P.O.V. Third

King and the four others that had been staying with him smiled as they began to walk down the halls together. "Yeah, sorry about this," King said in an apologetic voice as he looked at the four behind him.

"It's fine," Ember said with a smile as she looked at the male in front of her.

"You know, you don't have to come if you don't want to," King said as he turned back to look at the four behind him.

"No, it's fine, it'll be fun watching you," Ember said as she looked at the male in front of her. King smiled slightly hearing this and continued to walk down the halls together. When they arrived at the room the others watched as King began to change into his fencing gear.

As he did Xiantao looked at the four beside him and smile slightly thinking of an idea. "Do any of you want to try?" Xiantao asked as he looked at the four in front of him. When he said this the figures all seemed surprised by his offer.

"I do!" Ember said eagerly as she raised her hand, it was more than obvious that she was more than eager to try the new activity. Seeing it as nothing more than another opportunity to play with King.

"Well, if she's doing it then so am I!" Javon said as he looked at the female in front of him.

"Yeah!" Dillon said as he looked at the male in front of him. Xiantao smiled hearing this and turned to Vinnie who had been the only one to not answer.

"And you?" Xiantao asked as he looked at the female in front of him.

"If everyone else is doing it, then I might as do it too," Vinnie said as she looked at the older male in front of her. Xiantao nodded hearing this and looked at the several figures in front of him.

"In that case then everyone please take an épée," Xiantao said as he looked at the four in front of him.

"You mean, one of those swords?" Ember asked as she pointed to one of the swords on a small rack.

"Yes . . . but they're not called swords. They're called épées," Xiantao said as he looked at the female in front of him. However, it was more than obvious the Ember had disregarded what he had said as she picked up the épée and began to admire it. Xiantao sighed seeing this and turned to look at King.

"King, I want you to sit down for a bit," Xiantao said as he looked at the male in front of him. King was a bit surprised hearing this but nodded nonetheless as he began to make his way to the small bench on the side of the room.

"King's not going to fence with us?" Vinnie asked as she looked at the male in front of her.

"He may join later but not now. After all, it wouldn't be fair to pair you against him. You all are only just starting, while King's been doing this for years," Xiantao said as he looked at the several figures in front of him. They all seemed to nod hearing this and watched as the male gave them some instruction on what they should be doing.

As they did Eclipse began to walk to the male and smiled as she sat down beside him. "A bit boring isn't it?" Eclipse asked as she looked at the male next to her causing him to nod. "Want to see the observation room?" Eclipse asked as she looked at the male causing him to nod eagerly. The two then stood up and made their way over to a door. When they walked in King saw a room that he wasn't familiar with.

He had seen it a few times before however he had never been allowed to stay in it for very long. As King looked around he saw several monitors and graphs with information that he didn't understand. He saw several scientists with clipboards writing things down however they seemed to be much more relaxed than usual. Most likely because Xiantao was training Ember and the others and not him.

"This place is so cool," King noted as he walked over to one of the several chairs and looked at a keyboard in front of him. King began to sit on his hands to keep himself from pressing one of the several flashing buttons in front of him. Eclipse noticed this and chuckled as she began to walk towards him.

"Would you like to see some of the opponents you'll be moving onto?" Eclipse asked as she looked at the male in front of her. King nodded eagerly hearing this and Eclipse smiled as she pressed a few buttons and a hologram of an enemy appeared in front of them. It appeared to be a machine of some type that resembled a human.

"Once we think you're ready, this will be your first opponent. The Atlesian Knight-130," Eclipse said as she looked at the male in front of her.

"I'm supposed to defeat these with my sword?" King asked a bit intimidated as he reached forward to touch the hologram only for his hand to phase through it as it did.

"No, of course not, by the time you move onto opponents like these your weapon should hopefully be finished. These, of course, will be the easier opponents you'll face, once we think you're ready we'll move you onto tougher opponents such as the spider droid," Eclipse said as she rotated a small wheel revealing a new hologram that seemed to vaguely resemble a spider.

