(The episode begins at night in a valley. A Pineco (Pokemon) is seen hanging on the side of a tree and sleeping as a group of Keese (The Legend of Zelda) fly from a grouping of trees. We see a figure walk by the tree.)

Pineco: (Waking up.) Pineco... (The figure continues walking as the camera turns to face him, revealing him to be Corvo Attano.)

Corvo: Another dark night away from familiarity. (Sounds of yelling are suddenly heard from far off.) Trouble. (Corvo pulls out his mask.) I should take a closer look. (We cut away to see a group of pirate assaulters (Far Cry) running through the valley.)

Pirate Assaulter #1: She's over here!

Pirate Assaulter #2: This way! (A few begin shooting as the camera pans. We see a shadowy figure quickly move away from the bullets.) She's getting away! (We cut to Corvo silently approaching the feud as he pulls out a pistol.)

Corvo: What is this? (The shadowy figure suddenly transforms into a swarm of bats and starts towards Corvo. The bats fly over his head as he stands up to get a better look.) Bats?

Pirate Assaulter #1: Who's that?! (Corvo turns around to see all eyes on him. He holds out his pistol as one of the pirates shoots him in the right side of his chest.)

Corvo: Augh! (Corvo clutches his side as he crouches over. We see a tranquilizer dart suddenly fly into his neck. He pulls it out and studies it as the world around him shakes.) No... (Corvo falls over. We cut back to the pirates.)

Pirate Assaulter #3: What do we do with him? (We see someone walk up to the now unconscious Corvo and bend down to study him. He turns around, revealing himself to be Vaas.)

Vaas: Leave him to me. (He smiles.)

(We cut to the next day to a bustling town. Pedestrians are seen walking around. We see Neko (Mana) at a fish stand trying to sell fish. One of the fish appears to be a Remoraid (Pokemon). We also see an outdoor restaurant which has seated Berri (Conker) and Toadsworth (Super Mario). We cut to another section of town which has a large statue of Benjamin Franklin. Many people are standing around looking at it. The camera pans towards the crowd to reveal Connor Kenway looking up at the statue.)

Connor: It is nice to see you again, Benjamin. This strange new world... it is similar, yet different to the nation General Washington wished to create. (We see a dollar being blown in the wind as it lands next to Connor's feet.) Your faces are seen everywhere. (We see a tour guide lead a group up to the statue.)

Tour Guide: And this is a statue of one of our founding fathers: Benjamin Franklin! (Connor turns towards them.) Who can tell me what Benjamin Franklin is known for? (A small boy raises his hand.)

Boy: Electricity!

Tour Guide: That's right! He flew a kite with a key attached to it and it was struck by lightning.

Connor: They know of all your achievements, and still, I saw you in the flesh not long ago. (Connor walks away from the statue. We cut to a manhole near the statue as a large hand reaches out of it. Panicked screams are suddenly heard as Connor turns around.) Huh? (The camera pans to see the Creature (Castlevania) and Flea Man (Castlevania) on its back. The Flea Man points at the crowd of people as the Creature runs towards them.)

Creature: Argh! (People begin fleeing as the Creature slams his arms onto the ground. He then swings them wildly into people standing near him.)

Connor: Stop! (Connor takes out his bow and begins firing arrows at the creature. A few stick into the Creature's back.)

Creature: Agh! (The Creature grabs a sign post about Ben Franklin and throws it at Connor.)

Connor: Gah! (Connor quickly dives out of the way as the sign post hits the ground. He fires another arrow into the Creature's arm.)

Creature: Owogh! (Flea Man points away from the statue as the Creature nods and begins running away. We see Connor get up.)

Connor: You turn and run like a coward! (Connor runs after him.) But I do not give up. (We cut to Connor tailing the Creature through the streets as they turn a corner. Everyone runs as the Creature tramples through. The Creature turns another corner into an isolated area with Connor close behind. As Connor turns, the Creature swings a punch into Connor's face and knocks him back.) Ah!

Flea Man: Hehehe! (The Creature grabs Connor and throws him into a building. He crumbles to the ground, barely conscious. The Creature begins approaching him and winds up a punch. As he throws the punch, a flash of purple flies across the screen as we see a hand grab the Creature's fist, stopping it.)

???: It's not very nice to pick on someone smaller than you. For shame. (The camera zooms out to reveal Bayonetta's hand grabbing the Creature's.)

Creature: Guh?

Bayonetta: If you want to know how to talk to a lady, ask your mummy. (Bayonetta stomps her leg as she uses her Wicked Weaves to summon a large leg to crush the Creature. The Creature gets up and throws another punch as Bayonetta backflips out of the way.) Tcha. (Bayonetta begins shooting her pistols at the Creature as he begins to fall to the ground. Connor gets up and takes out a tomahawk.)

