(The episode begins in the sky looking upon the Halberd. A fleet of Koopa Troop airships follow behind it. We cut to the main control area as Meta Knight mains the wheel. We cut to the door out of the control room as Axe Knight (Kirby) opens the door.)

Axe Knight: A visitor for you, Meta Knight.

Meta Knight: Bring them in.

Axe Knight: Yessir. (Axe Knight beckons to someone out of sight. Bowser Jr. then walks in and approaches Meta Knight.)

Bowser Jr.: (To Meta Knight.) You're the one my papa told me about.

Meta Knight: You are King Bowser's son, I presume?

Bowser Jr.: That's right. He's my papa. He's taking down some bullies right now.

Meta Knight: Yes, right.

(We cut to a distant shot of the Halberd. We see Sparkster flying with his jetpack looking down upon it.)

Sparkster: Wow, a whole fleet. Wonder what that's for. Maybe I should take a closer look. (Sparkster starts flying towards the Halberd.)

(We cut back to Meta Knight and Bowser Jr. as Axe Knight busts into the room.)

Axe Knight: Meta Knight, we have word of a strange creature flying towards the Halberd. Could spell trouble.

Meta Knight: Keep a close eye on it. If it gets too close, we attack.

Axe Knight: Yes, Meta Knight. (Axe Knight leaves.)

(We cut to Sparkster flying close to the Halberd.)

Sparkster: What kinda ship is this? (We cut to the cannon on the Halberd with Mace Knight (Kirby) standing by.)

Mace Knight: Fire! (A cannonball is shot out. It flies towards Sparkster who narrowly flies underneath it.)

Sparkster: Woah! (More cannonballs are shot out as Sparkster weaves through them and lands on the deck.) Something tells me I'm not welcome here.

???: You'd be correct. (The voice comes from Meta Knight who flies down to meet Sparkster. Trident Knight (Kirby) and Javelin Knight (Kirby) come up to his sides.) You are interfering with the army of Master Mind led by me, leader of the Meta Knights.

Sparkster: Well, I'm a member of the Rocket Knights, so I recommend you tell me exactly what's going on. (Sparkster takes out his sword and readies it.)

Meta Knight: You're ambitious, I'll give you that. (Meta Knight covers himself with his cape and disappears. He reappears behind Sparkster and flings him away with his sword. Sparkster rolls and pops back up into the air with his jetpack.) You're still no match for me. (Meta Knight's cape transforms into bat wings and he flies into the air. He glides towards Sparkster. Their blades clash in midair as they trade blows. Meta Knight slashes Sparkster across the chest which blows him back. Sparkster strikes back by blasting fire at Meta Knight which sends him to the ground with the other Meta Knights. He lands powerfully on his feet in a battle pose.)

Trident Knight: Meta Knight, we'll help you thrash this guy!

Meta Knight: (Putting up his hand.) No! It needs to be a fair fight. That is how the Meta Knights fight.

Trident Knight: Yes, Meta Knight. (Meta Knight flies towards Sparkster and spins into a tornado which takes Sparkster in and spits him out onto the Halberd deck. Meta Knight drops down and slashes at Sparkster, who parries with his own sword. Sparkster pushes Meta Knight back. Sparkster pushes himself forward with his jetpack and takes a swing at Meta Knight. Meta Knight dodges and Sparkster flies into the air.)

Sparkster: What's going on here? Who are you people? Why is there an arm- (Sparkster is then hit by a small cannonball and is launched far away. We cut to Meta Knight who turns around to see Bowser Jr. in his Koopa Clown Car.)

Bowser Jr.: That'll teach him.

Meta Knight: (To Bowser Jr.) What was that?

Bowser Jr.: I stopped the intruder.

Meta Knight: You intervened. A real warrior fights fairly.

Bowser Jr.: Playing fair is for chumps. My papa says to take every advantage you can.

Meta Knight: I see.

(We cut to Sparkster flying through the air. We zoom out to him falling into a forest. We see Toad's group watch this happen.)

Toad: What was that?

Shulk: (Activating Monado.) Could be trouble.

Quote: Let's take a look. (We cut to Sparkster passed out on the ground. His sword lays next to him. Suddenly, Shovel Knight walks into frame and leans down beside him.)

