Another confusing title ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

John P.O.V.

I was in steak n' shake eating my food. I was supposed to be meeting up with my dad but surprise surprise he didn't show up. I turned around to hear arguing between a young girl and who I assume are her parents.

"This is unacceptable" I heard the girls mother say
"Mama I just -" she started
"No" her dad cut in. Her parents stood up and started walking away. I stared out the window and watched in awe as her parents drove off leaving her crying on the curb. I quickly paid for my food and left. (Lol why did I put 'I quickly paid for my phone.' at first? Am I high?)

I made my way over to the little girl.

"Hey, what happened?" I asked softly as I sat next to her
"I finally told my parents I was lesbian..." she cried
"You can come home with me" I offered. She nodded wiping away tears.

I drove to my house. The girl was silent the whole time.
"I have a boyfriend" I told her trying to make her feel better about being lesbian.
"That's beautiful" she said smiling softly

We got to my house and...hell. My 'parents' weren't happy about the little girl.

"You want a daughter get your own house!" my 'dad' snapped
"You took me in why can't you take her in?" I snapped back. The little girl was clinging to my arm.
"Get out." He said firmly
"Fine!" I said storming up the stairs to my room. I started quickly packing my stuff.

"I'm sorry" she said
"Don't be. We can stay with my boyfriend" I started. I had all my clothes stuffed in a suitcase. I managed to squeeze a few sketch books and my laptop in as well.

"Let's go" I said smiling. So we left. I drove to Alex's house. I had been driving Lafayette's car. I told him before we left what happened and he agreed to come get his car the next day. I refused to call Lafayette's parents my parents but I could say Lafayette is my brother. Ever since the Frances incident Lafayette has always just been there. He has stopped trying to get with Alex and even stopped harassing me at school.

I knocked on Alex's door and I was relieved when Alex answered and not Washington.

"Who's this?" Alex asked with a smile
"My daughter.." I said slowly. His smile slowly faded as he realized I wasn't joking.
"And I need help" I added "I got kicked out..."
"John I don't know..." He started
"Alexander I'm not asking you to be her other parent, I'm asking for a place to stay.." I explained quickly. He nodded and stepped aside, letting us in.

"She can stay in the guest bedroom and you can sleep with me" he offered
"Thank you" I said tiredly

We all went upstairs. Alex showed the little girl her room.

"You're crazy" Alex teased. I rolled my eyes playfully. Alex sat on the bed beside the little girl.
"What's your name?" He asked kindly
"Eleanor" she responded. I froze. Alex looked up at me knowing I'd be upset. I ran to the bathroom in tears. Alex ran after me.

"John" he said softly. I cried into my hands.

"I- I know your sisters name was Eleanor..but" He started
"But what?! My sisters gone..." I sobbed
"come on.." he said wiping away my tears "she needs you" I nodded getting up and going back to the other room, holding Alex's hand.

"D-did I do s-something?" she stuttered
"No" I said trying to calm her down
"It's just- my sisters name was Eleanor.." I trailed off not wanting to talk about it
"Oh ok..you can call my Ellie" she offered. I smiled softly.

Chapters are gonna start being shorter.
Before you freak the fRicC out listen- it's easier to do shorter chapters and there a lot quicker to type. I promise I'll add a few longer chapters but it'll mostly be shorter ones like this.

The plus side is the faster I can type em the more chapter you get
