Chapter 3

Too busy to take a break

❝Before I saw the shadow head out the darkness into the light, I had always remembered her beautiful voice that sung me a song when I was little, I had a bunch of nightmares after my dad ran off.. Of course I knew it was a dream after my dad pounced at me out of no where with his bare sharp teeth as if he was like one of those K-9 unit. My dad was savage but he wouldn't hurt his own daughter... Right?❞

That's when I scared myself out my dream, Waking up instantly I slipped out of bed hitting my paw at the end of the Corner Mattress Holder. My face then turned red as if I was about to explode like a tomato with anger, but before I did I took a deep breath and smiled sheeply as if nothing ever happened.

❝Ow-ch...❞ I said saying it slowly as it came out my mouth. Then and now, I hated having to stump my feet on something made of wood, metal or anything that's tough. Before I could do anything, I then heard a voice beside my wall.

❝Hey! keep it down I'm trying to sleep!!!❞ the other neighbors shouted.

That's when I decided to get up slowly from off the floor as I roll my eyes. 'Me? Loud? Last time I checked they had the music up 100% yesterday and I'm loud?' I said as I placed a finger on my chin looking around my room. As I quickly glanced over the clock, it was about 11:00.

'You know what that meant? It was My first Day to make a good impression about being a cop in Z.P.D! I mean... Pfft. Its not.. Bad.' I said as I headed for my luggage's. ❝Let's see if I got everything!❞ I said as I lifted up my luggage onto the bed as I zipped it open. ❝Hmm... Gum... Deodorant, Tazer and- ❞

I was then interrupted as I heard four loud knocks at the door. 'I wonder who that can be.' I said to myself as I opened the door about 7 inches.

It was Judy. ❝Hey New Roommate!!❞ She smiled at me as she stood up tall at my door.

❝Judy!❞ I said.

❝Ready тo мaĸe тнe world a вeттer place?! ❞ she asked me hopping up and down near my door as she smiled widely.

I then smiled sheeply. ❝Of course,❞ I said. She then froze looking me up and down slowly as if she saw a giraffe marry a hamster.

❝Looking like that?!❞ Judy questioned, she then tapped one of her finger on her chin as one of foot tapped the floor rapidly.

❝ Well- ❞ she then glanced over to my room as I held the door 9 inches from opening. ❝Look at this room! Tsk tsk tsk❞ I then looked back at were the door was, Judy wasn't there.

❝Oooh! You have a MP3 Player too?❞ she says as she went through my luggage. I then looked back behind me as I noticed Judy slipped past me into my room: 'how'd she?' I thought to myself as I closed the door slowly behind me as I walked to my bed seeing Judy holding up a cute outfit for me.

❝For me?❞ I said looking over at it.

❝Well, since your my new, not noisy kind of roommate! I went ahead and got it at Mousy's ( Zootopia name for Macy's) ❞ Judy said giving it to me.

❝ Thanks! I'm gonna go try it on. ❞ I smiled as I headed into my closet to change.

A few minutes later, I came out into my leopard print shirt, Jeans, Hoop earrings and Black sneakers. I could already tell from the outfit Judy was already gonna be a great roommate. I mean she can be... Clingy, noisy, a little too friendly- forget those things! I got an outfit!

Judy smiled widely. ❝Its soo pretty!❞

❝Thanks Judy! I love it!❞ I Giggled with joy.

❝Lets go do something Fun!❞ Judy hopped off my bed onto the floor quickly running out my room into the hallway.

❝Ok OK, Just let me grab my stuff!❞ I said as I reached for my phone and room key on my computer desk. As I left out my room I locked my door shut heading into the elevator with Judy as she clicked one of the buttons that opened the elevator. After 20 seconds went by the elevator had finally opened, we headed in. Judy ended up having to click one of the lobby buttons as we listened to the elevator music as we headed down.

Walking outside, all you can hear is the Honking Cars, chirping birds, and the crossing guards blowing their whistles as they walk across the streets.

'Its very busy out here, I wonder if I'm going to be able to find a job today' I thought as I walked with Judy on the sidewalk. I was just so sidetracked on this whole zootopia place-- be what you wanna be and stuff, I'm just not feeling it. I mean its just saying you want a Hamster as a detective: now that you think of it that's not really bad having a hamster be a detective.

They can hide, jump, run-- ok see? I'm already getting sidetracked. Right now I need to think on finding a job around here, my bills aren't gonna pay themselves.

❝Hey Ju-" that's when I was cutted off by a light brown weasel that jolted against us pushing and shoving as he carried a dark green Bag against his back.

❝HELP! SOMEONE! THAT WEASEL ROBBED OUR STORE!!❞ the store owner Cried out looking around for help. He then faced our direction and cried out louder. ❝DONT JUST STAND THERE!❞

That's when it was my time. I started running to catch up with the weasel as Judy lagged behind me trying to catch up. Running, I then hear cop sirens going on as they circled around the area.

❝Shoot, The cops!!!❞ the Weasel said stopping at a designed fence to a hamster town.

❝STOP! IN THE NAME OF THE LAW!❞ Chief Bogo Said as he came out his black escalade car pulling out his Z.P.D Badge in his midnight black wallet.

The weasel didn't listen. He then tightened his grip and went inside the fence hole entering the hamster town.

That's when I gotten an idea.

❝Judy! Boost me up!❞ I shouted. Judy then cuffed her hands boosting me up over the fence. Jumping across, that's when I saw the weasel from a inch away. I then dashed off faster then a cheetah chasing his prey. Finally, I caught up to him as we stopped by the Big Donut that was a size for the hamsters.

Judy was already by my side looking at the weasel with her beedy eyes as he was already cornered. She then took out her handcuffs from her police outfit and looked back at the weasel who was already cuffed.

❝Wait! I'm confused.❞ Judy told Miley.

Miley giggled as she held the weasel's hand behind his back.

❝I grabbed the handcuffs from you and placed him in a headlock as you took out your handcuffs!❞

❝But-❞ Judy was then caught off by chief bogo exiting the escalade.
❝I must know who caught the weasel!?❞ chief bogo announced looking around the place as everyone faced miley.

I silently raised up my hand looking a little shy. ❝I did sir.❞

He then glanced over at me as he walked towards me kind of looking serious. ❝You did great out there ms. _____ umm your na-❞

I then cleared my throat and spoke. ❝Miley fox❞

Judy hopped to my side looking at me then back at chief bogo. "Just met her not to long ago chief," she Said.. "She's very good at being fast, Smart and you know skilled! I think she would be a great cop!"

Chief bogo cleared out his throat as he held up a badge. "Would you like to be a cop ms. Fox?" He said.

"That's when everything in my mind went blank. Ideas flew out of my mind going somewhere else.. I can't believe he was talking to me! I mean.. I can be a cop. But I just don't know. Now I'm just.. Speechless"

"Yes sir. I'm up for the job!" I said with envy.

then grinned for two seconds. He went in his trench pocket and took out 50 papers that were filled with words front and back.

"Great." Chief bogo said handing me 8 papers.

"What's this chief?" I said looking at them. "Oh, that's the essay you have to rewrite in 300,000 sentences with punctuation, this has to be completed within three days."

"Say what now?" I said.

"You heard me! It's due in three days!" He told her.

"But 300,000 sentences is alot. I don't think I'll finish in time."

"Then I suggest you start typing." He said heading in the black escalade trying off.
