(Y/N) POV
I have to admit I never thought my life would be taking a turn like this but I'm glad it did turn out this way. The first day I stayed at the castle all the servants and the maids thanked me for saving Emmeryn, Chrom, and Lissa, they said they would give me a reward and then I could leave but then Emmeryn told them that she decided to make me her personal knight, at this they were all shocked and they tried to convince her to pick another more suitable person but Emmeryn insisted that I became her personal knight and that she would not take no for an answer. They all agreed reluctantly but the Captain of there Knights came up to us.

Captain: Emmeryn, Chrom, Lissa, thank the gods that your safe I was worried about you three!!!!!*He said mad an worried at the same time* I knew that guard couldn't be trusted!!!!!

I turned to see a man with green hair wearing light armor the same color as his hair but a little lighter, he had a blade on his right side and a shield on his back.

Emmeryn: Elric, we're fine thanks to (Y/N).*She said pointing at me*

Elric:*He looks at me* So I have you to thank for saving my lords huh.... Well the names Elric and you must be pretty strong being able to taking down a couple bandit single handily is an impressive feat so what's your name?

(Y/N): The names (Y/N) and I was just passing by when it happened and there's one thing I want to ask you?

Elric: And what would that be kiddo?

(Y/N): Do knights usually betray their lords or is this incident just a small mistake that could've cost the lives of Emmeryn and her family??*I said a little angry at him*

Elric: Ouch that stung a little but you're right I'll do a check to see if there's anyone else who dare think of betraying our lords*Smile and pets your head* You know what kid... I like you so from here on I'm deciding to train you to becoming a proper knight for My Lady Emmeryn, ok?

At this Chrom was shocked and kinda mad at the same time.

Chrom: Whatt?!?!?!!? It too me forever to convince you train me, so whys you allowed him to be you student so fast!!!!!!*Chrom said pointing at you*

Emmeryn: Chrom.....

Elric: Well it because your father didn't want you to learn how to use a sword until you were older but since he passed away I decided to teach you now so stop crying and (Y/N) show me your sword.

I pulled my sword out from its sheathed and showed it to him at its sight he gasped a little.

Elric: Where did you find that blade?

(Y/N): I always had it, I don't remember a lot from my past except my name.

Elric: That sword that you're carrying around is the Yami Blade, the sword of darkness, that's a pretty strong sword in fact it's enough to rival my kings legendary blade Falchion.

(Y/N): Falchion.....?*I asked confused*

Emmeryn: Yes, Falchion is a legendary blade that defeated the evil dragon Grima, it also passed down in our family.

Elric: Yep, know come with me to the training area to test your skill to see if you're actually worthy of protect my lady.*He said trying to show off a little*

Emmeryn: I believe (Y/N) is skilled enough to protect me he already protected me before.*She said try to convince Elric to let the (H/C) boy a break*After all he just got out off fighting a lot of bandit, he must be exhausted.

(Y/N): Thanks for the concern but I'll be fine Emmeryn.*I said smiling at her and then started to pet her head without really knowing why I was doing it*

Emmeryn was blushing brightly at my actions, while Elric and Lissa just laughed and Chrom just got mad at me and started telling me to back away from his sister. As we were walking towards the training area Emmeryn got close to me and started to whisper something.

Emmeryn:*Whisper* I'm sorry about Chrom (Y/N) it's just when we lost our father it hit us all pretty hard, after his death they named me Exalt of Ylisse, so Chrom promised to protect me from anyone he didn't trust.

(Y/N):*Whisper* It's okay Emmeryn I know Chrom is doing this to protect you so I don't mind.

Emmeryn: Thank you for understanding (Y/N).*And with that we reached the training area*

Elric: Here we are now (Y/N) you're gonna spar with me understood?*He said drawing his own sword *

I drew my own sword and Chrom looked at it amazed and so did Elric.

Elric: So that the Yami blade fits it title of blade of darkness, now enough talk let's fight!!!!!!*He said charging at me*

I soon charged at him myself and as I went to clash swords with him he jumped over me and hit my back, it hurt but it didn't cut.

Elric:*Thoughts* He's good if he were a bit faster he could've blocked my attack but I guess he is still a kid but dang when I was his age I wasn't nearly this good.*Speaks out loud* Not bad kid but we just getting started!!!!

(Y/N): Hmph you got one hit on me don't act all high and mighty!!!!!*I yelled running towards them*

He came charging at me as well but this time I was running faster then the last time but the thing was, he was running faster too. As we finally clashed we started countering each other's strikes, blow after blow, strike after strike, each of us looking for an opportunity to take the other one down. Eventually we came to a stand still we I was pushing m sword against his trying to overcome his strength but unfortunately for me he overpowered me and pushed me a good distance back that when we decided to end this.

