Chapter 2 : Party Crashers

Roman POV

I was just calming down about him returning when purple smoke filled in and everyone gasped. I stared in awe as V-Virgil, Remus, and Deceit  appeared. I took in everything I saw. Virgil was wearing dark purple dress pants and a dark emerald green button up shirt. The shirt had the sleeves rolled up at the elbow and the top button was unbuttoned. Virgil had a dark purple plum colored sleeveless vest over his shirt. His hair was still dyed purple, however it was his entire head now, not just the tips of his hair. Virgil was holding a staff thing that looked like it was made of dark oak wood and held his Father's ember. I then looked over at my brother.

Remus was wearing a very intricate design. It was black and had green accents. He adorned a sash and had poofy sleeves as well as a high color. Also, glitter. (That description sucks, it's the Duke's outfit)  Remus also had a portion of his hair dyed gray and had a mustache. What alarmed me though, is that he was carrying a morning star. Quickly I shifted my gaze over to Deceit. He looked the same, except for the fact that half of his face had scales. Half of his face had scales!!! I was shook. I focused on his outfit to distract from his scales. He wore a simply black suit with a yellow undershirt. he also had yellow gloves, weird, and a black bow-tie. On his head was a black hat.

Virgil seemed to realize that the guards were coming. "Oh, pish posh," Virgil waved his hands and his staff, along with Remus' morning star disappeared. "We come in peace." I was awe struck. What the hell was he doing here? We come in peace, what the fuck was that?

"Mhmh" I cleared my throat to get the attention of the party crashers. Virgil shifted his eyes to me and he took my breath away. Over the year and a half that he was gone he seemed to only get more handsome and powerful. His eyes, which nobody could even look at a year ago, were the most enticing things ever that I never wanted to look away. I shook my head, get it together Roman! I looked back up at Virgil and saw he was staring at me, then I blushed, then I tried to get my blush away, but it wasn't working so I just started speaking.

"Why do you come here?" Virgil smirked. That bastard. I haven't seen him in more than a year and he fucking smirks at me! Virgil just rolled his eyes. "We come on business." He said matter-a-factly. "Business?" I asked in disbelief. Virgil just sighed and smiled. I could hear him in my head going Princey, Princey, Princey.

"Yes, business." Virgil raised his eyebrows tempting me to ask him 'what business.' So, of course, I did. "What business?" Virgil gave a chuckle before answering. "I've come here to negotiate treaties and such." I stared at him in disbelief. Treaties and such? What the fuck has he been up to?

"And why would we negotiate 'treaties and stuff' with you?" Virgil just rolled his eyes again, and smirked at the same time. I was falling in love all over again. Shit.

"I have recently come to power-" Logan stood up and interrupted Virgil, "What power have you come into?" Virgil's head immediately turned towards Logan, "Why Logan, you know it's rude to interrupt a King while speaking." I spit out my drink.

"King, did you say King?" Virgil looked back at me, "Yes." He was giving me a smile that seemed to say 'try me,' "Might I ask King of what Kingdom?" Logan asked. Virgil simply rolled his eyes, yet again. I can tell that over the year and a half he has gotten sassier. "Kingdoms, Logan. Kingdoms, plural." At this everyone gasped.

"What did you do, get one Kingdom and take over another?" I questioned. Virgil simply sighed. "No, then it would still be one Kingdom, like here in Auradon. It is composed of many different nations and Princes' and Princess', but it's still one Kingdom. I have two separate Kingdoms in which I am King."

"Okay, so what Kingdoms?" Everyone was staring between Virgil and I, "Well, begrudgingly I'm King of the Fae, and well," an evil look was portrayed in Virgil's eyes, "the Underworld." Everyone gasped. The Underworld was such a well, large and powerful Kingdom. "What?" Virgil looked around at everyone, "Did you expect me to take over an already existing Kingdom when I had an invitation for the throne?" Virgil was frowning, however Remus was smiling. Remus.

"Might I ask why my brother is here?" At this a lot of people started to gossip. "I'll have you know..." Virgil started staring directly at me, "That Remus has a rather high position in the Underworld, so I'd watch your tone." I gulped. Virgil got scary.

"Well, uh... how did you come to possess your Kingdoms?" Virgil smiled. "Well, after we, disappeared, I knew of my parents standing in certain Domains. So, I simply travelled there and once my, lineage was revealed I swooped in and stole the thrown from my parents. I mean it's not like there was a ruler in either Kingdom, because they were locked onto a non-magic Isle, which by the way is Illegal, to capture and imprison a Queen or King without declaring war and conquering there domain. But, I'll let it slide..." Virgil shrugged his shoulders at the end and I just sat in my chair, speechless.

"Now, I presume you want to finish your feast, so we can wait till after the festivities to get down to business." Virgil signalled Deceit and Remus to follow him as he walked out of the room.

What the fuck just happened?

Virgil POV

I signalled Janus and Remus to follow me out and once we got into the hallway I let out a huge breath I didn't know I was holding. "Holy Hera, I just fucking did that." I exclaimed, still shocked from the interaction. "You were amazing Vi!" Remus squealed. I chuckled and so did Janus.

"Are you okay Rem, with seeing your brother again and all?" I asked. Remus' smile fell, "I'm fine. And he's not my brother. My parents disowned me, remember?" Remus spoke with such venom, but I know he didn't mean to hurt us. Janus just hugged him and whispered something into his ear which got Remus back to his happy self.

"So, what now?" Janus asked me, "I assume you have, what did you say, ah yes, 'treaties and such' that you want to discuss with Roman?" I sighed. "Ya, I'll tell you guys in private." I know I could've just transported us to a private room, but I felt like using my legs for once. "Come on, I think I know a place we can go..." I began to walk through the castle until I got to a door. Then I used my magic to unlock it. Janus and Remus followed in.

I glanced around the room. It had large windows letting in streams of light. A decadent wooden table was in the middle of the room, maps surrounding it.

"So," Remus shimmied and wiggled his eyebrows. "So?" I asked pointedly. "Are you gonna-" before Remus could finish I side eyed Janus. With a short nod, he promptly smacked the back of Remus' hand with his golden glove.

"Harder daddy~" Remus smirked towards Janus. "Shut up you filthy rat."

"Only if you make me."

"Guys!" I snapped. Instantly they both turned to me, "We need to find out what we will discuss with Roman." Remus sighed, he never did like negotiating treaties, that was Janus's specialty. Janus is my advisor, so he, well gives me advice. He also isn't just important in the Underworld, unlike Remus, Janus is my advisor for both Kingdoms.

"The Underworld have armies and the Fae have magic. These are your playing cards. Now, what do you want from Roman?" A few thoughts popped into my head, all of which I shook out. "Umm... I don't know." Janus sighed. "Auradon has many different attributes, such as-" I interrupted Janus. I know what Roman has that I want, and I want it really bad.

"I want to get control of the Isle." I said in revelation. Janus and Remus stared at me. "You- you what? You know they are never going to give it to you!"

I smiled. I know that. "Well we're not leaving until they do."
