"So what's next then in your sick twisted idea of a game?" Mark scowled bitterly.

"The rules are simple, just be the only team to survive and you can only use your avatar powers to win. I think you'll have fun since this isn't an unknown game for you." Angelica giggled before falling silent as their environment formed round them.

They were all on a plane, the wind roaring outside which made the plane jostle around in the turbulence. Each person could see a map in the plane that had several copies so each person could have one with them.

"Are we...." Ken trailed off in awe.

"Yep...this is PUBG." Kevin realized.

"None of this makes sense though!" Mariah chimed in.

"I'll try and explain it to everyone later, but right now we gotta find a drop point. My guys, jump now where I put the marker." Matt instructed, doing his best to hide the fear barely evident in his tone.

The Hi-Five crew abruptly hopped out of the plane with parachutes strapped to their backs, hurtling towards their destination that was unknown to the others.

"What does she mean 'use our avatar powers'?" Ethan interjected.

"Each of us has an ability remember?" Mark reminded him, gesturing to his wings curled around his arms to save space in the cramped plane.

"Oh yeah, this should be interesting." Tyler nodded.

"Alright everyone, let's go here." Felix directed, ponying to a spot on the map.

The group nodded, snatching copies of the map before jumping out of the plane.

Jack screamed as he fell, his eyes squeezed shut in fear while Felix stayed by his side to comfort him since he knew Jack was afraid of heights.

"Guys my parachute isn't working!" Dan panicked, desperately yanking on the string that was supposed to release the parachute until it accidentally snapped off into his hands.

"I got ya." Mark grunted as he grabbed Dan under the arms and extended his wings out as far as he could, gliding over the ground before landing gently on the ground near everyone else.

Jack was shaking violently like a leaf as Phil helped him remove the parachute, his eyes wide in fear and exhilaration.

"Alright, So since we can only use our powers, let's recap what we got." Tyler suggested helpfully.

"I have the ability to turn into a shadow and control darkness." Dan chimed in.

"I turn into a lion." Phil added.

"For some reason I have this teddy bear, but I don't know why." Ken frowned as he dropped it on the ground.

Instantly the teddy bear morphed into a full size grizzly bear, roaring while it bared its razor sharp teeth.

"Hell yeah!" Ken exclaimed as he hopped on its back, a broad grin on his face as he patted the bear's head.

"I'm not sure what I do." Felix admitted as he formed one hand into a fist, watching it instantly begin to glue light blue.

He experimentally punched the ground, causing his fist to leave a giant crater in the ground without injuring his hand.

"Awesome!" Felix cheered in amazement.

"I think I know what mine is." Jack informed the group as he closed his eyes in concentration.

Abruptly his alter egos appeared beside him, as well as Sam. His right eye was glowing a vibrant green, his other eye normal.

"Vell vell vell, how can we help you?" Schneeplestien asked Jack, stroking his white mask covering his mouth thoughtfully.

"I don't care, I just wanna shoot stuff!" Chase shouted excitedly.

"There's no need to fear, Jackaboy-Man is here!" Jackaboy-Man announced proudly.

"This should be interesting." Marvin mused in wry amusement as he watched his counterparts chase each other around.

Sam stayed silent as he floated over to Jack to rest in his shoulder, wrapping his tail around the back of his neck.

"I think mine's kinda obvious." Mark chuckled as he ran a hand across his soft pink wings, watching them flutter in the gentle breeze.

"What about Chica and Tim?" Jack reminded him.

"Oh yeah!" Mark grinned, closing his eyes until Chica and Tim appeared beside him, Chica wagging her tail happily while Tim held onto Mark's shoulder.

"Mine's simple enough." Tyler shrugged as he lifted up Ethan with ease using only one hand.

"Same here." Ethan interjected as he did a front flip out of Tyler's grasp.

"Alright then, let's get going." Ken decided, nudging his bear with his foot to encourage him to move forward while helping Felix hop onto the back to ride along.

"I'll do air surveillance." Mark stated as he shot up into the air like a pink rocket with Chica on his back and Tim still clutching onto his shoulder. 

I'll sneak around and provide help if necessary." Dan stated as he turned into a shadow and disappeared out of sight.

Phil followed by changing into a lion and darting ahead to catch up with Ken.

Meanwhile, the other team was listing off their abilities while moving to avoid whatever was waiting for them in the abandoned housing area that they had landed in.

Connor had the ability to control anything using his video game controller, Matt could summon any kind of tech he wanted, Mariah had fire powers, Tanner had a war hammer, Paul was able to keep track of everyone using his googles as well as contact them if necessary, Gunner has an extremely powerful sword that looked like tin foil for whatever reason, Bryan had an axe, J-Fred had a bow and arrow, Kevin was equipped with a pair of VR goggles that enabled him to see his enemy's weaknesses, and Sam had a bubble wand that allowed her to blow bubbles to make a shield or cause enemies to fly away until the bubble popped.

Neither team knew that they weren't playing regular PUBG against each other.

"Um, hey guys?" Mark bit his lip as he landed by Felix and Ken.

"There's zombies near our position." Mark informed them.

"Does anyone else in our group know?" Felix demanded grimly.

"No, I haven't been able to find the others." Mark sighed in exasperation.

"Find them then!" Felix snapped in frustration.

Mark gave a terse nod as he took to the air again, his expression a mask of grim determination as his eyes closely scanned the apocalyptic looking ground below for signs of his friends.

"Help!"

Mark's eyes darted to where he heard the sound emanate from, seeing Jack below surrounded by zombies.

Mark dive bombed down towards him, allowing Chica to hop off of his back and attack the nearest zombie while he lashed out at the others with Jack and his ego's help.

Chase fired trick shot after trick shot at them  with his NERF gun, the bunkers bouncing off of trees before hitting his target and crumpling to the ground.

Schneep stood back warily, fiddling with his blue rubber gloves as he watched the group fight.

Jackaboy-Man was punching zombies left and right without a care in the world, occasionally saying puns which caused Jack to smile slightly despite his fear.

Sam lashed out with his tail at the zombies, distracting them more than hurting them.

Within moments, all of the zombies were cleared out, Jack's egos disappeared to rest, and everyone was unharmed.

"Good girl." Jack cooed, running a hand through Chica's soft golden fur.

"She's a good bub." Mark agreed with a smirk as she laid down on the ground to sleep.

"Hey guys!" Matt called out to the two and their companions, riding towards them in a large vehicle that held the other Hi-Five members.

"How did you get that?!" Mark yelled as he jumped to the side to avoid getting ran over, Jack diving to the other side.

"I got a tech armband dude!" Matt laughed as he parked the car to let everyone out.

"Are you here to kill us?" Jack asked warily.

"Are we supposed to? I've never played so I dunno what I'm doing." Kevin shrugged.

"Woah woah woah, I'm not killing anyone." Matt interjected hastily.

"That's how you play the game!" Angelica spoke up angrily.

"I don't want to play them." Matt countered calmly.

"Fine. I'll give you ten seconds to change your mind, and if you don't, I'll eliminate you." Angelica threatened.

"Take me instead!" J-Fred pleaded.

"No!" Bryan protested.

"Goodbye." Angelica huffed as the world around them disappeared once more.

This time, Bryan, J-Fred, Phil, and Ken was gone.

"Why did you take Phil and Ken? They did nothing wrong!" Felix argued.

"Where's Bryan and Joey? What did you do to my family?!" Matt demanded.

"Leave my brother alone!" Kevin snarled fiercely.

"Both teams had to be punished." Angelica stated simply.

"If both teams fail this next game, then you won't like what happens." Angelica warned before falling silent once more.
