes." She says as she shows the schedule to her friends.
All the girls read my schedule and see that I have the same classes as they do.
Y/n: "I guess I can't argue with that?"I said as I shrug my shoulders before I went back to eating.
Draculaura: "Don't worry, we'll be with you every step of the way." She said giggling.
All the girls at the table nodded, we continue eating and struck up a conversation. One thing that stuck with me was something I didn't understand.
Why were these girls being so nice to me? Especially since I'm a normie, a lot of monsters I met over the years don't like normies. So this is just all new to me that these girls were being nice to me.
Maybe they're not so bad after all.
To be continued...