"Then once you've shown competence with dealing with these type of enemies we'll once again allow you to move to tougher enemies we'll allow you to move onto tougher enemies such as the Arma Gigas," Eclipse said as another hologram appeared in front of them.

"He kind of looks like the knights," King said as he touched the hologram and like before his hand phased through the image.

"The difference is that he's a lot bigger . . . and faster, and stronger, and more durable, basically he's just better in every aspect," Eclipse said as she looked at the male in front of her. King nodded hearing this and Eclipse once again turned the small wheel showing King a new image.

"What's that?" King asked confused as he looked at the image in front of him.

"That will be your final opponent. Its name is the Atlesian Paladin-290, we're hoping that by the end of your training you'll be able to defeat one with fairly little trouble," Eclipse said as she looked at the male in front of him.

"It looks cool," King said as he crossed his arms laying his head on the table as he did so look up at the figure with fascination. Eclipse nodded hearing this and chuckled slightly as she looked at the male.

"Indeed, and it'll be piloted by a training professional so the fight should be anything but easy," Eclipse said as she looked at the male in front of her. King nodded hearing this and continued to look up at the figure in front of him with fascination. "Oh, look at that," Eclipse said gaining King's attention. When she did King looked in the direction that she was and saw that the four that Xiantao had been training were now in front of him.

"Let's go, after all, it's only a matter of time before Xian notices you're missing," Eclipse said as she looked at the male. King nodded hearing this and moved to turn in the seat he was in. However, as he did his hand accidentally brushed over the small wheel that Eclipse had been using resulting in King setting it to the spider droid option.

The two then walked out of the room and King looked at Xiantao and four others that were in front of him before eventually sitting back into the same bench as before. "So when do we get to fight King?" Dillon asked as he looked at the male in front of him.

"Well at the moment that's not what we're doing. As I was saying I'll pair you up then the two winners will fight each other, and the two losers will fight each other," Xiantao said as he looked at the four in front of him.

"And the winner out of all four of us gets to fight King?" Dillon asked as he looked at the male in front of him. Xiantao sighed hearing this and covered his face.

"Sure, but first like I was saying, we'll pair up," Xiantao said as he looked at the four in front of him. "All right so first we'll do the two girls, Ember and Vinnie," Xiantao said as he looked at the two in front of him. When he said this the two stood in front of him and the two raised their weapons facing each other with Xiantao's hand between them.

"Begin," Xiantao said as he lowered his hand and moved to the side so that he could watch the two in front of him. When he did the two lunged forward at each other and both repelled the other's attacks. As Xiantao watched the two in front of him he had to admit he was a bit surprised by how much promise the two showed in fencing. While he had no idea what Vinnie's life outside of the palace was like he had to admit he was impressed with how quickly she seemed to pick up on the subject.

While at the same time he did know what Ember's life outside of the palace, he didn't imagine her to have such an aptitude for fighting. Especially since as far as he knew her parents tried to keep her away from things that weren't "Ladylike" as much as possible. He was surprised by how quickly she had managed to learn some of the more advanced tactics that he had shown them.

Xiantao watched as Ember thrust forward and Vinnie did the same. However, unlike Ember, Vinnie moved to the side so that Ember's strike would miss while hers connected. "The match is over," Xiantao said as he watched the two slowly separate. "The winner is Vinnie," Xiantao said as he looked at the two in front of him.

Ember shrugged hearing this and stood up. "Good job," Ember said as she happily skipped over to where King was sitting. "So this is what you do every day?" Ember asked as she looked at the male beside her earning her a nod. "Well this is really fun, I can see why you do it," Ember said as she looked at the male in front of her.

"Next will be the two boys, Dillon, and Javon," Xiantao said as he watched the two male's make their way in front of him taking a stance similar to the two girls had done. Xiantao then placed his hand between the two in front of him. "Ready?" Xiantao asked before he lowered his hand. "Begin," Xiantao said as he watched the two thrust forward towards each other similar to how tot he two female's had done.