Elric: Hey kid lets end this...ARRRRGGGGHHH!!!!*He yelled charging at me*

(Y/N): I couldn't agree with you anymore.....ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!*I yelled charging at him*

As we ran towards each other we didn't notice how amazed Emmeryn and Chrom were at our match, but they were even more amazed with my skill being able to keep up with there Knights Captain. Eventually we met up and swung at each other, we had our backs to each other and after a couple more seconds I fell down defeated.

Elric: Hahaha.... Good try kid but you a couple years to early to be challenging me but you have great potential I can wait to help you gain it!!!!!*He then looked at me and his eyes widen**Thinks to himself* He was exhausted and not only that seeing him like that makes me realize that he probably didn't have anything to eat for a couple of day maybe even a week...... This kid...... My lord forgive me, I said I would protect your children but I May have just let the most dangerous threat to them become your daughters personal knight.... Even so I can't help but feel excited*

Emmeryn run up to me and puts my head on her lap, with a really worried look on her face.

Emmeryn: (Y/N)... (Y/N) are you okay!!!

(Y/N): I'm fine thanks for worrying...*Then Chrom came up to me as I got up*

Chrom: Hey (Y/N)..... You're going to be my rival!!!!!*Chrom said kinda shocking me,while Emmeryn was about to say something an Elric was laughing*

Emmeryn: Chrom he-*I cut her off by petting her head*

(Y/N): It's all right Emmeryn, Chrom I accept to be your rival!!!

Chrom:*Jumps in success* Yes!!!! You better be prepared because we're going to fight a lot to see which one of us is the strongest!!!!!!

(Y/N) Yeah!!!!!*Me and Chrom raised our fist in the air excited about this

Emmeryn:*Giggles*I'm glad that you two are finally getting along now

Chrom: Don't get too comfortable (Y/N) I gonna grow stronger than you in no time just you wait!!!!!

(Y/N): I'll believe it wen I see it Chrom *You said staring off with the slightly shorter boy*

And as days passed on I was growing accustomed to the way of life into a castle I've learned a lot of stuff like etiquette, and how to behave like a gentlemen, even making tea for Emm as I know call her after she insisted, and me and Lissa bonded as well, she kept on asking me to play with her and go on little adventures with her, and as day turned to months and moths into years me a Chrom kept on training with Elric and challenging each other as rivals and over time we weren't just rivals we became best friends, and went on many adventures together. But as time went on Elric left and he was never seen or heard from again, so I took his place as Captain of the knights and eventually came a time where Chrom became a Shepherd and was sent on missions.

Present time of Fire Embelm Awakening
Chrom's POV
Lissa, Frederick, and myself were going on a mission to see if any Plegian were crossing into our territory, that's when (Y/N) came up to us and said:

(Y/N): Hey Chrom, Lissa, Frederick, are you sure you don't want me to come Chrom?

Lissa: Heyyy (Y/N)!!!!!*Lissa said running up to me giving me a hug*

Frederick: Greetings Captain.*Frederick said saluting*

Chrom: Hello (Y/N) and no I don't want you to come you have your own mission here remember your supposed to protect Emm.

(Y/N): Emm actually requested me to come with you....*Lissa got happy hearing this and hugged you again as you petted her head*

Lissa: YAYYY!!! (Y/N)'s coming with us!!!

Frederick: If I may ask Captain... I'm more than qualified to protect My lord and lady so if you don't want to trouble yourself you can stay?*Frederick said much to Lissa disappointment*

(Y/N): I have every faith in your skill Frederick, I more worried about Chrom...*I said nonchalantly with a smirk*

Chrom: Is that a challenge, rival*Chrom said smirking then I nod*Fine then I accept you challenge old friend!!!

(Y/N): Alright prove to me how much you've grown Chrom, now let's go!!!!

Emmeryn: Chrom, Lissa, Frederick and (Y/N)*We all looked at our Exalt* Please be carful...

Chrom: Sister don't worry we have (Y/N) and Frederick with us we'll be fine.

Lissa: Yeah Emm we'll be okay so don't worry about us!!

Frederick: I promise your majesty I will protect with my life.

(Y/N):*I walk up to Emm and pet her on the head and everyone face palmed* Don't worry Emm I'll protect everyone even if it cost me my life* I said looking at her and causing her to blush*

The reason everybody face palmed is because she's the exalt and needs to be treated as such but I couldn't have cared less about that.

Emmeryn: I want you to come back as well (Y/N) so please..... Be careful....*Emmeryn said blushing*

(Y/N): Yeah!!!*I said giving her a bright smile*

And at that we all left the castle heading for our destination, while we left Lissa came up and hugged my arm, I allowed it because that what we always did when we were young and then we walked out of the kingdom, wondering what fate had in store for us. Little did any of us know is that we'd meet someone who would change our destinies forever.
