Chapter six
I was lying on ground in the basement with my hands tied behind my back. How often did this happen already? For the first time I felt a little bit of joy, becasue I knew it was gonna be the last time. But somehow, it was like he could know it too. For the first time, it was actually pretty painful to me. He got better in using his tools. But I gritted my teeth and endured it. When dinner time came around he was about to leave but said to me
"Stay right here untill I come back." I rose my head and my green eyes met with his hazel ones.
"Is that an order?" He looked at me weirdly.
"Of course it is." I let my head fall as he left the room and waited. A smile was slowly spreading across my face and by the time I heard my master call my name I was already laughing. I broke my bonds and rushed out of basement knowing I will not make it there in time.

I was hiding in the shadow by the window of the study. I made sure that no one saw me and forcibly opened the window that flung iside the room and scared the occupant that yelped and jumped out of his chair.
"Adele! Come!" I quickly drew my knives and threw them at him cursing myself for not doing so earlier. One of the knives pierced his throat and other two got stuck in chest. He fell on ground and his hands shot up to his throat to stop bleeding, but he was dying too quickly. That is when Adele bursted through the door. She seemed in surprisingly good mood even though her clothing was destroyed and I could still see some bruises that haven't yet healed. What did he do to her that enhanced healing demons had wasn't enough? She walked calmly to her dying master and looked him in the eye.
"The contract is complete. You have surpassed Ciel Phantomhive in death." She said in a strong voice that reflected her hatred towards the man. I stepped next to a door as I gave her few minutes to consume his soul. And by the sounds of it, she ripped it apart mercilessly. When she was done, she walked up to me and closed door. I noticed her bruises weren't visible anymore.
"It wasn't as bad as I expected. The sounds he made were quite enjoyable."
"Oh noo! I am late! Should have come here sooner. If only I would have known Bassy would be here." I didn't even want to look who was behind me. I knew the voice all too well.
Adele turned around and looked like she was on her toes.
"We had a contract reaper. He gave up his soul willingly."
"The contract wasn't fulfilled, was it? But my, nevermind that! What happend to your clothes darling? You look terrible! At least I know that Bassy can't fall for you while you look like that. A lady must look accordingly in a presence of a man." The reaper gave a little wink my way, which made me internally shudder. Adele was pretty confused by Grell. She expected fight, not clothes talk.
"Is that the reason you didn't want me to go to London Grell?" I was getting annoyed like every time he was around.
"Hmm, Bassy. You know me too well! Oh! It is SO romantic! Why haven't you shown this side of you earlier? It may as well be too late now." He fluttered his eyelashes and stroke a pose that could be called a flirting one.
"You two know each other?" She was looking at Grell like he was some kind of creep. Maybe becasue he was.
"I wish we wouldn't. But he follows me everywhere." I turned to him.
"Grell, I do not have time to deal with you today, I have to go." He looked at me incredulously.
"Haa? But I only got here! The date hasn't even started yet!"
"Date?"
"Ignore him. Let us be off." I took Adele's hand and pulled her towards the window. Along the way, I made sure Grell recieved a good punch in the face.
"Bassy! Don't leave me here my love!" He screamed after us as we jumped out of window and started running away. I let go of Adele's hand when we got to the forest. It was not necessary anymore.
"So was there ever something between you two? Becasue he seemed eager to shove his tongue in your throat." I shot her glance. Her face looked bit flustered. I felt urge to tease her a little bit.
"Why, are you envious?" Her face got even more red than before.
"Wh-what are you talking about? I simply asked you a question!"
"A question that involves my love life. Isn't that what jealous girls ask, so they know who to eliminate?" It was not hard at all to run past trees and tease her at the same time. Her face got even redder than her hair. I was kind of enjoying it. I didn't know a demon could blush like that. She suddenly looked so vulnerable.
"Know what? I don't even want to know. I don't care about your love life. Keep it to yourself." She refused to look at me and her brows were furrowed. I chuckled to myself and concentrated at what I had in front of me.