King watched as the two clashed and continued to dodge the other attacks while they did. King then felt a hand on top of his and turned to see Ember looking at him. "So what did you think?" Ember asked as she looked at the male next to her causing his face to heat up. "Was I any good?" Ember asked seeing his obvious confusion.

"Y-yeah, you were great," King said as he looked at the female his face still extremely red. Ember smiled hearing this and began to lean against the male causing his face to heat up even more.

"Good, I was really trying to impress you. I was hoping I could win and then tell you about it. But I didn't so . . ." Ember began as she looked at the two males in front of her that were still fencing. Ember then felt King's hand shift under hers and turned to look at his hand. When she did she saw that King had moved his hand so that his palm was facing hers.

Ember felt her face heat up as he did and smiled as she began to intertwine her fingers with his. She would have stayed like that happily however King began to talk making the task a bit difficult. "I was hoping you would win too, but you tried your best, and you looked cool doing it, so it's okay," King said as he looked at the female next to him. When he did Ember felt her face heat up as she watched the two in front of her continue to fence.

"The match is over," Xiantao said as he looked at the two in front of him. Ember and King both looked up hearing this having missed who had one. "The winner is Dillon," Xiantao said he looked at the male before he began to gesture for Vinnie to come where he was standing. The female did as instructed and began to walk towards the male.

"Well, try not to feel too bad, Xian said you'll be fighting Javon in the next round right?" King asked as he looked at the female next to him. "If that's the case then maybe you'll win," King said trying to encourage the female next to him.

"Yeah, maybe," Ember said with a red face as she looked down at their hands. King felt his face heat up when he realized what she was doing and turned to look at the two in front of him. Xiantao like before placed his hand between the two in front of him.

"Ready?" Xiantao asked as he once again waited a few seconds before lowering his hand. "Begin," Xiantao said as he watched Vinnie and Dillon dash towards each other as they began to fight.

"King," Ember said as she looked at the male. When she did King turned to look at her. "I don't think, I'm going to win, but if I do can I have another kiss?" Ember asked as she looked at the male in front of her. When she did King felt his face heat up and nodded as he looked at the female causing her smile to widen as she looked at the two in front of her.

When she did King turned to look at the two in front of her. Vinnie thrust forward in an attempt to strike Dillon. However, she missed and Dillon retaliated with an attack of his own. Vinnie managed to deflect this attack and turned in place in an attempt to confuse the male before once again trying to strike him. However, this attempt was met with failure.

Dillon managed to stop the attack and like before thrust forward to attempt to strike Vinnie. As he did the female once again turned however unlike before Dillon moved back so that his he was once again ready to attack while Vinnie was still turning for her attack. King smiled as he continued to watch the two fence together.

He could see why they were the ones that had won their last matches, after all, it seemed like these two were a bit more serious about winning than Ember and Javon were. As King watch the two in front of him he smiled starting to get a bit excited. It wasn't often that he was allowed to watch two others fight since Xiantao thought it might be a bit too violent for him. So the fact that he got to watch two of them now was more than exciting for him.

King smiled as he watched the two continue until eventually, Dillon lost his footing as he stepped back and began to fall. Vinnie saw her opportunity in this and thrust forward to strike the male in the chest. When he did King smiled as he watched Xaintao walk between the two in front of him. "The match is over," Xaintao said as he looked at the two in front of him.

"The winner is Vinnie," Xaintao said as he gestured to the female next to him. Ember began clapping after hearing this and the others began to join her shortly after. Vinnie tried to keep her usual calm and collected composure however her face betrayed her as it began to turn a slight shade of red despite her rather stoic expression.

"Now, for the final match, Ember and Javon," Xaintao said as he looked at the two in front of him.

"Wait," Dillon said as he looked at the male in front of him. "I thought you said the winner got to fight King?" Dillon asked as he looked at the male in front of him. Xaintao sighed hearing this and looked down at the male.

"I never said that," Xaintao said as he looked at the male in front of him. "However, if you're really that insistent on the matter then I'll allow Vinnie to fight King next," Xaintao said as he looked down at the male in front of him. Dillon smiled hearing this and nodded as he looked at the male in front of him.