Connor: Yah! (Connor throws the tomahawk into the Creature's neck as he falls to the ground. Flea Man hops off of his back to try to get away, but another large leg comes down and squishes him.)

Bayonetta: That should take care of those dreadful creatures. (She looks back at Connor.) As for you, young man, you did a good job carrying your weight. I applaud it.

Connor: (Holding another tomahawk.) What are you?

Bayonetta: No need to be so scared. I did just save your life. (Connor stays silent.) I am an Umbra Witch if you must know.

Connor: (Referring to the Creature.) And that thing? Was it an Atenenyarhu?

Bayonetta: That, I'm not sure of. It's been up to me to take care of monsters and demons such as him. (She rolls her eyes.) It's been dreadful, but somebody has to do it.

Connor: So, you are on the side of humans.

Bayonetta: I am on the side against demons. (She walks closer to Connor.) Now, do you have a name I can call you?

Connor: My name is Ratonhnhaké:ton, but you may call me Connor.

Bayonetta: And you may call me Bayonetta. (She reaches out her hand as they shake.) Charmed.

(We cut away as we see Corvo, now without his mask, lying unconscious in a cage. His eyes slowly open as he gets up and looks around. We see more Pirate Assaulters walking around, some are looking through crates of firearms. A grand majority of them are armed.)

???: Sleeping Beauty has finally woken up. (Corvo turns to see Vaas crouched down outside of his cage. Vaas is holding Corvo's mask.) I must say, I've been very excited to get to know you.

Corvo: Why am I here?

Vaas: Has anyone ever told you the definition of insanity? Of doing the same f*cking thing over and over again and expecting sh*t to change? Well, my friend, I believe I finally have lost my sanity. (Vaas gets up and begins to pace.)

Corvo: What the hell are you talking about?

Vaas: That's exactly it! We are in Hell. All I can remember is my vision going dark as I woke up here. (He gestures around him.) Everything I knew was gone, and to make matters worse, demons began crawling their way out of the fires and making themselves known.

Corvo: So you believe that some kind of rapture has occurred and we've found ourselves in Hell? I find that hard to believe.

Vaas: (Waggling his finger.) Ah ah ah! You saw it for yourself last night. That d*mn witch that we've been chasing got away again! And who do we find at the scene of the crime? You.

Corvo: You think I'm a demon.

Vaas: Who's to say? If I've lost my mind and this is some sort of sick dream, than nothing even f*cking matters. And if nothing f*cking matters, (He points to a town seen across the valley.) Then destroying that town to look for the witch, killing everyone who gets in our way, (He shrugs.) Doesn't mean anything.

Corvo: You are sick. This isn't some demented nightmare. These are real people with real lives.

Vaas: And how can I trust you? As far as I know, I created you in my insanity. (He looks at Corvo's mask.) You know, they say that it is only with a mask that people show their true colors. You... hide everything until you get the opportunity to put this on, then it doesn't matter. That's f*cked up. (He leans down to Corvo.) I don't need a mask to show who I really am. (Vaas gets back up and throws Corvo's mask behind him.) Let's get going. (To two Pirate Assaulters.) You two, make sure he doesn't get out. (They nod.)

(We cut back to Connor and Bayonetta as they walk through town.)

Connor: You must tell me more of these demons. I cannot stand by as they put the people into danger.

Bayonetta: I appreciate the help, darling. (Screaming is suddenly heard further into town.) Sounds like more demons have found their way into town. (Our heroes run further into town as they see Pirate Assaulters firing at civilians in town. We cut to one jumping on a bench and firing as another in the background destroys a parked car window with his gun. We cut again to Vaas shooting with fires behind him. More Pirate Assaulters run past him.)

Vaas: Find the witch! Burn the witch!

Bayonetta: Sounds like they're looking for me.

Connor: Who are they?

Bayonetta: They've been hunting me down, but I've outsmarted them at every turn. (She readies her pistols.) Let's put an end to this. (To the assaulters.) Oh, booooys! (The Pirate Assaulters turn towards her.) Let's dance! (Bayonetta runs and jumps towards the carnage as butterfly wings briefly come out of her back. As she lands, she rolls onto her back and begins firing with the pistols on her shoes. We see multiple Pirate Assaulters fall to the ground as others try to quickly fire at Bayonetta. We cut to a Pirate Assaulter firing at Bayonetta as Connor jumps towards him and thrusts his hidden blade through the back of his neck. We cut to Vaas as he slowly smiles.)

Vaas: (To himself.) The witch is here. (Loudly.) The witch is here! (Vaas and the others continue their fire on Bayonetta as we see her activate Witch Time.)

