"Just stop it! Leave me alone!" I scream, before grabbing my things and storming out of the classroom.
"JJ, stop!" Mr Mead shouts after me, but it's too late as I run out of the school and don't stop until I'm away from the school. I keep walking until I get to the place where I feel safe. I walk through the courtyard and across the grass before I stop and sit down.
"Hi mum..." I say quietly, wiping away the tears as I look up at the grave stone in front of me. I take off my tie and place it in my bag before undoing my top button. I take the silver chain around my neck in my hand and sigh as I think back to all the happy memories I had with my mum.
"I miss you mum..." I say in a whisper.
"I miss you so, so much" I say, as I start to cry harder. I continue to sit and talk to my mum whilst thinking back to the time when she was still here.

"JJ ran out of school...she seemed pretty upset" Mr Chris Mead says, meeting up with Tom Clarkson having found him at his desk in his classroom.
"Right. She did seem off this morning in form and English. I tired speaking to her, but she didn't say anything. What happened?" Tom says, moving to lean on the edge of his desk.
"She had been off all lesson and I swear I saw her pretty much in tears. I stopped her after the lesson and asked what was wrong. She wouldn't say anything, but she kept fidgeting with her necklace. I asked her again and she just snapped and ran out" Chris says, sighing as he runs his hand over his face.
"Right...I think I know where she's gone" Tom says, grabbing his coat and car keys.
"Where?" Chris asks, as the pair leave the classroom and start walking down the stairs.
"The chain...it was her mums. She fidgets with it when she's upset. Can you tell Byrne I'm to go find her...I think she's gone to see her mum at the cemetery." Tom says.
"Okay" Chris says, before the pair splits up. Tom gets into his car and heads out of school.

I didn't know how long I had been sat with my mum, but what I did know is it had gotten colder, and I was still crying. I pulled my jumper tighter around my body. A little while later, I heard footsteps behind me. I glanced back and saw Mr Clarkson stood a few steps away.
"How did you find me?" I sigh, as he makes his way over to me.
"Your necklace. Mr Mead noticed you fiddling with it before you stormed out" Clarkson says, making me nod my head. We spend a few minutes in silence before I notice that I've started to shake a little because I'm so cold.
"Here" Clarkson says, removing his coat and slinging it over my shoulders.
"Thanks Tom" I say, calling him by his first name. You see, ever since I joined waterloo road, I became best-friends with Josh – Mr Clarkson's son, and it turns out that my mum went to school with Tom. We're extremely close and I spend a lot of time around their house, even more so after my mum died. Another period of time is spent in silence before I turn to face Tom.
"I miss her Tom..." I say, breaking down again.
"Come here" Tom says, pulling me into his arms.
"I know you do, but she'd be so proud of you JJ. You've worked soo well over the past few months" I finally manage to calm down and stop crying.
"We should go back now..." I say, standing up and brushing off my legs.
"Yeah...although you might want to wipe your face" Tom says, handing me a tissue and using his phone camera to show me my face which has mascara all over my cheeks. I laugh a little before clearing my face. I say goodbye to my mum before walking back to the car. Tom closes my door behind me before getting in himself and driving back to the school.

"Here thanks...I'll be back in a minute. I want to go apologise to Mr Mead." I say, handing back his jacket.
"Okay...I'll be like 5-10 minutes" I say, walking off to go find Mr Mead. Lucky for me he's in his classroom at his desk. I walk in and put my stuff down on the table.
"JJ, are you okay?" He asks, standing up.
"Yeah...I am now. I'm sorry about earlier"
"It's okay...as long you're okay now" He says.
"Yeah, I am, or at least I will be" I say, gripping my chain.
"Anyways...I have to go but I'll see you around" I say to Mr Mead, before leaving his room and walking up to Mr Clarkson's room where I'll be spending lunch as I don't really want to be around people.

Throughout lunch, I managed to finish all of my catch-up/revision work. By the time the bell rang, I was finished so I quickly packed my things away and headed for my next lesson which happened to be maths. I said goodbye to Tom before I left, and I met up with Josh outside of our maths classroom. A few minutes later, Mr Tilson let us in to the classroom. As I walked past his desk where he was sat, I placed my revision/catch-up work on his desk and carried on to mine and Josh's desk. Mr Tilson started the lesson before walking over to me.
"Thank You" He says, referring to the work.
"No problem...sorry it took so long" I say awkwardly before he walks away. I kept my head down for the rest of the lesson and sighed with relief when the bell rang, signalling the end of the lesson. I gathered all my things before I walked out of the room right behind Josh, Finn and Lauren. We all had science last with Mr Mead as today we had it twice. Making our way down to science we were all laughing and joking, and I have to admit, it felt good be able to relax and have some fun with my friends. Throughout science we all got on with the group work that we were set however, we were still in a laughing and giggly mood, but I think Mr Mead let it slip as 1) we were still doing the work and 2) we were all happy for once. After science I slowly walked home with Lauren and Finn and said goodbye to them both when it gets to where I separate from them. I continued to walk home and let myself in when I arrived. I dumped my stuff in my room before joining Miya and Rikki in the living room where they were playing with some toys.
"Hey" I said, sitting down next to Rikki.
"Hiya, good day?" Miya asks.
"Yeah...well I had a little hiccup but I'll explain that later because me and this one, have a playdate, don't we?" I ask Rikki excitedly. Last time Josh was here Rikki wanted to go to the park, but it was raining so we couldn't. Rikki got upset but Josh and I made a promise that we would take Rikki today, so that's what we got ready to do. Miya got Rikki ready whilst I went to get ready myself. I got Rikki into his pushchair and we started the short journey to nearby park where Josh was waiting for us. The next hour was filled with laughter, lots of running and lots of playing. By the time we left, Rikki was fast asleep in his pushchair and both me and Josh were exhausted. We bid farewell to each other before heading home. I sat down and had dinner with Miya and Jesse and explained the little hiccup I had today, before going to be myself as I was shattered.