Dillon and Vinnie then both began to walk towards the small bench that the others had been sitting on and Xaintao watched as Javon stood up and began to walk towards him. Ember smiled hearing this and stood up, and began to follow behind the male. When she did she turned back to look at King and smiled.

"Wish me luck," Ember said with a smile as she looked at the male. King gave a bright and warm smile hearing this and nodded as he watched the female walk to Xiantao. When he did the two took a stance and King found himself becoming a bit nervous as he watched the two in front of him.

Like before Xiantao placed his hand between the two. "Ready," Xiantao said before lowering his hand as he looked at the two in front of him. "Begin," Xiantao said as he looked at the two in front of him. When he said this Javon thrust forward and Ember jumped back to avoid the attack. She was now far more cautious than she had been before since she was now fighting for something, and if she was being honest she'd rather not lose out on it.

King smiled as he watched the male thrust forward in an attempt to strike Ember, however like before Ember jumped back to avoid the attack and when she landed she once again thrust forward in an attempt to strike him. However, when she did Javon dashed to the side to avoid her attack and thrust forward to strike her. When he did Ember looked down and sighed a bit disappointed that she hadn't won.

"The match is over," Xiantao said as he looked at the two in front of him. "The winner is Javon," Xaintao said as he looked at the male in front of him. King smiled hearing this and watched as Ember began to walk towards him.

"It's okay," King said as he looked at her clearly trying to comfort her. Ember nodded hearing this and Xaintao smiled seeing this action.

"My prince," Xaintao said as he looked at the male in front of him. King looked up hearing this and Xaintao gestured to his side. "I believe you owe Vinnie a match," Xaintao said as he looked at the male in front of him. King nodded hearing this and stood up when he did Vinnie stood up as well and began to walk behind him. As they did King thought of something and smiled as he turned around and began to walk back over to Ember.

When he did Ember looked at him and smiled. "How about if I win, you give me a kiss?" King asked as he looked at the female in front of him. When he said this Ember's face turned a bright red and she nodded as he looked at the male in front of her. King smiled hearing this and turned around and began to walk towards the male in front of him. When he reached the two Xaintao placed his hand between them.

"Ready," Xaintao said as he looked at the two in front of him and King bowed in a respective manner. A bit confused Vinnie repeated his action, King and Vinnie then stood up and Xaintao lowered his hand. "Begin!" Xaintao said as he looked at the two in front of him. When he did Vinnie like before dashed forward preparing to strike him. When she did King lowered his épée to give the illusion that he was aiming for her feet. When he did Vinnie panicked and tripped over her footing when she tried to stop herself.

King then raised his épée as he looked at the female causing it to strike her chest a few moments later. When she did Vinnie looked at her chest and held it slightly surprised by what she had just done. The match was over this quickly? They had just started a few seconds ago, and he had already beat her? Well, he didn't exactly defeat her, she had more or less walked into her épée because she had fallen for a rather simple trick.

When he did King smiled and began to walk towards Ember. As he did Ember felt her face heat up and he looked at her. "So about that k-" King began however before he could finish what he was saying Ember quickly stood up and kissed his cheek causing King's face to heat up. King then reached up to touch the area she had kissed. It looked as if he was going to speak however before he could say anything a female walked into the room.

"Miss Ember, the bullhead has arrived. You and you're friends can leave now, I hope you enjoyed your stay," The female said as he looked at the female in front of him. Ember nodded hearing this and the two continued down the halls.

"Of course, I always enjoy staying here with King," Ember said with a smile as she looked up at the female in front of her.

"I'm glad to hear it," The female said as she looked down at Ember. When she did Ember smiled and turned back to look at King. When she did King smiled and waved the female as she walked out of the room. Ember smiled seeing this and waved at him as the door shut behind her. When she did King sighed and Xaintao walked up to him.

"King," Xaintao said as he looked at the male in front of him. When he did King looked at him and the male smiled. "Do your warm-ups while we're waiting," Xaintao said as he looked at the male in front of him. King nodded hearing this and began to do some light warmups as he waited for his instructor.