Shovel Knight: I found what has caused the ruckus. It's a mammal of some sort. (Spyro and Kratos come up next to Shovel Knight.)

Spyro: Is he okay?

Kratos: What does it matter? Leave it for the wolves.

Shovel Knight: There is still life in his lungs. (Sparkster coughs and begins waking up.)

Sparkster: What... happened... (He looks over at Spyro. This wakes him up as he takes out his sword.) Dragon! (Kratos takes out his axe as Shovel Knight prepares his shovel.)

Kratos: One swing and it's off with your head.

Shovel Knight: This dragon is our companion. Please, tell us why you were sent here.

Sparkster: (Lowering his sword.) Sorry, I'm just a little... on edge.

Spyro: Why?

Sparkster: An army is coming. I don't know where it's going, but there's a fleet of ships on the horizon. I fought their leader and was defeated. They call themselves the Meta Knights.

Kratos: More ships, but a different enemy.

Spyro: What are we gonna do?

Kratos: We will fight it.

Shovel Knight: How will we find it?

Sparkster: It's hard to miss.

Spyro: And how are we gonna get on the ship?

Kratos: You can fly.

Spyro: Yeah, but the rest of us can't.

Sparkster: Oh contraire. (Sparkster flies into the air.)

Kratos: (To Sparkster.) You. Set a course for the army of ships. This ends today.

Shulk: So you're working with Metal Face. (Toad's team meets up with Shovel Knight's.)

Spyro: Metal Face?

Kratos: Who are you?

Taizo: We're the guys who win against brutes like you. (Pikachu's cheeks create sparks.)

Pikachu: Pi...

Sparkster: You guys better back off right now. (Shulk holds up the Monado.) You gotta be kidding me. (Sparkster launches at Shulk as the two clash. The other members of the groups head towards each other. Spyro runs up to Toad and bucks him away with his horns.)

Spyro: Ha ha! (He is suddenly shot with electricity as the camera pans to Pikachu shooting it out. We then cut to Taizo chasing down Shovel Knight with his drill.)

Shovel Knight: Cease your contraption at once!

Taizo: Alright. (Taizo digs down into the ground and Shovel Knight stops. He looks around for a bit before Taizo erupts from the ground and hits Shovel Knight with his drill.) That oughta show you. (We cut to Quote shooting at Kratos. Kratos walks up to him and grabs him by the head. He throws him to the side.)

Kratos: You are weak, boy. (An arrow is shot into Kratos' back. He turns around to see Steve.) Very well, your death will be swift. (Kratos approaches Steve before Toad suddenly shouts.)

Toad: Bowser! (Everyone stops.)

Sparkster: Who?

Toad: Look! (Toad points as we see the Halberd in the distance. Koopa airships follow it.)

Sparkster: That's the ship! That's the army of this Master Mind guy.

Shulk: Wait, so you aren't working for Metal Face.

Spyro: No?

Shovel Knight: We are on a quest similar to your's. (A few airships fly out from the treeline nearby.)

Toad: We need to get on one of those.

Sparkster: Leave it to me. (Sparkster uses his jetpack to fly onto one of the nearby small ships. He uses his sword to take out the few Koopas on board. He flies the airship down to the others.) Let's go.

Toad: Yahoo!

(We cut to the skies as a Pelican, two Arwings, and the Aphelion flying through the air. We cut to the inside of the Pelican and see Master Chief, Olimar, and Isaac inside. We hear Cortana's voice.)

Cortana: Chief, we're picking up a multitude of ships nearby. It might be best to look into it.

Master Chief: Covenant ships?

Cortana: Surprisingly, no. It seems to be something else entirely.

Isaac: Everything alright, Chief?

Master Chief: An armada of ships. We need to check it out.

Olimar: We should tell the others. (Master Chief speaks presumably into a communicator in his helmet.)

Master Chief: Fox, Falco, Ratchet. (An image of Fox, mimicking the dialogue system of the Star Fox series, appears at the bottom of the screen.)

Fox: What is it, Chief?

Master Chief: Change of plans, there's an army of ships close by. We need to check it out.

Fox: Roger that. I'll follow your lead. (We see the ships continue to fly through the air.)

