"You two, move it or we'll be late!" Tom shouted from his place at the bottom of the stairs, where he stood tying his tie.
"Coming!" They both shouted in unison before they both came running down the stairs.
"Finally, ready to go now?" Tom asked, as he grabbed his bag and jacket from the kitchen. Both teens nodded and followed Tom out to the car. Once they were all in thy started the short drive to school.
"Thanks" JJ mutters she picks her bag out of the car before going to walk off.
"JJ, you okay?" Tom asks.
"Yeah..." JJ mutters before walking off, leaving the father and son standing there. Tom and Josh go separate ways. Soon enough the bell goes, and JJ makes her way to form time. JJ sits at the back and keeps her head down as Tom gets on with form time. JJ stays quiet at the back as she's not really in the mood. She doesn't want to be around people, let alone be at school. If she had still been at her foster home, then she would have stayed at home to do this, but she decided that she'd do it regardless of where she was. As tutor time finished, JJ slowly made her way to her first lesson which was her free period with Mr Mead.

She walked slowly and soon enough the crowds had died down. JJ decided to go to the toilets. She hesitated before pulling the packet out of her bag. It had been a rough few days and JJ just wanted to relax and have some fun. JJ sighed. Looking down at her hands, which were shaking a little, she opened the plastic bag and took one of the pills. JJ sealed the bag before putting it back into her school bag. She hesitated before she chucked the pill into her mouth and washed it down with some water. JJ took a few deep breaths as she splashed some water on her face. She dried her hands and face, grabbed her bag and made her way to lesson. Almost instantly JJ had regretted taking the pill, but it was too late. She tried to steady the nervous feeling in her stomach as she made my way through the corridors. On the way she was stopped by Mr Clarkson who was walking with a man that JJ didn't recognise.
"Ah, JJ – this is Andrew Treneman, he used to work here" Tom said, as JJ focused her attention on the two people in front of her. She reached out her hand.
"Nice to meet you" JJ said, as Mr Treneman shakes her hand.
"Likewise," He says, before the two men carried on up the corridor behind JJ. It was only when JJ turned around to carry on, did she start to feel funny. Her head was spinning, and her heart was pounding in her chest. JJ swerved into some lockers with a thud which gained the attention of Tom and Mr Treneman who were slowly making their way up the corridor.
"JJ, you okay?" Tom as concerned, as JJ tried to turn and face him. Her heart literally felt like it was about to explode, and her vision was fuzzy. By now Tom and Mr Treneman had ran back down the corridor. Tom grabbed JJ's arm to steady her as she swerved again.
"JJ?" Tom asks again. JJ let her bag drop to the floor as she fell back into the wall.
"Woah" Both Tom and Mr Treneman say, as they both grab her arms to support her. Mr Treneman looks JJ in the eyes before turning to Tom.
"She's taken something..." He says concerned. Before anyone can react, JJ's body starts to jitter and jerk. Her head spins so fast that she falls to the ground. Everything goes black, but JJ can still hear everything around her.
"Tom, call an ambulance" Andrew says, supporting JJ's head. JJ can hear Tom pull out his phone and call for help whilst Andrew talks to her. After a few minutes, her body stills, and she forces her eyes open regardless of how sleepy she feels.
"JJ, can you hear me?" Andrew asks. She groans, as sirens appear in the distance. Both Tom and Andrew are supporting JJ as she lays on her side, but JJ starts to freak out. She starts to push them away.
"No, get off me!" JJ shouts, as they try to keep hold of her arms.
"JJ, it's okay, calm down" Tom says, trying to reassure the teen, but she keeps fighting them. A few minutes later, 2 paramedics arrive. Andrew goes on to explain what's happened, as JJ's eyes starts to droop shut. The paramedics put an oxygen mask over her face.
"JJ, we need to know, what did you take?" Andrew asks, as the paramedics treat me.
"In, my bag..." She mutters through the mask, before paramedics lift her up on the stretcher. Tom goes through JJ's bag until he finds the other pill. He hands it to the paramedics as they start to wheel JJ out to the ambulance. By now, Mr Byrne has come down and Tom fills him in on what's happened.
"Someone needs to go with her..." Mr Byrne say.
"I can...until you can arrange for cover?" Andrew says. Tom and Mr Byrne agree as JJ gets put into the ambulance. Andrew climbs inside before the ambulance doors shut and we start to move. The last thing JJ remembers is Andrew weekly smiling down at me before she blacks out again.

When JJ wakes up, she can hear a beeping noise and looks around slowly to see that she's in a hospital room and is attached to a heart rate monitor. She forces her eyes fully open and raises her hand to pull the oxygen mask away from her face.
"Easy..." Someone says, startling JJ a little. She looks over at them and sighs when she sees who it is. Tom. She looks away from him as quickly as possible. He doesn't try to talk to, but instead he leaves. A few minutes later he returns with a doctor.
"JJ, good to see you're awake. Can you remember what happened?" The doctor asks.
"I took a pill..." JJ says, trying her hardest not to cry.
"Okay. Well, you're extremely lucky. You haven't done any permanent damage, but you can't do this again, otherwise you could be seriously ill or worse..." The doctor says, making JJ nod her head.
"When can I go home?" She asks quietly, as the doctor sits her bed up and removes the oxygen mask from around her neck.
"Well, I want to observe you overnight but you're free to go tomorrow"
"Thank you" JJ says, before the doctor leaves.
The room is filled with silence until Tom sits down on the edge of JJ's bed. He sighs before speaking.
"Why JJ? How could you be so stupid?" Tom asks, trying his hardest to remain calm. By now JJ's eyes have become watery.
"I...I don't know. I wasn't thinking...I'm sorry" JJ says desperately, whispering the last part as she starts to silently cry.
"Are you going to do it again?" Tom asks sternly.
"No." JJ is quick to say. Another few minutes go by in silence accept the only noise that can be heard is JJ's sniffles as she's crying.
"Tom..." JJ says quietly, making him look at her.
"I'm really sorry" She says, making him look at her sympathetically before he pulls her into his chest. It takes JJ a few minutes to calm down, but they pull apart when there's a knock at the door. The door open's to reveal Andrew Treneman. JJ gives him a small smile as he walks into the room.
"Can you give us a minute?" JJ asks Tom, wanting to speak to Andrew in private. Tom nods and leaves the room, telling them that he'll be right outside.
"Thank you" JJ says, looking at Andrew.
"You know JJ, I've heard a lot about you...and from what I've heard, you have so much potential. But what you did today, put all of that at risk" Andrew says.
"I know...I'm not going to do it again. I don't even know what I was thinking" JJ says seriously.
"Good..." Andrew says, before they get Tom back in the room. By now it's nearly 8pm and as JJ is currently staying with Tom, no-one else has come by. Tom and Andrew left just after 8:30, leaving JJ on my own. After flicking through her social media for around 30 minutes, she decided to go to sleep. She put her phone on the side and lowered the head of the bed until she was flat. She closed her eyes, and soon found herself drifting off to sleep.
