Explosions, blood, fire, screams, pain...

Damn it... Why is...this...?

This was horrible, it having been the third time this same damn dream had popped into her head as she slept. Yeah, by now she knew it was a dream for sure, but she couldn't seem to wake up from it. That left her to just sit still and watch it play out before her. She had to sit still, and endure the pain it caused. Now she was a little more sure of what was going on around her, even though most of it was still distorted and confusing.

Everything was distorted... Confusing, blurry, the details weren't really there.

A high-pitched scream of agony pierced the hot, smoky air. The sound of flesh being torn and bone breaking echoed into the sound of explosions and the crackling of flames.

The world was getting darker, and the pain just kept washing over her as everything got swallowed up by a curtain of black...

Alumina kept her gaze locked on the tiles of the roof she was walking over. She sweatdropped a little, casting a very quick glance over the edge of the building toward the ground a fair ways below. She didn't really like heights, but she had to keep moving. She slowed down a little more and took a deep breath as she tried to focus on keeping her balance, on shaky legs.

What the hell was I thinking?!

It caused pain to shoot through her body as she moved, especially her stomach, and she could feel a little light-headedness coming on as she kept walking. Her head hurt, she felt weak, and exhausted too. But she was determined to keep going, even if she wasn't feeling up to it. She knew she shouldn't be out of bed, if there had been anyone in her room with her, they would have probably forced her to sit still.

She sweatdropped a little more when she thought about the angry words she would receive from anyone who found out she wasn't in her bed like she should be. Porlyusica was her worst fear; she hadn't gotten to know the woman very well, but she knew the old lady had quite the temper, and she wasn't someone you wanted to make angry.

Part of her need to get away from being stuck in that bed, was the slight fear of falling asleep again. She shuddered a little; she wasn't proud of it, but that same damn dream was unnerving her the more it occurred. She hated it, and just wished it would stop.

Why do I keep dreaming about that anyway?

She shook her head to clear it of the thought, and focused on where she was going. The sun was starting to set over Magnolia, it casting shadows across the ground, and tinting everything with a fiery orange glow. It was getting late, yesterday she had had her talk with Natsu, which, had turned into a light-hearted friendly chat after they had agreed to be friends. The thought of it made her smile a little, but it quickly disappeared as she focused on walking over the roof.

The other reason she was out of bed, was because she was looking for Natsu. She hadn't seen him around all day, though, she had been speaking with someone else for most of the day... She had a feeling he was up here, and she just wanted to make sure he was ok. He seemed to be in a better mood since yesterday, but she was still a little worried. She came to a sudden halt when she tripped a little, and she swayed a bit before balancing out again. The small stumble had caused her heart to race, and she let out a long breath, hoping to calm down. She let her eyes close as she stood perfectly still for a moment.

Ugh...

Her eyes snapped back open when a very large gust of wind suddenly swept over the city, and it was strong enough to knock her off balance. "No, no, no...!" She hissed, trying to keep herself from falling over the edge. She rocked forward on to the tips of her toes at the very edge of the roof, trying to stop from leaning forward anymore as the wind pushed against her back. She was pulled backward quickly by firm grip around her waist, and she stifled a hiss of pain when whoever had grabbed her, hit her stomach and caused pain to shoot through her at the contact.

She was turned around and was gently stopped by Natsu, one hand around her waist still, and the other holding on to her arm softly. "Careful." He murmured, pulling his hands away as he looked her over.

"Thanks." Alumina told him quietly.

"What the hell are you doing out of bed? Granny will be pissed if she finds out you're not where your supposed to be." Natsu told her.

"Yeah.. I know..." Alumina muttered. "But I was looking for you." Natsu blinked once at her words, tilting his head a little.

"What for?" He asked.

"I just haven't seen you all day." Alumina told him. "I thought something might be wrong." She murmured and he smiled a little.

"No, nothing's wrong." He assured her, grabbing on to her hand lightly as he gently pulled her farther away from the edge of the roof. "I was just thinking, that's all." Alumina followed him without protest as he lead her away, heading back the way she had come, before stopping off on a relatively flat part of the slanted roof, and sitting down, Alumina sitting down with him, letting out a sigh of relief. She really was tired, even walking seemed to take a lot out of her right now.

"Thinking about what?" Alumina asked after a moment.

"I was thinking about what Gramps is gonna do to me." Natsu answered quietly, sweatdropping a little at the thought. "He was pretty pissed off, the whole Guild is, and he still hasn't made up his mind about the punishment he's gonna give me..." Natsu trailed away, looking a bit worried at the thought of a punishment. Alumina looked away from him and instead gazed at the tiles of the roof in front of her. Should she tell him? It wasn't really her place too...

An evil grin spread across her face as she looked away from him, oh... But it was just so damn funny!

"Its not going to be as bad as you think, Natsu." Alumina told him, and his head snapped up to look her way. He sweatdropped upon seeing that evil smirk spread across her face, "Its going to be much worse."

