(The episode begins looking at a dark forest. Sounds of wildlife are heard in the background as the camera focuses on a Spinarak (Pokemon) sitting next to a rock.)

Spinarak: Spinarak! (The beam of a flashlight suddenly shines onto the Spinarak as it gets nervous and scurries behind the rock to hide.) Rak! (The camera turns to see Alan Wake holding a flashlight as he walks through the forest. Alan monologues to himself in his head, which is represented by text in italics.)

Alan: The darkness became unavoidable as I felt my way through this new nightmare. This world was a reflection of my own, populated by strange creatures that were grotesque perversions of the familiar. I didn't like it. I needed to find Alice. (Alan continues walking as he comes across a clearing in the forest. As he turns towards it, his flashlight reveals a Paolumu (Monster Hunter) hiding in the darkness. The Paolumu rears its head and unfurls its wings as it screeches at Alan.) Ah! (The Paolumu starts running towards Alan as he attempts to escape. Alan dives onto the ground as the Paolumu takes flight and soars above him into the sky.)

Alan: Ah, hell. (Alan gets up and continues through the forest.) Whenever I came across something new, it seemed like a monster straight from the depths of Hell itself. I was living in a nightmare. I had to find a way to wake up. (A womanly voice is suddenly heard echoing through the forest.)

???: Alaaaaaaaan... (Alan recognizes the voice immediately.)

Alan: Alice?

Alice: Alaaaaaaaan... (Alan follows the voice until he comes upon a mansion in the woods. The front door of the mansion is open as Alice Wake (Alan Wake) stands in the open doorway. A shadowy aura surrounds her as Alan walks up to her.) There you are, Alan. I was wondering when you'd get here.

Alan: Alice? Is it really you?

Alice: It's really me, Alan. Let's go inside. You need your rest. (Alice leads Alan inside. Alan turns to close the door.)

Alan: I'm glad you're okay, Alice. I was worried sick about you. (As Alan turns back to Alice, she is nowhere to be found. Alan looks around for her.) Alice? (He walks forward a bit.) Alice?! (The darkness in the room grows and surrounds Alan as the camera cuts back to outside the mansion. We hear Alan's screams from inside.)

(We cut to a different part of the forest as we hear the sounds of footsteps and gunfire in the distance. The sounds get louder as a figure runs by. The camera shifts up to see the figure as it's revealed to be Sebastian Castellanos. We see him turn and fire at something behind him with a revolver as a Shadow Beast (The Legend of Zelda) drops from above and lands on Sebastian's shoulders.)

Sebastian: Sh*t! (Sebastian and the Shadow Beast fall to the ground. As the two get up, the Shadow Beast scratches at Sebastian's face.) Ah! (Sebastian shoots the Shadow Beast in the chest. A group of six Shadow Beasts suddenly run into the area and begin to circle Sebastian.)

Sebastian: What the hell are you?! (Two Shadow Beasts run toward Sebastian as he gets up. One jumps onto his torso and tries to scratch at Sebastian as the other Shadow Beast trips Sebastian. Sebastian falls to the ground. He then pushes the Shadow Beast on his torso off of him and pins him to the ground by holding his neck with one hand. He then shoots it with the other hand. While he's facing the Shadow Beast, the one that tripped Sebastian comes up behind him and smashes a rock into Sebastian's head.) Gah! (Sebastian falls to the ground as the Shadow Beasts begin to enclose him. As they surround Sebastian, a gunshot is heard as one of the Shadow Beasts falls limp. The camera pans to see the Hunter holding his blunderbuss, with James and Jersey Devil on either side of him.)

Hunter: Get back. Now. (The Shadow Creatures, with only four left, look at the Hunter curiously. Two of them approach the Hunter and begin to attempt to intimidate him. The Hunter then takes out his saw cleaver and cuts off both of their heads in a single swipe.) Leave us! (The remaining two Shadow Beasts run away.)

James: (Watching the Shadow Beasts leave.) Creepy... (The Hunter and Jersey Devil approach Sebastian. James notices and catches up with them. We cut to Sebastian as he slowly gets up, holding a hand to the back of his head.)

Hunter: Are you alright? (Sebastian quickly turns to the others and holds up his gun.)

Sebastian: Get away from me! (The three heroes stop in their tracks. James then holds up his hands and slowly approaches Sebastian.)

