Chapter four
Flashback
My hands were tied behind my back, so I couldn't shield myself from blows that my body received from my master. Of course, I could easily break the bounds, but he would just tie my hands again. And it didn't hurt that much. I was pretty used to it by now. This repeated itself almost every week. My punishment for things I didn't even do. He just liked seeing me suffer. But this week, it was different. He brought special torturing tools. Said he wanted to try something different. It is all pointless. I hate him for this. I hate him so much. If I could only kill him..

I woke up to the sound of footsteps. My hands were binded behind to some pillar behind me. I was on my knees. I looked up to where the light came from. I saw one unfamilliar face and one I knew too well.
"What happened Sebastian? Was I kidnapped again?"
"It appears so, my lord." He stepped closer to me but the girl that came in with him moved in his way. The demon butler glared at her.
"Let me pass." What was happening? We were at ball.. And the lights went out. That girl! She is the maid of this house! It was probably her who kidnapped me, since Sebastian said that she is a demon.
"Don't forget about my request. You can discuss it like this too. I have a feeling that the moment you untie him, you will try to escape. And I do not wish to hurt either you." Sebastian didn't move and kept his gaze at her. Two demons glaring at each other. It was almost hilarious. She was still blocking his way. Sabastian spoke without averting his eyes.
"Young master, sir Ardley's maid has a deal to offer." A deal? What happened while I was out?
"What kind of deal?" I was getting suspicious. She is acting on her master's orders, right?
"She wants us to free her from her contract, in exchange, she offered to work for you. And let you go without a fight." Free from contract? Like, kill Ardley? This must be some kind of trap. A look that Sebastian gave me only convinced me more in my theory. But if it's a trap, why can't he just fight his way trough her and free me? Could it be that she is stronger? I looked at the maid.
"What is your name?"
"I'm Adele Lilith"
"Adele, you do realize that this could cause us much trouble. Killing a noble without consequences is impossible." She finally looked at me over her shoulder. She was smirking.
What exactly is she planning?
"Oh but I don't think you will mind. After all, he is one of your kidnappers." I froze. Thoughts in my head were spinning like a hurricane. She shifted her gaze back at Sebastian because he moved closer to her.
"You are mentioning that NOW?" he seemed a bit pissed off.
"How? How do you know?" I spoke when I finally regained my composure. My voice was icy cold. I didn't know there were more people behind my kidnapping. She seemed a little uneasy.
"I did my research and dicovered that he was working with people that kidnapped you. He is obssesed with Phantomhive family. And then he tried to kill you again, as annonym by sending some guys from mafia. But to his shock, they were all killed. He later got an information about your contract and learned the fact, that your butler is a demon."
"You planned this, didn't you? But I admire your ability to gain information." She pressed her lips together and stiffened.
"I have my ways." There was only one thing I wasn't sure of.
"But what do you gain from all this?"
"I simply want to be freed from this awfull contract I was tricked in. I can't kill him myself. That would not only go against his orders, but against contract itself too." I was thinking for a moment.
"Do you have any proof about Ardley's actions?" Her shoulers relaxed.
"I do." Her gloved hand slipped inside one of her stockings, took out some document and handed it to Sebastian. He briefly scanned it and nodded at me. It wasn't fake. She may be useful afterall. And the thought of having an extra demon under my command was in some way pleasing.
"Very well then, we shall make a deal. Do you need any proof of our deal?"
"No, I only need your word." I was a bit surprised. For a demon, she is pretty naïve.
"Okay, but I require some ensurance."
"Then, we could make a contract that doesn't require a mark, but only blood oath."
"That thing exists?" I looked at Sebastian.
"I believe so, my lord."
"How come I never heard of it?"
"It wasn't necessary young master." Hmph. That butler. But I guess it really wasn't until now.
"Do you agree with the oath?"
"Yes. What do I need to do?"
"We need to say our promises as we shake our bleeding hands." Sebastian nodded but didn't look quite happy about it. I gave her a nod. She freed my hands and sliced my right palm. By taking off her right glove and slicing hers, the contract seal was revealed. After she sliced her hand, I took it and said my promise first.
"I swear I will ensure you are freed from your contract with sir Ardley."
"I swear I will obey your every order after my contract ends untill you will get your revenge." I felt little electricity run trough my body and she let go of my hand.
"You are free to go."
Sebastian picked me up and left with only short glance at her.