Erza POV

Erza headed up the stairs, and over toward the closed door of the infirmary room Alumina was in. She knocked on the door softly before opening it up, "Alumina, the Master told me you were awake. I wanted to-"

Erza cut herself off as she stepped inside the room. The window was open, and Alumina was nowhere in sight. The red-head looked around carefully, before walking into the room a little more. She was a little confused, in Alumina's condition, she shouldn't have left her bed, yet she wasn't there... On the nightstand by the bed, the blonde's keys were still there.

"Alumina?" Erza asked, but no reply came so she set her gaze on the open window.

She wouldn't have... Would she?

Alumina POV

"What?" Natsu blinked and Alumina only smiled wider. "What do you mean?"

"Master has a very special punishment in store for you." She chuckled darkly. "It's worse than you could ever imagine." Natsu seemed to he growing increasingly worried and frustrated with her words, and he frowned a little unhappily.

"What punishment?" He pressed, but Alumina shook her head and laughed lightly.

"I can't tell you." She chuckled,

"Oh come on...!" Natsu pressed, "You gotta tell me!" He said, leaning in a little as he tried to give her his best puppy-dog stare. Alumina only laughed more, and winced a little when laughing caused pain to flare up in her stomach.

"I'm not allowed to tell you! You're just gonna have to wait and find out." She told him, but he didn't look like he was giving up yet.

"But you can't bring it up and not tell me!" He complained, "That's not fair!"

"You can be patient, can't you Natsu?" She asked playfully.

"Noooo!" He whined even louder. "Tell me already!"

"Nope." She told him, popping the 'p' a bit.

"Alumina!"

Erza POV

Erza walked briskly across the tiles of the roof, arms crossed over her chest, eyes closed, sure of where to place her feet with little trouble. Her armor clinked as she moved, and she headed toward the two figures a ways away on the roof as the sun set even more over the town.

"Alumina!"

Her eyes snapped open at the loud shout, and her eyes narrowed upon recognizing the voice. It was Natsu.

She sprung forward at once, what in the hell is Natsu yelling at Alumina for?! I swear... If he tries anything else he will have hell to pay!

She came down upon the two in seconds, Natsu was leaning in to Alumina, frowning while the blonde leaned back a little to keep some distance between the two. Erza was to focused on Natsu to notice the smirk Alumina was wearing, or hear the laughter coming from the blonde.

Alumina POV

"Alumina!" Natsu pouted, "Tell me!" He whined.

"No!" She chuckled. "I'm not allow-"

"Natsu!"

They both flinched at the voice that had growled out the name, and suddenly Natsu was pushed forward as an armored hand hit him on top of the head. Against their will, Natsu's lips crashed into Alumina's after he was knocked forward from the force of Erza's hit, the redhead coming out of nowhere.

Both Natsu's and Alumina's faces turned bright red at what happened, eyes growing wide, and blushing furiously. They stayed that way for a moment, before Natsu was yanked backward by the collar of his shirt, and they were separated. Alumina sat in shock, bringing her hand up to cover her mouth as she tried to process what happened.

"Explain yourself!" Erza ordered holding on to the front of his shirt as she brought his face closer to hers. Natsu was still red, but his eyes grew wide in fear upon seeing the glare Erza had set on him, and he started sweating like crazy. Erza seemed to have realized she was the cause of Alumina and Natsu unexpectedly kissing, but she didn't seem to care right now. She was more concerned on finding out why in the hell Natsu had been shouting at Alumina, and why he was even with her.

Alumina was still in shock, silent and frozen as she waited for the heavy blushing to go away, and her thoughts to come together. When she could finally think again, she let her hand fall away from her mouth, and she registered the fact that Natsu was desperately trying to explain what had happened to a pissed off looking Erza.

"What were you doing?!" Erza demanded.

"N-nothing!" He stammered.

"Then why were you yelling at her?!" Erza snapped.

"Y-yelling..? I w-wasn't yelling.!" Natsu tried to say with a steady voice, but he failed miserably and Erza's face darkened.

"Don't try to lie to me, Natsu." The redhead growled dangerously, and Alumina decided to intervene before Natsu got the shit beaten out of him.

"He wasn't causing any harm, Erza." Alumina assured her with a small smile, and Erza glanced over at her slowly. "He was only trying to get me to tell him what punishment Master has planned for him." Erza narrowed her eyes, then released Natsu, leaving him to fall on his ass, the Dragon Slayer letting out a sigh of relief. Erza looked at her calmly as she thought what Alumina said over, before sighing,

"Alright, I'll believe you." She murmured, before turning a very stern look on her. "But you should not be out of bed, Alumina." Erza growled and Alumina smiled nervously. "You're still hurt, and why the hell are you on the roof?!" Her voice rose a little higher. "In your condition you shouldn't be walking around, let alone running around on the roof of the Guild Hall. If you don't rest how are you supposed to get better? You really..." Erza started, and Alumina sighed as she blocked the red-head out, not really in the mood to listen to the lecture, which was sure to go on forever...

She cast a quick glance Natsu's way and he caught her eye, before looking away. His blush had not gone away, and Alumina couldn't help but notice, his blushing became a little heavier when he met her eye...
