instead of calling Maria Reynolds by her real name I'm calling her Maria Kinloch because I want her to be Francis's sister. So Ye.))

Alex P.O.V.

"John Laurens?" A girl with curly brown hair asked in disbelief. She had a red sweater on and blue jeans. John turned around and gasped.

"Maria Kinloch!?" He asked doing the same thing the girl had done with his name. They hugged. I stood there kind of feeling awkward.

"Who's this?" the girl, who I can only assume is named Maria, asked John as she pointed at me
"This is Alex, he's my boyfriend" John said nervously. Why did he sound so nervous?! He usually rushed to tell everyone we were together. Like seriously, it was usually the first thing he said.
What about my brother?" She asked as she crossed her arms. She observed me as if she was comparing me to something or someone, and based on what she just said I think she was.

"We tried a long distance relationship but it just didn't work out.." John mumbled as he nervously fiddled with his sleeve
"Awww" she sighed "well we just moved here, maybe you could try being together again!" She suggested. As soon as the words left her mouth I grabbed John's hand. He's mine. I don't care if her brother is the president. He can't have John.
"Maybe we could just be friends. I'm happy with Alex" John said leaning his head on my shoulder. I smirked. Take that! He's MINE. Mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine!!!!!

"Hmm. We'll see" she smirked
"Maria. Seriously. I want to be with Alex. Plus I don't think I can put up with Francis's bullshit." He said rolling his eyes. I wanted to laugh in Francis's face.
"That's for sure" Maria laughed "he defiantly hasn't changed any. But I can tell you that he still has feelings for you"
"I don't give a fuck" John admitted
"Well, seeya around!" Maria said before skipping off.

"I don't like Francis or Maria." I said firmly
"Come on. You don't personally know Maria or Francis- although I can understand hating Francis- you don't know him." John pointed out
"I hate Francis for dating you." I said shortly
"Well he's not dating me anymore and he never will." John assured me
"Promise me." I demanded
"I promise." He said kissing me. I kissed him back for a second before he pulled away.

Some guy with short curly brown hair tapped John on the shoulder. John turned around.
"What do you want Francis?" He asked rolling his eyes
"Well Maria told me you were here." He said "figured I'd come get my boyfriend back"
"I'm not you're boyfriend." John snapped
"Who's this?" He asked gesturing towards me "another boy toy?"
"This is Alex. He's my boyfriend." John said proudly as he held my hand. I wrapped my arm around John's waist protectively.
"Hmm. Let me know when you're done with him" Francis told me before walking off

"Now that I've met him can I hate him?" I asked John
"Yes please." John chuckled. He hugged me "shorty" he mumbled.
"Hey!" I laughed pushing him off of me. We both laughed before going to pay for the things we had gotten.
"Seriously why did you ever like him?" I asked John
"I have no idea but I regret it." He said hugging my arm.

We went home and wrapped presents. My present to John was already under the tree. It was the best gift ever. He'll love it. I know he will.

"WAKE UP IT'S CHRISTMAS" John yelled as he knocked on my door. I got out of bed and grabbed something. I opened he door and smiled at John.
"What's behind your back?" He asked seeing that I had my hands behind my back
"This" I said holding up a piece of mistletoe
"Oh my god" he laughed "If you start carrying that around I'll start carrying that stuffed bear around" he joked as he pecked me on the lips
"Please don't" I chuckled
"Let's open presents!! I got you the best thing in the world!!!" He said tugging on my arm "oh and Alex-" he added
"Yes?"
"How tall are you?"
"5'7" I said "why?"
"Cause I'm 5'9" he said before running downstairs. I chased after him.

"Shorty!" He said
"Two inches!!"

Washington laughed at us "Are we going to open presents or are you going to just chase each other"
"Presents!" John said
"I choose to chase him" I said running after him. He ran outside.

"John!! It's too cold!!!" I complained, standing at the doorway. He came inside.
"I win" he said triumphantly. I glared at him.

"Can we open presents now?" He asked
"Ok ok" I chuckled