James: We're not going to hurt you. (Sebastian breathes heavily as he notices Jersey Devil. He points his gun at him as the Hunter puts a protective arm in front of Jersey Devil.)

Hunter: We are merely passing through. We have no desire to end your life. (Sebastian calms down and lowers his weapon. He stands up.)

Sebastian: There's something wrong with this forest. Illusions... mirages... I can't trust my own eyes.

James: What do you mean?

Sebastian: I keep seeing things. Hearing things. It's something I can't explain. (Sebastian holsters his weapon.) My name is Detective Sebastian Castellanos. I'm not from here.

James: James Sunderland. We're not from here either. That's why we're trying to find a way out.

Hunter: If you need assistance, we can act as a guide for you. (Jersey Devil nods and holds a hand out towards Sebastian. Sebastian hesitantly takes it.)

Sebastian: Yeah, thanks. (A womanly voice is suddenly heard echoing through the forest.)

???: Jaaaaaaaames... (James recognizes the voice immediately.)

James: Maria?

Sebastian: Who's Maria?

Maria: Jaaaaaaaaames... (James suddenly takes off towards the voice.)

Hunter: James, wait! (The others follow after James. We cut to the same mansion as before, now with Maria Sunderland (Silent Hill) waiting in the doorway for James. She has a shadowy aura around her.)

Maria: Come on in, James. (Maria walks into the mansion.)

James: Maria! (James runs into the mansion as the door closes by itself behind him. The Hunter, Jersey Devil, and Sebastian run up to the door of the mansion as Sebastian tries to open it, to no avail.)

Sebastian: It's locked! (He lets go of the knob. The Hunter then takes out his blunderbuss and shoots the doorknob. It falls off as the door slowly opens. To the Hunter.) Good thinking. (Sebastian throws the door open as our heroes run inside. There's no sign of James.)

Hunter: Where did he go? (Jersey Devil walks around, searching for James.)

Sebastian: He could be anywhere. Just stay focused. Don't let anything distract you. (The camera begins to shift down as it goes underground. We find ourselves in the basement of the mansion as we see Alan, slightly bloodied, sitting against the wall mumbling to himself. Crates and lumber line the walls of the basement.)

Alan: Alice... Alice... (Footsteps are heard as Alan hears. He gets up, hoping to see Alice.) Alice? (He approaches where the footsteps are coming from as James, now covered in shadow, enters the room. His voice comes out distorted.)

James: Maaaariririria! (Alan screams and shines his flashlight onto James. James covers his eyes and stumbles back.)

Alan: Leave! Leave! (James stumbles back into a pile of lumber. He grabs a short plank of wood with a nail in it. He then wildly runs at Alan and swings at him.)

James: Maaaaaaaa...riiiiiia! (Alan steps backwards to avoid the swings as he takes out a pistol. He shoots at James, unable to hit him as the two stumble around the basement. Alan then charges forward and slams into James, knocking him onto the ground.) Aren't... aren't you... Maria?

Alan: Maria? (Alan points his pistol at James as he suddenly holds his hand to his head.) Agh! My head! (He looks at James as the shadows quickly disappear and reappear around him, making him look normal.) Huh? (We hear the voice of Alice again.)

Alice: Alaaaaaaan... (Alan looks up to see Alice standing near the far wall of the basement. The image of Alice quickly changes to Maria.)

Maria: Save me, Alan! (The images of Alice and Maria quickly flicker between the two as the image settles on Lara Croft. She has a shadowy aura and yellow eyes as she looks at Alan. Alan snaps out of his trance as he fires at a crate behind Lara. This causes the crate to open.)

Lara: Huh? (Lara looks behind her.) Ah! (The crate spills metal parts onto Lara as she falls to the ground. The shadows dissipate around her. The shadows around James also disappear as Alan holds a hand out to him.)

Alan: Are you alright? (James takes Alan's hand and stands up.)

James: I think so... but... just a second ago you looked just like a monster. Something must be messing with my head. (Alan turns towards Lara.)

Alan: I think she might have some answers for us. (James and Alan walk towards Lara as she slowly gets up.)

Lara: Where am I? (Alan points his gun at Lara.) Sh*t.

Alan: How did you disguise yourself as my wife, and why did you lead us here?

