Chapter two
A strong slap across my face caused me to fall on hard and cold floor. I didn't try to prevent it. My master would be more satisfied by seeing me defensless and weak even though that is nothing like me. He started shouting at me. I wasn't listening. Why bother? It is always about the same. How stupid and clumsy I am. How I always break and burn stuff. It isn't even true. He only needs a reason to vent his aggresion. It doesn't matter if he is the cause of it, if he made me trip or forced me to let the food burn. He grabbed my ginger hair and pulled my head up.
"Hey, are you even listening? I am talking to you! How dare you ignore me?!" I almost choked on the anger that rose in my throat. He saw my expression. It didn't please him.
"You have no right to look at me like that! I don't have time for you. I will have to punish you later." He let go of my hair and stood up. As he was about to leave, he looked back at me sitting on floor. I kept my head low and glared at him from under my bangs.
"Don't break anything while I am away. You should start preparing ball room too. If you don't make it till the ball....well, I don't think i have to continue." I looked down to conceal my anger and urge to kill him. He took it as a sign of resignance and left. 'I have to finish the contract soon. But with idiot like him it is almost impossible. I can't take it anymore. Next time he hits me I will probably kill him.' As I was thinking to myself I stood up and cleaned the floor that was stained with tea. 'I have no choice. I must somehow make my plan work.' An idea popped into my head . I grinned as a perfect solution started to rise in my head. This will finally set me free.

Ciel's p.o.v.
The carriage stopped in front of wealthy looking house. But it was still smaller than my mansion.
Sebastian opened carriage door and helped me get out.
"Sebastian, please remind me why I must attend this ball."
"My lord, it would be third ball you would have refused to go. And besides, Mr. Ardley is a good bussinesman, his sweets company is rated one of the best, right under Funtom Company."
"Yes, it is true I have to keep an eye on him."
Sebastian knocked on front door and almost immedietly a maid opened them. She was dressed in black uniform that revealed her shoulders with a skirt falling only to half of her thighs. Her reddish orange hair was let loose and falling on her back. At least the maid was wearing white gloves and black stockings that ended right under the edge of her skirt. Other than that, she was dressed inappropriatly for a maid.
"Welcome to the Ardley manor!" She smiled at us with a smile that didn't reach her deep green eyes.
"May I take your coats, gentlemen?"
I noticed that Sebastian was staring at her, visibly tense. After she showed us to a room full of people and left, I went to a corner, where it was more quiet. The room was bigger than I expected. There were musicians and people were already dancing and talking. What caught my eye was a table with sweets. With self-control I shifted my attention at Sebastian.
"Sebastian what is it? You seem tense."
"That maid, she is a demon." I rose my eyebrow in surprise.
"A demon? Do you think that sir Ardley has a contract with her?" I kept scanning the room if I could see him anywhere. We haven't encountered another demon until now. I haven't even thought something like this could happen.
"I believe so my lord."
"But what could he want? Sebastian, keep track of that maid. She could be dan-" I stopped when my eyes fell on something across the room. It was Elizabeth. Sebastian noticed my gaze and looked in that direction. Why does she have to be on every single ball I attend?
"Young master, I believe you should greet your fianceé." A smirk spread across his face. That damn butler. He knows exactly how to get under my skin. I shot him a glare and stormed off, calming myself untill I get there.
Sebastian's p.o.v.
My master made his way to lady Elizabeth, but I stayed in the corner and watched the whole room. My gaze finally fell upon redheaded girl, we saw before. She was definitely hard to miss. Her hair fell on her shoulders, it was somewhat like a fire, that came to life every time she moved. But this wasn't the only reason she was noticeable. Her aura was inhumanly dark. And she weared gloves, probably to hide her contract.
Sir Ardley walked in the room and drew everybody's attention to himself, by clapping his hands. He was chubby but not yet fat, dressed like a noble, had a dark brown hair with few silver streaks. The vibe he gave off was saying, that he is used to getting what he wants. He started his speach which, didn't really interest me. I was following the woman demon with my gaze.
She was now next to sir Ardely with a glass of wine. He took it and ended speach with drinking it. Her eyes were fixed on ground as Ardley leaned to her and said something to her ear. She started shaking only slightly, almost unnoticable from my distance, but visible enough for him to see. At first I thought it was fear but corrected myself, when she looked right at me. It was anger.
With a bad feeling I located my master and went to his side.
Something is about to go down.
