AU Details
Hi! I'm calling this a space au because I don't really know what else to call it. There probably is a better way of phrasing it, but I can't think of it.
I will be writing a story based on this soon, but I thought I'd just make a lil plot/character... thing since I've seen them a lot! Also, I know some details about NASA/jobs at NASA will seem weird, but it's fiction and I've done as much research as I can, and I plan to do more in the future. This is also on tumblr, but I wanted to post it here as well so people know it will be written on here as well!
Details are a little bit iffy at this point since I haven't even written the first draft yet, but these are the basics. Hope you enjoy!
Warnings: Strong language, racism implied, implied bad mental health, homophobia mention, and I drag the hell out of humans

Logan Sanders:
• His brown hair so dark it almost black and hazel eyes are the first things his parents fell in love with when he was born, since he was born with a head full of hair (so much the nurses nicknamed him 'Fluffy')
• He's twenty-eight and acts like it, unless he's arguing with Roman, having to admit he's wrong about something, or doesn't get his own way
• He has always been fascinated by astronomy and because of this, he took up a huge interest in science and engineering
• Eventually, he managed to reach all of the requirements to apply for a position at NASA
• Once he was hired, he moved into a better apartment, partially to escape a few bad memories linked to his old apartment
• Four years ago, he was offered the opportunity to live on a (reasonably) newly discovered planet to explore and learn more about it- of course, he took up the offer
• His parents weren't too keen on him living on a completely different planet, as many people would have expected, so it took a while for them to warm up to the idea since Logan was so excited about it
• Although it took a lot of getting used to, Logan very much enjoys living in the NASA base they somehow managed to situate on the planet itself
• Seriously, it's like a big metal house, how did they even-
• He's allowed to visit home once a year at first, but after three years, technology has become so advanced that he can visit Earth up to three times a year
• Sometimes he doesn't really want to go home
• Living alone on another planet, in his opinion, has changed him for the better
• Sure, he's more introverted, but at least he's getting more work done
Roman King
• Roman thanks God every day that he was blessed with such good looks– tanned (ish) skin, glowing honey eyes and brown/mahogany hair – his parents always laughed and rolled their eyes at his description
•He's twenty-eight, but acts both as if a teenager and as if he's much older than he is depending on who he's arguing with
• Although he adores acting and musical performance, he soon developed a certain passion for protecting others and for learning different types of self-defence methods
• As well as this, something about science and astronomy has always soothed him, knowing that there's so much more to the universe always made him happy
• At first, he merely studied biology since his mother already had plenty of biology textbooks she had forgotten to throw out, but after a while, he decided to take it more seriously
• When he eventually got a job working for NASA as one of their security workers, he was able to build up a brilliant enough reputation that he was sent up to the planet Logan had been living on for four years as extra protection and security
• His parents weren't too upset to learn about this surprisingly (or perhaps unsurprisingly) and threw him a small party the night before he got the news
• When he saw the rather large base he would be living in, the first thing he thought was, "how the hell did they build this ginormous-"
• The second thing he noticed was the noticeably smaller metal base situated not too far away from them
• Why would someone want to live so far away from people?
• He then heard that it was the rather infamous scientist Logan Sanders who lived there
• Much like Logan, he's allowed to visit home three times a year and he takes every opportunity he can to do so since he loves his family and kind of wants to gloat to the assholes who made fun of him
• He truly does love living on another planet, but for a reason he could never quite explain logically, the beings that lived on the planet with them always made him nervous
• Because of this, he keeps as far away from them as possible
Patton Montgomery:
• Everyone seems to adore Patton's diamond blue eyes and soft brown hair as soon as they meet him, but he doesn't really pay the details any mind
• He's twenty-nine, but has the humour and sense of adventure of a childHis family couldn't quite come to appreciate his sweet and adorable personality as much as other people, calling him various slurs directed at homosexuals throughout his life
• So when he moved out, he was relieved to find that there were other people that actually liked his personality
• Sometimes he's way too trusting, but kind people that don't take advantage of him, find it refreshing
• Much like Roman, he's always been passionate about helping people, though he's always been too afraid to head into any dangerous situation to do so
• Because of this and his interest in science and engineering, because learning about how everything works is incredible, he was hired as a psychologist by NASA when they receive complaints from a few of the scientists saying that they are worried for Logan's mental health, but isn't requested to head up into space (as many of them aren't)
• Usually, they wouldn't do something like that, but Logan is one of their best and bravest employees, and they want to keep him safe
• So they get the idea to give those living in the base a number that they can call if they ever feel as if they need to talk to Patton, but other than that, he is specially assigned to Logan
• He usually is the one to contact the astronauts/security by computer, though he isn't the most skilled at using them, so others usually have to help him wiih dealing with bigger problems
• However, he's slowly getting the hang of it and NASA does not regret hiring him for even a second
•He also brings cookies employees swear are made by the hands of God into work a lot, which is probably another reason why they couldn't bear to fire him
Virgil:
• Being evolved from humans, his anatomy is more or less the same other than having much tougher, paler skin, a different retinal structure (meaning his pupils look much different), oh, and wings too
• See
• Not that different at all
• His name is Virgil because it was humans that brought his species the idea of second names and he's Rebellious™
• God knows how old he is in years of his species, but Logan figures out that he would be around twenty-eight or twenty-nine in human years and Virgil informs him that in his species, he's considered an 'adult'
• Virgil was born and raised on the planet NASA calls #20857219125, but he calls it 'Earth But Better' because he's heard that Earth is such a damn mess
•He definitely does not trust the humans that have come to live on his planet because they are Problematic™ and he doesn't have time for their shit, not that he can communicate with them properly without one of their dumb little translation devices
• He just really doesn't like humans ok
• Also, he had a nasty run-in with a security member once, which left him rushing back to his family and hiding in his home for a full week without food
• Almost everyone else is seemingly okay with the fragile morons making a home of their planet, other than the few who are a little nervous around them and that one group who is aggressively against them being there
• His family are more or less thrilled to have humans shoving their technology onto them, finding their desperation to somehow pass on their knowledge of the universe onto them endearing
• Plot Twist: He does not
• In an act of rebellion, he refuses to interact with any of the humans, nor will he agree to use their stupid technology or other products they've forced onto their species
• His parents call him an 'angsty emo', not that he knows what that even means, probably just a lame expression used by the humans
• He won't lie and say that he's never been curious, of course he has, it's another fucking species, but he's just never been able to find anything beautiful, wonderful, or practical that hasn't been forced upon him
• Maybe he will one day
• Probably not
Remy:
• Virgil's companion turned friend, whose taller height, wings and red eyes Virgil kind of envies, and who kind of loves the human products and technology
• Especially 'coffee' because wow he feels so bouncy, bounce, bounce, bounce–
• This obviously annoys the hell out of Virgil, but that doesn't completely ruin their friendship because although he loves the technology and products, he also really fucking hates humans themselves
• They're just so damn selfish and... well, stupid
• Like, seriously
• Wow
• Other than 'coffee', Remy is also trying to get his hands on a phone, but so is nearly everyone else on the planet so...
• He sleeps a lot, even though his species only need to sleep for around five or six hours at most, and is very upset to hear that humans do too, so he's started trying to work on staying awake more often so he doesn't become as seemingly lazy as the humans, hence the coffee addiction
• Despite being known to sleep a lot, whenever he is awake, he causes quite a lot of havoc, usually dragging Virgil into whatever strange adventure he embarks on
• He gets lost a lot
• Virgil and he are only close because he once destroyed the side wall of Virgil's family's house
• They still can't quite get the story right on how he did it exactly
• And since then, he's sworn to bother Virgil until they die in one of his 'adventures'
Thomas Sanders:
• His adorable dark brown eyes and light brown hair are his ordinary look, but it extremely significant to those who care about him
• Most people in the base are too busy gushing over how sweet he is to notice his adorable physical appearance
• One of Logan's only friends (they meet because Thomas is like, 'woah we have the same last name, lets be brothers' and Logan is too tired to say no) before Roman comes along and wreaks havoc on his life
• He's the first one to contact NASA and send a complaint about how Logan seems to be becoming distant, and that he seems rather depressed
• Logan will never forgive him for having NASA plonk Patton into his life
• Though he is a very nervous guy, Thomas is always willing to interact with the other species, considering them human, but like, in the cheesy metaphorical sense, not that they're literally human
• ...
• He's really accepting of people, that's it
• Others are both appreciative of, and worried about, his tendency to put others' needs before his own as it could someday get him into trouble and nobody wants that
• To him, both species (humans and the other species) are important and he can always find something beautiful about the both of them
• Everyone just loves himAnd for good reason
Emile Picani:
• His pink hair kind of ruins the professionalism of his job at NASA, but he doesn't really care, to be honest
• He is hired when Patton collapses out of exhaustion from helping so many people, so he can take some of the work and prevent such a thing from happening again
• Of course, he's a bit quirky, constantly referencing TV shows created on Earth makes Virgil instantly dislike him because it feels like he's, once again, forcing the product onto him
• However, he doesn't even realise he's doing it and is very confused when Virgil refuses to speak to him
• His favourite person to talk to, while he's not on the job, is Patton because they can relate on so many levelsLike, they watch the same shows, have some of the same interests, have very similar opinions on moral issues, and both get very Confused™ about politics, though they do insist on trying to so as much research as they can when they vote
• Yeah, they don't talk about politics very much unless something huge has happened
• He was almost fired once because he kind of swore accidentally when talking to one of the astronauts about their transphobic and racist family, but decided on simply scolding him and threatening him with individual performance counselling
• Overall, NASA don't regret hiring him, but many employees tire of his constant quirkiness
• Patton doesn't though
Deceit:
• ; )))))))))))))))))))))

Hi! As I said at the beginning, these are all iffy details of the story, but hopefully they'll become more and more certain as time passes. I'll probably do a second part to this about the characters' relationships and backstories.
Give me some feedback, please!
Thanks for reading!