Lara: I... I don't remember. Last thing I remember was being in the city and I... we... (A look of realization crosses Lara's face.) Master Mind! (She reaches into her pockets.)

James: The mastermind? (Lara takes out her shard of the Shadow Crystal.)

Alan: What is that?

Lara: A piece of a crystal that held someone named Master Mind. He... he must've taken over my mind... (She holds her head.) I don't remember coming here. I don't know why I'm here.

Alan: This woman seemed to be telling the truth, or at least what she believed to be the truth. A weaver of minds, able to bend people to his will. A crystal in her possession that once held him. An unknown presence bending our minds to see what we want. It didn't make sense. (We suddenly hear eerie laughter.) Huh? (The three heroes look around to find the source of the laughter as we see a cloud of white smoke appear in the middle of the room. A swarm of Boos (Super Mario) then erupt from the cloud and begin flying around the room as the characters scream. One Boo speaks to the others.)

Boo: The girl lost her dark aura. We better scram back to Magician! (All the Boos fly through the ceiling. Lara turns to the others.)

Lara: We need to get out of here. C'mon! (They run back to the way they came. We cut back to the Hunter, Jersey Devil, and Sebastian in the main area of the mansion. We see the Hunter walk towards a set of double-doors and open it, revealing a large room adorned with fancy furniture and a piano. He walks into the room.)

Hunter: Perhaps James went this way. (As he steps through the room, he inspects his surroundings. He approaches the piano.) Who does this house belong to? (The piano suddenly transforms into the Mad Piano (Super Mario) and begins gnashing its teeth at the Hunter.) Agh! (The Hunter fires at the Mad Piano to no avail. He then runs out of the room and slams the doors shut. As he turns back to where the others were, he sees nothing but darkness. Darkness is now surrounding him as he steps forwards, blunderbuss at the ready. A mysterious voice begins to speak to him.)

???: You should not have left your home... they needed you... (The darkness suddenly transforms into Yharnam. Fires rage in the buildings as sounds of terrifying beasts fill the air. The Hunter looks at the destruction.)

Hunter: Yharnam...

???: Plague... beasts... why aren't you there... (The Hunter drops to the floor as if being pushed as Yharnam disappears. We see Sebastian in the background as he steps through the dark. The voice talks to him.) Husband... father... what happened?

Sebastian: Who's saying that?! (Sebastian points his gun around him as we see Myra Castellanos (The Evil Within) and Lily Castellanos (The Evil Within) appear behind him. Sebastian turns to them before lowering his weapon.) Myra... Lily...? (They suddenly catch on fire as Sebastian falls back. The flames glow brighter as Sebastian is pushed down like the Hunter. We see Jersey Devil in the background as the camera focuses on him.)

???: You're a monster... a monster... just a monster. (Jersey Devil turns around wildly trying to find the source of the voice as a glow appears in front of him. The camera pans to see a vision of Jersey Devil on a stake being burned by an angry mob.) Monster... (Jersey Devil is pushed down by an invisible force. Suddenly, gunshots are heard. The darkness disappears around the Hunter, Sebastian, and Jersey Devil as dead Skulltulas (The Legend of Zelda) appear on top of them, having been shot. The camera pans to see Alan and Lara holding pistols. James is beside them.)

Lara: Disgusting. (The other three heroes brush the Skulltulas off of them and run over to Alan, Lara, and James. Jersey Devil hugs James.)

James: Oh... uh... nice to see you too.

Hunter: James, what happened?

James: Something is manipulating our minds. They got to these two also.

Lara: There was a swarm of ghosts in the basement. We need to leave before they come back.

???: But why would you want to leave? (Our heroes look up as we see the source of the voice, Magician, floating above them.) If your minds belong to me, you never have to worry about anything ever again.

Sebastian: What are you?

Magician: I am Magician. My new friends brought you here, as some of you have already seen.

James: The ghosts? (The Boos from before swarm back into the room as they form into Boolossus (Super Mario). Boolossus floats beside Magician.)

Boolossus: Hahahaha! Behold the true form of Boolossus. (We cut to our heroes looking up at Boolossus in terror.) What's the matter, scaredy-cats? You look a little shook up! (We cut back to Magician.)

Magician: Boolossus lost his master when we were brought to this world, but we were brought together in this forest. All who enter this forest will either wander lost forever or surrender their mind to me. (Magician clutches his fist as he says this.) And with Boolossus' magic, we can make you see anything we want.

