"Bridget he raped me," Nick said. My brother's own father raped him. I heard a bang on my brother's end of the phone. "Nick, what was that?" "I have to go bye Bridget, I'm sorry." he said and hung up the phone. "Nick!" I fell to the floor crying.

My family came back into the room. "Bridget, what's wrong?" Lexy asked coming to sit next to me. Nick is dating Lexy and if I tell her, she might get really mad but she needs to know. "I got a call from Nick," I said. She still looked worried. "What did he say?" I took a deep breath. "He said his father raped him." Lexy burst into tears.

"Oh my god," she whispered. She looked at Lucy and James. "Mom, Dad can we help him in anyway?" They looked at each other. "We could tell Nick to come stay with us until your aunt and uncle can come get him," Lucy said. I nodded. "Where would Nick sleep?" Becky asked. Lucy looked at Lexy. "Lexy he can sleep in your room." Lexy smiled and nodded.

There was a knock on the door. "Come in," Lucy shouted. The door opened and closed and before we could go meet our visitor he came into the room. It was Nick. "Nick!" Lexy shouted and went running to him to hug him. He backed away from her. She stopped and looked very hurt. "Nick? I know what your dad did to you," she said. He looked up at her and began to cry.

Lexy went to him and wrap her arms around him. "Nick its going to be okay," she whispered. He didn't respond. He just cried and cried. When he finally stopped he just looked up at Lexy.

"I'm sorry Lexy," he said. "Why?" she asked clearly confused and shocked by his apologize. "You have school starting tomorrow and I don't want to interfere with that." Lexy laughed. "Nicholas Dallas Lucas Jackson I don't care if you interfere with my life because I love you for who you are." He thought for a moment. "You still love me even though my dad raped me?" Lexy nodded and made a face like she was in pain. Nick looked concerned.

"Lexy what's wrong?" He asked her moving her so he could see her face. She just smiled. "Nick the babies kicked." Oh boy she still has her heart set on twins. My brother just smiled. "Can I feel them kicking?" Lexy nodded and grab his hand and put it on her belly. Nick started to cry. "Hi guys I'm your daddy." I just watched them. They look so happy that they are about to become parents.

My brother looked at me. "Bridget I'm sorry I hung up the way I did on the phone." I looked at him. "Its okay Nick." He nodded. Lexy looked at me. "Are you mad that we are dating?" My jaw dropped. "Why would I be mad? I'm very happy for you guys." "You are?" Nick asked. I smiled and nodded my head.

There was a knock on the door. Lucy went to go get it and Nick helped Lexy stand up. "Guys, come in here!" Lucy shouted. We went into the living room and standing there was a family with two sons and two daughters. "Guys this is Margo and Bryan Theodore and there kids Austin, Luke, Nella and their youngest daughter Susan," Lucy said. My head shot up. Nella? No way my twin sister is dead but when I looked at this girl she looks exactly like me.

"Hello there I'm James. You know my wife Lucy and these are our children Bridget, Lexy, Nick, Becky, Franciso, Noah and finally Snow." "It's a pleasure to meet you all. My name is Margo. We just moved here from Boise, Idaho. We actually came here to invite you to our welcome party as we call it," she said laughing. Lucy nodded. "We would love to. What time does it start?" Lucy asked. "At six," Margo said. They nodded. "Well unfortunately we must get going other new neighbors to meet," Bryan said. "Of course well we will definitely be there," Lucy said. They nodded and James held the door opened for them.

"Well that was nice. It is always nice when we get new neighbors agree James?" "Yes Lucy, always nice." Nick looked at me. "Bridget, you okay?" My foster parents looked at me. "Yes I'm alright just a bit tired." "Well it's only three how about you go take a nap and we wake you up around five," James said. I nodded and went upstairs.

At five fifteen, there was a knock on my door. Someone walked in. "Bridget come on we have forty five minutes until we leave." I looked up and saw my brother Noah. I smiled. "Alright I'm awake." He smiled and went out of the room.

I went to my closet to see what I have that I could wear to this party when Lucy knocked on the door. However before I could tell her to come in, she walked right in. I looked up at her. "I'm sorry I just came in but I had something for you," she said. I smiled. "Its alright so what is this thing you have for me mom?" She started to laugh. "I took Lexy, Becky, Snow and the boys shopping for clothes for school and tonight and I got you some things as well." She was bright red.

I looked at the bag. "You didn't have to do that for me." She took a deep breath. "I know but I didn't want you to feel left out." I smiled. Lucy really does care about me and so does James, but I have a different type of bond with Lucy.

"So can I look at what you got me or no?" I asked. She smiled. "Of course and I can leave if you want me to." I shook my head. "Please stay because I might need help." She smiled and nodded her head. I took out the first outfit.

It was a pretty blue and white dress. I went into my bathroom and put it on. I came out a moment later. "Oh Bridget you look so beautiful!" Lucy exclaimed. I smiled. "Tell that to the boys at my school." She laughed. "Well you are now a senior in highschool," she said with a sad smile. "Lucy... you are my mom now and have been since the moment I came to live here. You have made me into a better person and I thank you for that," I said hugging her. She nodded and wiped her eyes. I looked at the dress I was wearing. "I think I will wear this one tonight." She nodded. "Well then everyone else is ready so let's get going." I nodded.

At five thirty we arrived. "Lucy, James you made it!" Margo exclaimed. "Of course, we wouldn't miss it!" Lucy said. Then someone came behind Margo. She turned around. "Oh Eduardo I didn't know that you were coming."  I looked up and saw a guy behind her but couldn't see his face.

  He moved from behind and looked up. "Hi, I'm Eduardo I'm Margo's nephew." He was cute. He has the smile that makes your heart skip a beat.

  Lexy looked at me and smiled her 'I got an idea smile'. She looked at Becky and they nodded. "Hi Eduardo, I'm Lexy and this is my older sister Bridget and my younger sisters Becky, and Snow, and of course my younger brothers Franciso, and Noah and my boyfriend Nick." He looked at everyone but stopped at me and smiled.

  His eyes are brown like milk chocolate. He looks so strong. Is this how a crush feels like?? He cleared his throat. "I'm going to guess you are Bridget?" I nodded. He smiled and walked up to me and held out his hand and I shook it. He laughed and pulled me in for a hug. I jumped a little and he looked at me a little hurt.

"Oh god, I'm sorry I didn't meant to react that way I just..." He began to laugh. "What's so funny?" I asked. "I'm sorry it was your reaction it was... umm.." he started but stopped. "It was what?"

  He started to blush. "It was cute." My jaw dropped before I quickly shut it. "Eduardo are you calling me cute or just my reaction?" "Both." I started to feel faint. He noticed. "Bridget are you okay?" he asked. All of sudden everything went black and the last thing I felt was Eduardo's arms around me and him calling out my name.