Bayonetta: Bring it! (A purple aura surrounds Bayonetta as a clock hand slowly goes around her. She weaves her way around the bullets spraying past her as she twirls in the air. She uses her weaves again to create a giant fist which punches down a group of four Pirate Assaulters.) As easy as that. (We see two Pirate Assaulters behind her as two arrows shoot into their chests, knocking them over. Connor then leaps over to Bayonetta and throws a tomahawk at another assaulter running towards them.)

Connor: (To Bayonetta.) Are you alright?

Bayonetta: (Firing her pistols.) Never been better, darling. (We see Vaas take out a grenade.)

Vaas: Let's see how our witch b*tch likes this. (He throws it towards Connor and Bayonetta as it lands near them.)

Connor: What is that?

Bayonetta: Get down! (Bayonetta tackles Connor away as the grenade explodes, knocking them far away.)

(We cut back to Corvo as he remains in his cage. His two guards stand with machine guns next to his cage.)

Pirate Assaulter #1: (To Corvo.) Looks like you're not getting out of here anytime soon. Trapped like a rat. (Corvo looks up at that statement.)

Corvo: Rats, you say?

Pirate Assaulter #2: Yeah, a weak, little, stupid rat stuck in his cage.

Corvo: Couldn't have said it better myself. (Corvo raises his hand as a dark aura surrounds it. A portal suddenly appears between the assaulters as a swarm of rats (Dishonored) come out of it. They begin swarming on the assaulters and eating them. The two assaulters scream as this happens until their bodies fall to the ground, limp. The rats scurry off.) Brilliant. (Corvo reaches through the bars and grabs a set of keys that the assaulter to his right had. He unlocks his cage and steps out.) Now to stop this madman. (He turns to his mask.) But first...

(We cut back to the town as Bayonetta spins in circles while firing her pistols. We then see Connor stab a Pirate Assaulter through the chest as another grenade goes off nearby. The camera pans to Vaas as a Pirate Assaulter runs up next to him.)

Pirate Assaulter #3: What are you doing? You're going to hit our own men?! (Vaas shoots him.)

Vaas: None of it matters. (We hear the sound of scurrying.) Huh? (A large group of rats suddenly runs into town and starts attacking the nearest assaulters. We see a Pirate Assaulter raise his gun to Connor as Corvo, wearing his mask, suddenly drops down, stabbing his blade into the assaulter. Connor looks at Corvo with distrust.)

Corvo: Do not worry. I am here to stop these marauders. (Connor nods. Corvo begins firing his pistol as Connor uses his bow.)

Vaas: (Holding the sides of his head.) No no no no! This can't be happening! (Bayonetta suddenly appears behind him.)

Bayonetta: You're the one behind this, aren't you? Finally, we get to meet face to face.

Vaas: (Gesticulating with his pistol.) You! You're the witch! You did this to me! You broke my mind!

Bayonetta: Darling, I did no such thing.

Vaas: I'm not going to give you the satisfaction of killing me! I won't let you f*cking win! (He points his pistol to his head.) Now, watch the true definition of insanity! (He pulls the trigger, but he has run out of ammo.) No. (He keeps pulling the trigger.) Noooooooo! D*mn you!

Bayonetta: Don't go blaming me for your problems now. (Bayonetta winds up a punch and summons her weave to create a giant fist. This knocks Vaas into a wall as he falls to the ground, unconscious. Corvo and Connor walk over and observe Vaas.)

Corvo: Is he dead?

Bayonetta: No, I pity him really. I don't believe he's quite all there. I'm hoping a break may help him.

Connor: Others have fled. Some have died, others unconscious.

Bayonetta: Leave them for the bobbies. I have much more important issues than to babysit these boys.

Corvo: (To Bayonetta.) You are the witch I saw last night.

Bayonetta: I thought I remembered that mask from somewhere. I'm Bayonetta. Charming to meet you.

Corvo: I am Corvo Attano. I am not of this world.

Bayonetta: Neither am I, darling. But I believe these demons may house the key to our escape.

Corvo: Demons?

Connor: Would you care to join us? These demons are coming from somewhere. We have to stop them.

Corvo: (Nodding.) I shall aid you noble heroes. Now, lead me to these monsters.

Bayonetta: (Smirking.) Well, boys, let's get a move on, shall we? (Bayonetta jumps and grows butterfly wings again. She lands as the wings disappear and she runs off. Corvo and Connor follow. The camera cuts to Vaas, still unconscious, as police sirens are heard. Red and blue lights shine on the area as it zooms into Vaas' head.)

Vaas: (In his head.) Definition... of... insanity... (The screen goes black.)