Boolossus: Haha! Yeah! The girl certainly helped with tricking you chumps. (The camera pans to Lara.) We found her wandering the forest like a lost puppy! She was easy to manipulate. Hmmm, that dark aura around her disappeared though. Oh well!

Lara: So that's how I got here...

Magician: Now, either bend to my will, or die. (Magician gestures to Boolossus as he conjures his magic. The screen goes white. As the screen goes back to normal, the heroes appear to be in some sort of void as parts of the mansion fly around them.)

Sebastian: Where are we?!

Boolossus: You're in my world now!

Magician: Now perish! (He conjures a ball of fire and throws it at our heroes. The Hunter, Jersey Devil, Sebastian, and Lara jump out of the way, but James and Alan are thrown back. James falls into the void and begins to fly around.)

James: Wooooaaaah! (Jersey Devil sees this and flies after James. He catches James as they fly around the void.) Thanks. (Boolossus suddenly manifests behind them and begins to chase them.)

Boolossus: Let's play tag, devil boy. I'm it! (Boolossus chases them as he laughs. We cut to Sebastian and the Hunter shooting at Magician. He swiftly moves behind them.)

Magician: It's of no use. (He grabs Sebastian and throws him onto the ground. The Hunter slashes Magician with his saw cleaver before the Magician throws a fireball into his chest. The Hunter flies back and hits a chair flying through the air, shattering it.)

Hunter: This shouldn't be possible... (Lara then runs up to Magician and hits him with an ice pick.)

Magician: Why even try?

Lara: It's gonna be a real pleasure to shut you up. (Magician slams his fist into Lara as she flies off of the platform. A door begins to fly past her as she sticks her ice pick into it. Lara is now flying on the door.) This is insane! (We cut back to Magician as bullets suddenly fly into him, blood spurting from his glowing veins. The camera pans to see Alan Wake continuing to shoot as Jersey Devil and James fly over him being chased by Boolossus. Boolossus charges at Jersey Devil and James, knocking them to the ground. James lands further away than Jersey Devil.)

James: Leave us both the hell alone!

Boolossus: Someone's gotten pretty brave. (Boolossus slowly floats towards James as Jersey Devil does a spin attack on Boolossus from behind. Boolossus turns to face Jersey Devil.) Why you... (As Boolossus intimidates Jersey Devil, James uses his plank of wood with a nail in it to pierce Boolossus which pops him. He disappears.)

James: (Examining his plank of wood.) Well, that worked better than I thought. (We cut back to Magician.)

Magician: I shall destroy everything! (Magician conjures two fireballs and shoots one at the Hunter and one at Sebastian. We see Sebastian fly back as Alan approaches Magician with his gun drawn. Sebastian then takes out his own gun and shoots at Magician from the ground.) You... haven't... seen... anything... yet! (Magician begins to create more fireballs as Lara suddenly drops from above onto Magician's back. She plunges her ice pick into his head.)

Lara: Gotcha!

Magician: Gaaaaaaah! (The screen suddenly glows white, shrouding everything. We cut back to the mansion, now back to normal. Magician lies dead in the middle of the main room as Lara takes the ice pick out of his head.)

Lara: That should be the end of him. (Sebastian approaches Magician holding a lit match.)

Sebastian: Just to be safe. (He drops the match onto Magician as he is lit on fire. Our heroes watch the flames burn. We cut to our heroes walking through the forest as the sun begins to rise.)

Hunter: The forest is safe now. We should have a safe journey to find... (He turns to Lara.) Master Mind, correct?

Lara: Master Mind. He wants to destroy this world and everything in it. I tried to stop him.

Sebastian: Looks like he's not the only one we have to worry about either.

Alan: Is there anything we can do? (Lara takes out the shard of the Shadow Crystal.)

Lara: I'm not sure, but maybe this has some answers.

James: We need to get out of this forest first. (Jersey Devil nods. The camera pans up as we see smoke billowing up in the background.)

Alan: An entire universe in danger. It was unlike anything I've ever experienced. But I was not alone now. A group of people willing to go up against impossible odds to save a home that wasn't their own. Almost like the cartoons I watched growing up. It didn't feel real. But it has to be done. To save this world. To save my own. To save Alice.
