<Jungkook POV> 

What is he doing? What is going on?

Jungkook could feel his blood rush as Taehyung was holding him tightly. Never had he touched the Beta before, apart from the fight, and he could now feel his warmth and being so close to him felt so different. He still had trouble processing why Taehyung cared so much despite them being sworn enemies... He did not understand his thought process when he said things could work between them or when he thanked him for opening up but even so he still felt comforted by it. Jungkook felt lighter after getting this off his chest... It felt right to tell him the truth. In normal circumstances, he would have flown home right away, but the urge to see Taehyung was too strong and now he understands why he needed him. Maybe it wasn't that bad after all... Maybe it was the right decision to show his true self. He never did that with anyone else and he felt vulnerable but not in a bad way, surprisingly. 

Hesitantly, Jungkook wraps his arms around Taehyung. How do I even do this? Affection isn't his strength so he just goes with the flow. He wants to do more. He wants to hold Taehyung like this forever, to make him his, to run his hand through his hair and touch his entire body. He never felt like that before... Maybe it was Tae's pink lips, or his perfect face, or his warm personality, whatever it was he was different than anyone else Jungkook had ever met. Instead of wanting to stay away from him like before, Koo wanted to stay with him, to keep him. He wanted to stay... but he had to go. 

His father was probably worried, waiting for him. He had to finish his plan first before even thinking about being with Taehyung. He also had to convince his father to spare him somehow... The plan was to destroy all clans, but Jungkook couldn't allow it. In the past, he wouldn't have cared about what happened to other vampires. None of them ever cared anyways, not about him or about the way elves were massacred, so why would he care? He had no reason to until Taehyung. Now, everything changed... He wasn't even sure about wanting revenge anymore, but he knew his father wouldn't allow him to back down. What now? I should leave before it's too late... I shouldn't even have come... A wave of panic and fear takes over Jungkook and he pushes Taehyung away gently to break the hug, not looking at him. 

"What's wrong?" the Beta asks with a hint of concern. Please stop being so caring, it's for your own good... 

"I- I should go..." Jungkook replied, hiding the sadness in his voice and avoiding eye contact. He was trying so hard to resist the urge to stay. The fear of his father's wrath was stopping him from enjoying this moment. It wasn't right. It shouldn't have happened. 

"...Stay."

Damn it... Jungkook looks down into Taehyung's eyes after he says this word. He had such a gentle look, there was something irresistible about it. If only you knew what you were doing to me, you have to stop. Barely able to talk, Jungkook manages to reply;

 "I can't, I shouldn't be here..." 

"I won't say anything to anyone I promise!" That's not the problem... 

"You don't understand." 

"I'm the only one who can understand. Stay... Please?" 

That was it. Jungkook couldn't take it. It took everything in him to resist but he couldn't deny the request a second time. Taehyung was so unbelievably good at making his blood rush through his veins, his heart was beating so fast, he felt dizzy looking at him while he was so close to him. What was this feeling? This urge to stay with him and ignore everything else? I give up... 

Taehyung smiles as Jungkook nods and agrees to stay. He lets the Beta hug him again out of happiness. That will take a while to get used to he thinks while blushing more. Instinctively, he raises his hand up to the Beta's hair, gently stroking his fingers through them, pulling him a bit closer. He closes his eyes to enjoy the embrace more deeply, a smile slowly forming on his face. This is nice... So nice... 

"Jungkook..." Taehyung whispers while slowly pulling away to look into his eyes. "It's okay to let go... It's okay to not be strong all the time... I'm here to catch you now, you don't have to fly alone anymore... I promise." 

Jungkook felt shivers at these words. 

"You don't have to make such promises, it could get you in trouble."

"I don't care, I want you to know I am not leaving you." 

Jungkook pauses to process the words that just came out of his mouth. You better not... I can't handle another loss.

"Thank you... I promise the same to you..." he replies with a shaky voice. The emotions he was feeling were so strong, overwhelming, but in the best way. His eyes were getting wet without him realizing until Taehyung reaches out to wipe out the tears at the corner of his eyes. His hand was so soft... 

"S-Sorry..." Jungkook apologizes, embarrassed about tearing up out of nowhere. 

"It's okay, Jungkook" Taehyung replies with his hand still on his cheek and a soft smile on his face. He seemed slightly amused about him crying. He even seemed relieved that his words reached Jungkook's heart. Jungkook was grateful too... For a long minute, he gets lost in his eyes, unable to look away, wanting to get closer and closer. Hesitant, glancing at Tae's lips, Jungkook leans in slowly. His body was moving on his own and he was not going to try to fight it this time. 

Taehyung notices and blushes, glancing at Jungkook's lips too and licking his own. Woah... There was something hypnotizing about this little act. Jungkook leans in faster and suddenly stops, still hesitating, but before he knows it Taehyung completed the last step. Before he could process it, the Beta pulled him by his shirt and pressed his lips against him, pulling the Alpha in a deep and gentle kiss. 

Jungkook melts into the kiss, letting the unreal feeling take over him. It felt so good and so right to kiss Taehyung, yet so wrong at the same time but... neither of them cared. Gently, he pulls the Beta closer wrapping his hands around his waist as he places his hand on the back of his head to deepen the kiss. Neither of them pull away until they are out of breath and stare at each other quietly.

"Wow..." whispers Jungkook resting his forehead against Taehyung. "I want more."