As he did Xaintao walked into the observation room and looked at the few scientists that were in the room who seemed to be a bit busier now that King was busy instead of standing. "So how was his performance?" Xaintao asked as he looked at the figures in front of him.

"He's doing fairly well, his aura shows that he was a bit relaxed during the session compared to when he's training with some of the others. Then again, that's not surprising since he knew he had an advantage over her," The male said as he looked at Xaintao causing him to nod. Xaintao knowing that he still had a few minutes left before the trainer arrived walked up to the scientists and began to look at some of the things they had written down.

As he did a few of the scientists gathered at the edge of the room and began to talk to each other chuckling as they did. As they did one of them accidentally touched a small button that was on the screen behind him. When he did the lights in the room suddenly changed and a few sirens could be heard in the room as well as a bit down the hall.

King looked around a bit confused hearing this having never been in this situation before. When he did he felt the floor beneath him shift and lost his balance for a moment. King then looked down and saw a large crack in the floor that was growing as the floor seemed to separate. He then heard the sound of several machines and mechanisms starting up. Unknown to the male a few figures in the other room had already begun panicking.

"What's happening?" Xaintao said as she looked at the male in front of him.

"It seems as if one of the training programs has begun," One of the scientists said as he continued to press several buttons in front of him.

"What?" Xaintao asked as he eyes widened looking at the male in front of him. "Then why aren't you stopping it?" Xaintao asked as he looked at the male in front of him.

"What do you think we're trying to do?" The male asked as he continued to press several buttons in a clear effort to try and avert the training process. Xaintao gritted his teeth hearing this and reached into his pocket to press the small button the Rain had given him. Xaintao was confident in his skills but he also knew what he was capable of and he knew for a fact he stood no chance against the newer model of spider droids.

"What's going on?" Eclipse asked as she opened the door to the observation room.

"Something's wrong, try and protect King," Xaintao said as he began to press several buttons trying to help the scientists with trying to stop the spider droid. As he did King looked at the massive machine in front of him clearly intimidated by its massive frame.

"Wow," King said clearly amazed by the sight in front of him. "That's so cool," King said with a smile as he looked at the machine in front of him. However, as soon as he said this the machine seemed to activate as the barrel of its massive cannon began to face towards him. "That's not as cool," King said to himself as he saw some light began to gather in front of him.

King panicked seeing this and began to try and run away from the machine in front of him. The machine followed him and was about to fire at him however a few wires wrapped around it and pulled the barrel away from King causing it to miss. When it did the spider droid shook its massive frame and Eclipse looked at it as it began to bend its legs before jumping into the air. When it did, the wires that had been restricting it snapped as King continued to try and run from it.

As it did Eclipse felt herself being lifted into the air slightly before the wires snapped letting her fall to the ground. When it did Eclipse saw that the spider droid was trying to land on King. Before it could, however, Eclipse sent her wires forward wrapping around King before she pulled on them pulling the male away from the giant machine.

When the male landed beside her Eclipse disconnected the wires and looked at the machine in front of her taking a rather defensive position in front of King. She could hear King's panicked breath behind her and while she wanted to look at him to try and comfort him she didn't, knowing that such a decision could be fatal for both of them. "King, if you can, then I want you to go to the observation room," Eclipse said as she looked at the giant machine in front of her.

King nodded hearing this and turned around before he began to try and run towards the small room. As he did the machine once again jumped into the air to try and land on top of him. When it did Eclipse sent some wires to try and stop the machine and while it did slow the machine it did little to stop it. Seeing this Xaintao ran out of the room and pulled out his gun and shot at it, and while most of the bullets only skimmed the giant machine one did connect with its head temporarily disorienting it.

While it had missed King, it had only missed by about a foot, leaving King between it's four massive legs. King once again began to panic seeing this and the spider droid began to lift its legs and slam them down clearly attempting to crush the male beneath it. As it did the door opened and Rain saw King and the massive machine that was above him. Rain immediately began to run towards the giant machine drawing his sword as he did.

