Toothless' POV

I'm. So. Bored.

I've been sitting here playing with other dragons not of my kind and resting on the beach when I could or in Hiccup's hut for a month, and it sucks. Then I heard something it sounded like a sucking sound and then a pop filled the air and I looked up and saw a purple circle and a dragon came through it. I shot up to my feet and barreled after Hiccup, and rammed into him as he was walking with the Gobber to the forges talking about something. I started to pat his suit and then he got up and kept on saying 'what' and 'what's up bud' and I huffed and bit his metal leg and dragged him to the beach and there was another pop as the purple circle closed but he didn't seem to see it or hear it, and I looked around in the air but didn't see anything.

"I'm sorry bud but there's nothing there, so would you please let me--" I froze as something touched my back and I looked at where Hiccup was and I didn't see him, I went in circles and fell to the floor dizzy. Then I felt something grab me around the waist and I looked up to see Stealthwave's eyes, but I didn't see his body and his paw and claws felt different and bigger than they were.

Hey Toothless, how's Berk been? And what have you been doing while I was gone...having fun? he smiled again and I saw a glint of metal in his mouth, and I growled at him in annoyance.

You've been gone for almost a month now. You're lucky I like you or you would be on the ground begging for mercy by now I saw his eyes roll and I growled again don't believe me, set me down and I'll show you what I can do I said and he stopped, hovering in the air and he looked down at me.

Look I'm sorry that I didn't come back in a long while, but I'm here now and I can catch up on the new things around here and the new things that have been going on, and I have a few surprises for you when I land I saw him grin again as he finished and I saw the unmistakable glint of metal in his mouth, and I was about to ask him why but he disappeared as did the weight carrying me through the air and I had to spread my wings to keep from falling to the ground.

Then I saw a flash of purple in-front of me and I heard someone yell my name from below and I looked down to see Hiccup in the forest running as I glided so I swooped down and grabbed him before throwing him up into the air to land on my back, without a saddle. Then I shot after the purple flash that Stealthwave left behind as he flew ahead.

I looked everywhere as I searched half-listening to Hiccup as he talked about the step by step of how he was taken and then I saw another flash of purple bigger than what I saw before, and it was on the ground. I dived making Hiccup scream about how unsafe this was to be riding without a saddle and I landed in a small clearing in a green field surrounded by forest, and it was a big field.

"Never seen this area before" Hiccup said taking out his map as we landed and making a quick sketch before needing my spit to glue it to the rest of the map and putting it away as he stood.

Stealthwave's POV

I watched as Hiccup took out a slip of paper and then it unfolded into a huge map and I used my vision to look at it closer without moving.

How are you disguising us both? Artemis asked through our mind link and I decided to tell her about the gods they worshiped in this world, or the one's I knew about.

They worship different gods here, and they treat others like out casts like one called Loki, the Hermes of this dimension, and Thor, the less powerful Zeus of this world I said and she seemed lost I can still use the mist here, just in a different way and form and that's why I am able to keep you hidden, well us hidden I said and she 'oh'ed in her mind making me chuckle

I noticed that he was done and their heads snapped over to us and Hiccup took out his flaming sword which I still fond intriguing. I did the same thing as I did last time, I blew snow at it before spraying it with water to wash out of the oil so that it wouldn't lite properly and he put it away gaping like a fish from shock, and slight recognition. I pulled away the glamour and they both passed out from the sudden surprise, even though Toothless knew that I was already here. I grinned and told Artemis that it was safe to come down from my back.

But when they start to wake up I want you to go and hide in or behind a tree until I ask you to come out I said and she stood in-front of me with her hands on her hips.

"No. I am not a weakling and I am not going to hide from these mortals, understand" I huffed at her stubbornness

Fine I said and I lay down in the grass looking at the two as they slept, and I guessed that a little down time wouldn't be bad Artemis wake me up when they are starting to stir, okay.

"I will" she said and I closed my eyes and let darkness overtake my vision and when felt like a couple minutes later I was awoken by something poking my side and I looked over to see Artemis kicking my side.

That's not nice I said and she squeaked in shock and fell on her butt as I surprised her, and she glared at me and stood up.

"Don't do that" she said and I laughed and she growled making me look at her surprised and she flushed and looked down, and then I heard a sigh from my side and I looked over at the two to see Hiccup crawling over to a drooling Toothless and I smiled and lay down with Artemis at my side petting me subconsciously. I liked it so I didn't say anything to her and then Toothless finally woke up and when he saw me he shot up and got in-front of Hiccup protectively.

I grinned and it took a second but eventually Toothless got out of his shocked state and tried to tackle me in slight anger and delight. He head butted me before crawling on my back and jumping on me like a child, and I guess that he still was in a way due to his playfulness never fading from his personality, or dragonality as I should call it I guess.

You left again and didn't tell me when you were going to come back, and then you go and scare me and make me pass out from shock he said now jumping on me in anger and I stood up making him freeze from the elevation change and then he spread his wings to glided around me to Hiccup, and I grinned at Hiccup.