(We cut back to the control room of the Halberd. Meta Knight and Bowser Jr. are both inside. Axe Knight enters the room.)

Axe Knight: Meta Knight, one of the ships is flying towards the bridge.

Meta Knight: Do you know why?

Axe Knight: We have no idea.

Meta Knight: I'll go out and meet them personally.

Bowser Jr.: I wanna see this too. If it's for no good reason, I'll trash 'em just like papa does. (We cut to the airship landing on the bridge of the Halberd. Our heroes jump off and survey the area.)

Quote: This ship is huge!

Pikachu: Pika pi!

Kratos: (Brandishing his axe.) The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

Steve: So, these Meta Knights...

Shulk: Where are they?

Sparkster: Close by, I'm sure.

Bowser Jr.: What have we here? (Bowser Jr. descends in his Koopa Clown Car as Meta Knight flies down next to him.)

Meta Knight: You returned. Why would you ever return?

Sparkster: I'm not letting you get away with this.

Bowser Jr.: You think this sorry bunch can stop world domination? That's pathetic.

Kratos: This child has no idea what he's talking about.

Bowser Jr.: Child!?

Meta Knight: Leave now, or suffer the consequences.

Toad: You don't scare us!

Bowser Jr.: Oh, you. You're that Toad that's always off finding treasure. What're you gonna do without Mario to protect you?

Toad: We'll take you on without Mario!

Spyro: Yeah!

Meta Knight: Very well. (The rest of the Meta Knights flank Meta Knight and Bowser Jr.) Have at you! (Meta Knight flies forward and slashes at Sparkster, sending him back. Sparkster flies up and the two meet in the air. Sparkster shoots fire at him and Meta Knight slashes the ball of fire with his sword.) Victory is my destiny. (Suddenly, Quote's Blade flies through the air and slashes Meta Knight. It then flies back to Quote who is floating with his booster.)

Quote: We aren't going down!

Meta Knight: A two on one?

Sparkster: Problem with that?

Meta Knight: No, it's a fair fight now. (Quote and Sparkster fly at him, but he spins into a tornado and sends them to the ground. We cut to Axe Knight as he swings at Kratos. Kratos grunts and hits Axe Knight away with his axe. Axe Knight lands on his feet and throws his axe at Kratos. It sticks into Kratos' chest.)

Kratos: Augh! (He rips the bloody axe out. We cut to Trident Knight fending off Spyro with a trident. He slashes Spyro across the face. Spyro then rams into Trident Knight and knocks him over. Taizo runs over to him.)

Taizo: This old man can still brawl. (Taizo shoots his drill at Trident Knight. He deflects it and hits Taizo with his trident. We cut to Mace Knight and Spear Knight. Mace Knight slams his mace into Toad.)

Toad: Wagh! (Shovel Knight runs up to Spear Knight and the two clash weapons. Shovel Knight puts his spade underneath Spear Knight's feet and launches him over Mace Knight. Mace Knight slams his weapon into Shovel Knight's helmet. Shulk slashes Mace Knight away but is then hit back by Spear Knight's weapon.)

Bowser Jr.: Hahaha! (We cut to Bowser Jr. in his Koopa Clown Car. He shoots a cannonball out of it at Steve. He blocks it with two dirt blocks.) Huh? (Pikachu runs underneath the Koopa Clown Car and uses Thunder. It shocks Bowser Jr. and sends him spinning backwards.) Ow ow ow! You meanies! (Pikachu runs up to Steve.)

Steve: Nice work, little guy!

Pikachu: Pikachu!

Bowser Jr.: I'll show you! (He takes out a walkie talkie.) Fire on them! (Bullet Bills suddenly start raining down. We see them hit Shulk, Taizo, and Kratos as they're sent away. The Halberd rocks back and forth. We see one fly towards Toad, but Shovel Knight tackles him out of the way.)

Toad: Wah!

Shovel Knight: We need to take cover! (We cut to Quote and Pikachu as they shoot at the Bullet Bills with their gun and electricity respectively. A few of them explode, but some still hit the deck.)

