*Dan's POV*
Judging from the dude's behaviour and manner of speaking, he basically seems like a younger, male version of Ms. Slater. Way too cheerful. But he seems to have more to him. Especially the fact that he seems like me. I just can't get over that. And, unlike Ms. Slater, Phil's excitement and smile were hella contagious.
I feel my face stretch to welcome a huge smile. This was so unlike me.
"Hey there, Phil. Nice to meet you. You can call me Dan."
"Yeah, same. Although you can't call me Dan", he answers. He's really jumpy for some reason. "We're going to go now, Ms. Slater", he calls out to her, as he pulls me by my arm, out into the corridor.
"Whaaa-", I react, confused.
"I'm so excited! We have so much to see!", he almost screams at me, his grin never leaving his face. And his smile being as contagious as it was, made mine stay put, too.
"Well, then, let's go."

*Phil's POV*
Dan seems like a really cool person, although slightly gloomy. But he has a fringe like mine! That just excites me so much. There are barely any people of his and my sort at this school. I'm just so glad.
Dan seems like the sort of person who could use a bit more energy and positivity in his life though. I wonder why he's like that. But I'm just gonna be my nicest, and hopefully make him happier? It seems to be working till now.
"Come on, then."
I, still holding onto his arm, lead him ahead.
"Where do you want to go first?" I ask Dan.
"Uh, I don't really know.... The nearest, I guess?" He replies shyly, running his fingers through his fringe.
"Okay, then!"
I lead him to the giant oak doors of the first room I see after the office. I push open the heavy doors with some effort, and Dan's mouth opens slightly in surprise.
"What. The. Fucking. Hell?" He states, dumbfounded. He looks around at the ginormous library. The ceiling is 12ft high, and ceiling to floor bookshelves line the walls. They are packed with books, barely any space for new ones.
"This is just.... It's just." Dan mutters under his breath,
"Just what?" I ask proudly.
"Just...amazing."
"I know, right? This is where I spent all my free time during school. It's so peaceful here, and I love being surrounded by books", I say, walking around with him.
" I know for a fact that I'll be doing the same", he says. His eyes are slightly glazed over. I can see that he is actually really amazed. Well, I had been, too. For anyone who loves books and solitude, this was absolute heaven.
Dan is now again standing in place, slowly looking around.
"Dan?" I ask him softly, not wanting to startle him. When he doesn't respond, I lightly tap him on his shoulder.
He jerks around suddenly.
"Ye-Yeah. Sorry." He apologises, still slightly lost.
"We gotta move on, buddy."
"Yeah, I know", he sighs.
I look at his wandering brown eyes, and realise how beautiful they actually are. There is an enchanting depth to the pools of chocolate that they are. He's so perfect.
No, no. I shouldn't think like this. He was clearly as gay as a chicken nugget. I would just break my own heart. I show him around the rest of the school, getting really positive reactions from him. Apart from the library, his other favourite places had been the instrumental room because it had amazing Steinway and Kawaii pianos, and the cafeteria, where he was intrigued by the variety of food available. He very obviously adores food. I just wish he were gay, too, or at least bi, and would adore me as much as he does food.
Ugh. No, Phil. Don't do this to yourself.