Now that I can talk to you it's going to be easier to help you understand other dragons, what they like, and what I want plus communication between our species and things that we want to do is going to be easier as well I said to Hiccup and I could feel Artemis' amusement in our link.

"Y-you can talk" he yelled and started to pace in a line in-front of me with Toothless looking at him in confusion, and mumbling things similar to what Annabeth would say, and I smiled at the memory of her and waited for his thinking shock to pass. After three minutes he started to go faster and I realized that he'd never stop, so I just whacked the front of his legs from underneath him with my tail making him fall face first into the grass and dirt with Toothless, Artemis, and me laughing at his predicament. Hiccup got up and glared at Toothless.

"Some friend you are" he growled and Toothless just kept laughing until he was rolling on the floor, and this lasted a couple minutes before we all settled and I followed where Hiccup walked off with a huff and sat down behind him.

You know it wouldn't hurt to have a little fun every now and then I said grinning as he looked back at me and he shook his head and continued to stare at the Ocean.

"The only fun I got was being alone in my room inventing new things and testing them, fixing them, testing them again, and bearing others laughing at me" he said and I understood, he's had a bad childhood, and I put a claw on his shoulder due to my paws being too big and his build being thinner than I thought.

Hey at least you weren't a thin, stuffed animal killing weakling that couldn't defend himself I said thinking of Octavian and he looked at me surprised.

"You really think so" he said looking back at me fully now, and I nodded as Artemis came up and she seemed to finally notice her, and he stood and put his hand out, and I put his hand down with a claw.

Trust me you don't want to do that, unless you want to be flipped and injured by the most man-hating person in the universe I said and he looked at her with surprise and a little fear

"Reminds me of when Astrid flipped Snotlout whenever he touched her" he mumbled, a small smirk coming to his face, but nodded in her direction in greeting "you must be Stealthwave's rider" I looked over to Artemis to see her looking at me in curiosity.

They raise and ride dragons here as long as the dragon chooses them to be their rider, and since I technically chose you that makes you my rider, Artemis I said and she 'oh'ed and nodded at Hiccup's question.

"Yes, I guess that I am" she said and he looked confused for a second before a rush of blond came by us and he let out a grunt as something rammed into him, and I saw that it was Astrid and she was on-top of him with her ax on his throat. Artemis laughed and patted my side

"I like this girl already" she said and the two got past their differences and Astrid came up to Artemis and put out her hand, which Artemis accepted and shook.

"I'm Astrid"

"I'm Artemis, and this is my ride, where's yours" Artemis looked around and Astrid pointed up as a blue dragon came falling from that sky

"She's mine" she said and the blue dragon landed, and went over to Toothless and rubbed against him "and as you can see, she likes someone as well"

"Who do you like then?" Artemis asked and I tapped her shoulder and pointed to Hiccup as he got up and brushed himself off really? she turned towards me looking at me in curiosity and wonder.

Yes that is her boyfriend, and I think that they are now engaged I said and she raised her head a little as her face turned to disgust yes I don't like that idea of marriage, but it's something that many have done or are doing here already.

"I hope to never get married" I heard Artemis whisper and Astrid looked at her incredulously, and then shrugged as she turned around and put an arm around Hiccup as he came over.

"We all find someone that we want to marry someday" she said and I swear that I saw Artemis' eyes shift to look at me for a second before quickly going back, and I shook my head, must've been imagining it I thought and they got on their dragons and Artemis got on my back and we flew across the forest back to the little village they called home.

What are those Stealth? Artemis asked and I pointed to different area of the island

That's the target area for dragons to practice their shooting skills, as in with their element of fire, sound, lightning, or water, those are the sleeping areas for the dragons, and the humans I pointed my snout in the direction of the caves and huts all of those things moving around are the different types of dragons they have living here as pets and family,they take care of them, but I still don't like the food they feed them.

What is it? she asked and I pointed to a large pillar with a bowl attached to the top that dragons were eating from

Fish I said in disgust I'm glad I could find deer every now and then, but otherwise I would eat their sheep, which don't seem to die quickly I pointed to the endless white on the far side of the village with my tail and Artemis gasped.

"That's all sheep?" she asked looking at the endless field of white

Yeah I said and though they are annoying to eat with their fur, they are still tasty and they provide lot's of wool and food for everyone here as well I landed in the middle of a half moon of huts near a fire and she got off, and went to look around.

Two weeks went by with no need for us to help the hunters, and when I spied on them, through Thalia's eyes mainly; I saw that their hunting was going well and every time they hunted I would notify Artemis and tell her what they killed when they killed something. Then the time came to go and it was dark with no attacks from neighboring vikings, and learning about their gods and their way of life was a fun and an interesting experience. We said our goodbye's and I flew up, and my body locked up as I heard Artemis cry out in pain as something was happening to her hunters, and then I heard Thalia cry out for help in my mind and I opened a portal immediately and flew in.