Bowser Jr.: Hahaha! (Four shadows suddenly fly over Bowser Jr.) Huh? (The two Arwings start shooting at the Koopa airships as they explode, stopping the Bullet Bill barrage. The Pelican and the Aphelion land on the deck as our heroes emerge.)

Ratchet: Somebody order some heroes?

Spear Knight: More?

Mace Knight: We'll defeat you all! (Mace Knight charges at Isaac who uses his rocket boots to fly back and dodge a mace attack. He then flies at Mace Knight and picks him. He flies over the edge and shoots him in the face with his Plasma Cutter, killing him.)

Isaac: Easy enough. (Isaac throws Mace Knight overboard. We cut to Master Chief kicking Axe Knight. The camera then zooms out to see Ratchet firing his blaster. Trident Knight runs up behind Ratchet, but Clank jumps off Ratchet's back and delivers a punch to Trident Knight. THis causes Ratchet to turn around.)

Ratchet: Oh, thanks, Clank. (Ratchet hits Trident Knight away with his wrench.)

Trident Knight: Why you-! (Suddenly, a group of Pikmin pick Trident Knight up and begin carrying him away. The camera pans to see Olimar and Toad.)

Olimar: Carry him off, Pikmin.

Toad: Yeah! (Trident Knight is flung off the Halberd. We go back to Meta Knight as rapidly slashes at Sparkster as he is sent to the ground. Spyro flies up behind him and breathes fire. Meta Knight flies out of the way, but his cape catches on fire. He lands next to Spear Knight.)

Meta Knight: (To Spear Knight.) Use the cannons!

Spear Knight: Yessir! (Spear Knight runs over to the cannon and begins firing at the Arwings. The Arwings spin around and try to dodge the cannons. A message from Falco goes to Master Chief.)

Falco: Hey, do something about those cannonballs!

Master Chief: On it. (Master Chief runs towards the cannon. He looks around, but can't find Spear Knight.) Hm. (Spear Knight then drops down from above and stabs into Master Chief's armor. The spear starts digging in as Master Chief tries to pry him off, but can't.)

Spear Knight: It's the end of the line for you! (Suddenly, Kratos jumps in and grabs Spear Knight. He slams him against the wall and kills him with his axe.)

Master Chief: Thanks.

Kratos: Nothing but insects with weapons. (Master Chief pulls out a grenade and leaves it by the cannon. He and Kratos run from it as the cannon blows up. This gets the attention of Axe Knight.)

Axe Knight: No... (Steve runs up and throws a splash potion of poison at Axe Knight.) Ugh...

Steve: Give up?

Axe Knight: I... I can't...

Steve: Alright then. (Steve grabs Axe Knight using his fishing rod and flings him off the Halberd. Meta Knight looks around to see the Meta Knights gone.)

Meta Knight: The Meta Knights... (He looks over to see Bowser Jr. being hit across the face with Shovel Knight's shovel. He falls to the ground. Meta Knight flies over to protect him.) Leave now. We concede.

Bowser Jr.: No... we can't.

Sparkster: Tell us what this is for!

Meta Knight: The end of phase 1. An attack on this world unlike any other. These ships are heading straight there.

Ratchet: But why?

Meta Knight: He won't yet tell us. Now, our escape. (Meta Knight whips his cape around him and Bowser Jr. The two of them disappear. The two Arwings land next to the other ships. Fox and Falco get out.)

Fox: We didn't get all the ships, but we thought you could use some help.

Falco: What is this?

Master Chief: An attack on this world.

Kratos: Who is behind this?

Sparkster: Master Mind. Whoever he is.

Olimar: We've already had to deal with him.

Fox: He takes people away.

Taizo: He has to be stopped.

Toad: Yeah! (Toad jumps up and trips. The fragment of the Shadow Crystal falls out of his pack.)

Ratchet: What's that?

Toad: I found it underground. I'm not sure what it is.

Ratchet: I can have Clank take a look at it.

Clank: It would be my pleasure.

Toad: Okie dokie! (Toad hands the shard to Ratchet who gives it to Clank. The Halberd suddenly shakes as the gun at the front shoots out and creates a portal. We see a city through it.)

Spyro: What the...?

Master Chief: The attack is underway. (The camera zooms out to see the fleet moving towards the portal.)
