Math, the worse subject in my opinion, I hate, no, despise it. But I have to suck it up to graduate high school I guess

I laid my head into my hand, ignoring the teacher. I was sketching some random drawing into the notebook for this subject. "Valerie" I heard my name being called "Hmm?" I hummed looking up at the voice. It was the teachers "It looks like this was just review for you. Would you tell me what the answer is for 'Log2(8x) - log2(7) =4'?" The teacher asks

I felt half of the class eyes glaring at me "14" I simply said looking at the teacher at the eyes

"I- you're right?" He said surprised "Don't mess with me, the new kid. Okay?" I raised my eyebrows at him, he simply nodded his head and went to bother some other kid who didn't know the answer

"How did you know the answer from the top of your head without doing the work?" Cecily said surprised as well "Guess I'm just smart" I shrugged my shoulder "You're gonna have the nerds hooked on you" She laughed, I laughed along with her "I Doubt it"I shake my head still laughing

The bell rang again, "Omg it's finally lunch" Ceci sighed "Thank god, I'm starving" I cheered, I grabbed my bag from the floor and walked out the door with Cecily "Let's go" She said leading the way

"So he's a leg man" I heard the teacher said behind me, I turned around and saw her looking at Cal's sketch book "Cal! You got into UCLA?"

"Uh, yeah but I'm holding out for Rhode Island" Cal explained "Oh my god, Cal they're both amazing!" She tapped his shoulder "Good for you"

"Cecily" I whispered, The blonde girl turned to me and I gave her the condom, Cal dropped earlier "What the hell?" Cecily said looking at it "It's not mine" I rolled my eyes at her reaction, not that I blamed her "It's his. He dropped it earlier, at the point where the quarter was glued to the floor"

Ceci looked up at me and tilted her head "You want me to give it back to him?"

"Well why else would I give it to you?" I shake my head furrowing my eyebrows "I don't know" She said, she grabbed the condom and turned to Cal "You dropped this earlier" Ceci said throwing the wrapper at Cal table

"Cecily, what the hell?" Cal said grabbing it putting it back into his bag, I let out a chuckle "Don't worry, I'm the one who told her to give it to you" I explained placing my chin into my palm "Thanks" He said looking back at me. I smiled and looked down at my work "Whats your name?" I heard Cal ask, I looked up again and answered him

"Valerie, but call me Val"

"Calvin"

Yes I know that "Rhode island?" Cecily asked "it's so far away though"

Cal nodded "That's kind of the point"

"Well, I'm glad you applied"

"I mean if you want something that much, you just got to go for it. Right?"

"Speaking of.."

"Speaking of Cecily, I was wondering, uh, how come people call you homeschool, again?" This guy in front of Cal asked, I looked up from my paper and glared "Speaking of, why don't you shut the fuck up?" I asked innocently smiled at him, I looked up to the ceiling as the bell rang and glared at the guy again while standing up. I grabbed my bag and Cecily's, grabbing her hand.

I looked back and took my middle finger out

"Ridiculous" I muttered

We both sat down into some tables outside of school and worked on some work from our classes "Hey, are you going to homecoming?" Ceci asked looking up from her paper "I mean I'm new here and I don't have a date, so what's the point?" I stayed looking at my work

"We can go with each other" Cecily suggest, I looked up and raised an eyebrow at her "As friends or lovers" I said joking wiggling my eyebrows, she let out a laugh "I don't mind which one you pick" She said sarcastically "Oh my god then we should go as lovers" I sarcastically said back. We both laughed "It's settled then, we should go as lovers" I placed my hand in my chest

"Yes" Cecily nodded rolling her eyes, I turned my head and saw Cal talking to some girl "Hey, by any chance you know Cal is single?" I asked still looking at Cal, I felt Cecily turn as well "Oh yeah he is, but he's seriously crushing into Gabriela, Vic's girlfriend. Why?"

"Oh no reason" I sighed looking down at my work "Do you like him?" She asked out of nowhere "What no! No?" I shake my head

Cecily nod her head not believing me "Sure, sure. I'll choose to believe you, even though I know it ain't true"

"How can you read me already? We just meet a few hours ago"

"I don't know, I think it's just meant to be"

"I don't know, cecily, you kind of fruity to me" I laughed glaring at her "Nah, I'm all straight. But you on the other hand..?" I looked at her "How did you know?" I gasped "I could definitely sense it" She nod her head looking away "Damn, guess I'm that readable?"

I took my phone out and realized it's time to go "Oh school just ended" I informed "Really? That fast? This part of the day usually go slow" Cecily explained "Guess I'm part of a change to this school" I said dramatically making Ceci laugh "Ill see you tomorrow, Val"

"Bye Ceci" I waved bye at her and went the way to the parking lot in front of the school, as I made it to my car I noticed Cal taking his bike out of the parking rack

Until some jocks took his bike away from him, I got into my car and continued watching the scene, I rolled down my window to hear the conversation as good as I can

"Fucking Talley took our tests and ripped them up" One of the jock in our class said pushing Cal "Hey man, I didn't say shit" Cal explained getting pushed again "Oh that's actually super weird because he told us that he's gonna then us in and that we might not get to play next week" Hank, the only one I know by his name, said

"Because he saw you cheating"

Cal restored back at him, "Oh yeah, then why didn't he rip yours up?" The one behind him ask "Because i wasn't cheating"

"Alright enough" Cal said enough of the two pushing him around, one of the guys grabbed his bike and rode off "Hey man, give the bike back dude"

One of the guy hold him back, I'm guessing this is Vic by how Cecily described him "Hey relax man, We're just trying to talk to you" Vic said backing away, Cal looked back confused why he was talking softly and saw some teachers. He went to follow the three, Me being stupid and curious so I decided to follow the four

I got out of my car and softly closed the door shut trying not to get some attention. I followed them into the football field and they went behind some bleachers. As they did that I went up the bleacher as quiet as I can trying not to get their attention. I pulled out my phone and started recording in case any of these boys ain't gonna get in trouble