Rain slide under the robot as it raised one of its legs and brought it down trying to crush King. When it did Rain used his sword to redirect the attack and turned to grab King before once again darting out from under the spider droid. "Get them early he said, program it to only attack King, nothing bad will happen," Rain said complaining to himself as he looked at the massive machine in front of him with his sword.

Rain then began to run towards the machine and jumped onto its barrel and began to run towards its head clearly trying to end it as quickly as possible. When he did the machine began to rotate the male sending him off the barrel. The spider droid began to rotate the other direction and it threw Rain against the wall before aiming at King. When it did Rain stood up and began to run towards the machine in an attempt to reach it before it could fire.

King began to panic and backed against a wall sliding to the ground as he held up his hands in a poor attempt to defend himself. When he did the spider droid fired at him, and the three that had been trying to defend him felt their heart drop. However unknown to the three that had been watching, as it fired a thin layer of white aura began to cover King before another ticker layer surrounded him forming a dome around him.

When it did Eclipse and Rain gritted their teeth and began to attack the massive machine turning it into nothing but a pile of metal within a matter of seconds. After the two had calmed down they both turned to look at the large cloud of dust that had formed around where King had been sitting just moments ago.

Rain the others all waited nervously for the dust to clear awaiting for the state of their prince. When they did they saw that King was sitting on the ground leaning against the wall behind him clearly terrified of what had just happened. Eclipse and the others became much more relaxed seeing this, more than happy that the male was safe. Eclipse ran up to the male and picked him up holding him against her as he did.

He was hyperventilating clearly panicked from what had just happened. "It's okay, it's okay, training's over for the day," Eclipse said as she continued to hold the male against him clearly trying her best to calm him.

"That's right, we're here now. Everything's going to be fine," Rain said as he looked at the child in front of him. Xiantao was about to walk up to the male to try and calm him as well. However, stopped seeing something that managed to catch his eye. Eclipse and Rain walked to the exit however before the male could leave Xiantao spoke up to gain his attention.

"Hey, Rain!" Xiantao said as Rain turned to look at him. When he did he noticed that Xiantao was on one of his knee's looking at the ground. "Come look at this," Xiantao said as he gestured for the male to come over. When he did Rain took one final look at King and sighed as he began to walk over to where Xiantao was. "What is it Xian? We sort of have bigger problems to deal with at the moment," Rain said as he looked at the male.

"Look at this," Xiantao said as he moved back to give Rain a better view of what he had been looking at.

"What's so important that you need to have me-" Rain began only to stop as he saw what Xian had been looking at. The ground was cracked, and chipped, with scorch marks that covered the ground, except for the area that King had been at, where a noticeable cutoff occurred. A perfect circle forming around the male the ground wasn't cracked, scorched. It was untouched by the attack that had just taken place.

"Look," Xiantao said as he gestured to a few of the black marking on the ground. "These scorch marks start large then get narrow as they go towards King. Which is typical of an explosion or similar attack, however, if you look closely there are also marks that start small and get larger as they get closer to King. It's almost like . . . but then . . ." Xiantao said as he looked at the ground trailing off as he did.

"What was that last part?" Rain asked as he looked at the male in front of him.

"Right sorry," Xiantao said as he looked at the male. "It's like the blast was going to hit him, but then for whatever reason, suddenly changed directions," Xiantao said as he looked at the male in front of him.

"Yeah, that's . . . that's really odd," Rain said as he stood up and looked at the spider droid. He had to admit he was a bit intrigued with what he was saying however at the moment he had more important things to deal with. "Xian," Rain said as he placed a hand on the male's shoulder.

"This is interesting, however at the moment, I think King's well being is more important. We can come back to this later," Rain said as he looked at the male in front of him causing Xiantao to nod and stand up.

"Of course, how could I have forgotten? Allowing myself to be distracted so easily, I should be ashamed," Xiantao said as he looked at the male in front of him. Rain was about to speak however before he could Rain and Xiantao began to walk out of the room together.

I typed it on my phone instead of my computer so it's not quiet up to my standards since the app tends not to catch the many mistakes.
