? POV

I don't remember when I woke up, or who I was. It was all a blur. I just remember being cold. I had an IV, and I ripped it out of my arm. I opened my eyes. Nothing happened, except the constant beeping of the heartbeat monitor. I ran down the hall to a bathroom, and looked into the grimy mirror. My hair was a bright shade of white, long and unscathed, despite me being only 21. I had an orange eye, and a dull blue-grey eye. I felt really weak.

"H-how could this happen?" I didn't know why I said it. I slid down the wall into a ball on the floor. I ripped the bandages off and then felt my back. All I felt were broken bones, circled with bloody feathers on my shoulder blades. Why did this happen? One memory flooded back- that I wasn't human, but all the rest was gone. "Who- am I?" I walked out of the bathroom, a blank look on my face. A girl with glasses tried to stop me as I walked out the door, but I couldn't even hear her. I was lost in thought.

Levi POV

"Tch- you, cadet, are a waste of my time." A stray cadet had wandered onto my bad side, and I had no time for a chat. I had to see if she had woken up. It had been a year since I went to see her. A pale girl walked around the corner, wearing a thin hospital gown- despite it snowing. Her right eye was bandaged, as well as her chest. Her hair was long and bright white, like clean snow. She seemed to be looking for someone- or something. She was familiar somehow.

"I-is that Carmen? Is she awake?" I gasped, and ran away from the cadet. I rushed after the girl. I grabbed her shoulder, and she turned around.

"I-im sorry, can I help you sir? Wait- I think I know you. What's your name?" I gasped.

"C-carmen?" I was in shock "It's me, Levi." Does she not remember me?

This is so cliche. -.-

? POV

"Do you know me?" I gasped "Can you tell me who I am? Who I was? You said you were Levi? I have nowhere to go, I-" he hugged me, and I couldn't shake the feeling that he was familiar. I recognized that look. He had a mix of happiness and sadness on his face. He was smiling, but his eyes were teared up.

"L-levi?" I asked "Can you tell me who I am? Please? I'm lost-"

"I know." He stopped, and began to wipe his eyes. "Your name is Carmen. You are a titan shifter- an abnormal one, to be exact. You fought another titan three years ago, and back then you couldn't control your titan. You lost control and- wait- your eye is open, why aren't your..." he looked at my blue eye.

"My what?" He looked at me like I was crazy. "You really don't remember-" I shivered. He took off his coat. "Here- follow me." He handed me the brown canvas jacket, and I thanked him. He led me to a small house surrounded by fields of wheat. "We're here- come in." I followed him into the house. It was warm, and I stopped shivering.

"Here, I have a room for you. It used to be yours, back then." He seemed very sad. He had a strangely angry look on his face. "You should get comfortable, but, as a warning, you never had a trial for what you did back then."

"What did I do?"

"You destroyed both the farming and research districts when you were a titan." I gasped. That was a big deal. The farming district supplied food to the entire area inside the walls.

"They tried to kill you instead, and that's why you ended up in a coma. They hung you." My hands shot to my throat instinctively.

"Is that why it's sore?" I asked Levi.

"I believe so, but that was three years ago. Anyways, get some rest. See you tomorrow."

Levi walked into the hall and then shut the door. The next day I went to 'work' with Levi, in the hopes something could restore my memory. A tall man walked by. He glared at me, and his large eyebrows bristled. That was a look of hate.
