"Does anyone know the standard drink of an adult?" Mr Labonair asked the class, a few people raised their hands but it was the first day of the term, and half of them were still in vacation mode.

Tiffy had no idea what the answer was so he didn't raise his hand, he was instead paying attention to the boy sitting on the other side of the classroom, he blushed as he thought about their not-date. "Awwww, who has you blushing like that?" Quartz followed Tiffy's line of sight and saw Aiden, letting out a silent squeal. "Oh my gosh! Nessa, do you see this?" Quartz whispered to her girlfriend.

Nessa looked up from her notebook which she was writing her notes in, "What? Oh-" Nessa followed Tiffy's glaze and saw Aiden, she smiled knowingly. "So, I'm assuming you and Aiden had a good time?"

Tiffy's cheeks flushed as he turned his attention away from Aiden, "It was good."

"I'm sure it was," Nessa smirked.

"You should sit next to Aiden, share notes, ask him on a date-"

"I can't do that!" Tiffy exclaimed, the class all stared at him, confused by his little outburst. Tiffy ducked his head, trying to hide from the prying eyes of his classmates. Tiffy saw Mr Labonair looking at him, "Sorry."

The teacher nodded before turning the students' attention back to him and the lesson, "Okay, now who knows the measurement of a spirit?"

Benji raised his hand, "A spirit is 30ml!"

"Correct! Good job, Benji."

Benji smiled proudly at the praise. "How did you know that?" Andy asked him.

He shrugged, "I think I saw an ad about it."

Andy nodded before turning her attention back to her notebook. Due to her promise to Benji, she hasn't akumatised anyone in almost a whole week. She bought a diary yesterday, it's a cheap Kmart diary, with an easily breakable lock but Andy replaced the lock with an expensive one and changed the pattern on the front and it became a decent buy.

Benji looked over her shoulder and at her writing, he frowned, she was writing down ideas for future akumas. "I thought we agreed to a miraculous-free week."

"No, we agreed that I wouldn't use my miraculous for a week."

Benji shook his head, "You're lying. We agreed that you would stop all of it for a week, that I could have you for a week."

"I'm just writing, Benj, calm down."

Benji bit his lip, he didn't want to push Andy too far but Andy needs to take a break, a proper break, where she doesn't need to worry about anything miraculous related. "Andrea, please."

Andy looked up at Benji, his large brown eyes pleading with her to close the notebook. She sighed, "Fine."

He grinned.

"Have you ever thought about the fact that Mariposa could be any one of us?" Lee choked on his mouthful of water as he heard his best friend's questions.

"What sort of question is that?"

Pierre chuckled at Lee's reaction, "I mean- think about it, Lee. Mariposa was the most active on school holidays, well mainly on the 13th but that was in the school holidays! Plus most of the people that Mariposa akumatised are students or teachers here, it's too obvious-"

Lee thought about what Pierre was saying, it does make sense that Mariposa worked or was a student at their school. Lee looked around the classroom, who here has a reason to be a supervillain? The first two people that came to mind were their teacher- Joshua Labonair and Andy. Lee doubted Mariposa was Andy or Mr L though because Andy has already been akumatised and Mr L isn't a girl. Lee shook his head, "Since when were you so into the miraculous?"

"I'm not," Pierre shrugged, "I was just thinking."

"Sure..."

Lee watched Andy, the girl who had lost her father just under four months ago, Lee remembered his father finding out through Facebook and telling Lee about it, his father had assumed they were friends. Lee didn't really know the girl though, and Mr Davis was one of Lee's least favourite teachers but he couldn't help but relate to Andy, he also knew what it was like to lose a parent in such a public way. When Lee's mother died from cancer two years ago, everyone knew, and everyone talked about it like gossip.

Lee scolded himself, it's stupid to compare himself to Andy, especially since the only thing they have in common is the loss of a parent. "Pierre, if you could use the miraculous to bring back your parents would you?"

"I-"

"I wouldn't, I don't think my mum would forgive me if I brought her back that way."

Pierre hadn't actually thought about that, he knew that the ladybug and black cat miraculous could grant a wish but hadn't thought about what that wish could be. Pierre frowned and Lee picked up on the sudden change in his friend's mood. "Actually, don't worry about it, it's stupid-"

"No, no. Um..." Pierre tried to change his mood, offering Lee a half-hearted smile. Lee raised an eyebrow, making Pierre sigh, "It's just- I didn't even think about that. I was six when my parents died. I don't even have many memories of them."

"Oh."

"Yeah." Pierre cursed, now everything is uncomfortable.

Lee wanted to change the topic since he could tell that Pierre was uncomfortable. He looked around the classroom, "So, who here do you think could be Mariposa?"

Pierre grinned, he actually had a small list of suspects, "Okay, so here is my list-"

In Aiden's defense, he wasn't trying to overhear Lee and Pierre's conversation, but they aren't very good at whispering.

Aiden couldn't care less about alcohol, so the class proved to be useless to him, but a conversation about the identity of Mariposa was less useless. "Mr L could be Mariposa, I know it sounds stupid but was the gender of Mariposa actually ever actually revealed?"

"I-" there was a quiet pause, "Huh, I don't remember if Mariposa's gender was ever discovered..."

"That's because it wasn't! The news just started calling her a "her" My guess is that the heroes needed a pronoun to give Mariposa so they decided to call her a "she."

Aiden froze as he tried to remember where they got the pronoun from, but he couldn't. He couldn't remember any of the akumas referring to Mariposa as a she, it started with the heroes. Aiden looked over at Mr L, the young teacher was always absent and none of them knew why, Aiden always guessed that Mr L had bad health.

"My other guesses are Andy and Benji, they've been weird lately, Andy is hardly in class and she looks tired."

Aiden then looked over at the younger two kids in the class. Aiden has kept an eye on Andy ever since she was akumatised into Oruga, she was one of the longest battles and he did not want to have to go through it again. Aiden feels on edge around Benji and has ever since they met two weeks ago, the young boy seems to know more than he lets on about a lot of things and Aiden doesn't trust him.

"Ms Kennedy could also be Mariposa, same with Marjorie the canteen lady." Aiden heard Lee laugh at that and Aiden couldn't help but stifle a giggle himself.

"Marjorie the canteen lady? Come on, Pierre. Who else do you suggest, Aja and her minions?"

"Hey, hey, hey," Pierre said between chuckles, "I'm just listing people who have a villain origin story level reason. Mr L's daughter is sick, Andy and Benji are both orphans, Ms Kennedy's husband died and Marjorie seems like she has suffered some tragedy, I mean she's always grumpy."

"Mariposa doesn't need a villain origin story, she could just want the miraculouses to wish for world peace or to end world hunger. She could be a totally normal person, or she could be secretly dealing with a tragedy-"

"In this school? No way. This school gossips about tragedy more than YouTubers gossip about drama."

Aiden's phone went off as he looked down at the screen.

Aiden tilted his head, why is Tiffy messaging him in class?

He looked up and saw that Quartz had stolen Tiffy's phone, he frowned.

Quartz, give Tiffy his phone back before Mr L gets you in trouble.

Aiden put down his phone, annoyed by the spam, every second a new ding, ding, ding, he began to worry that the dinging was going to catch his teacher's attention. He sighed before picking up his phone.

aiden.
If I come over will you give Tiffy back his phone?

tiff.
yes.

Aiden groaned before collecting his book and pencil case and walking over to Nessa, Quartz and Tiffy. "Give Tiffy his phone before I sit down, I'm not going to deal with you spamming my phone."

Quartz grinned triumphantly as they gave Tiffy his phone back. Tiffy's face paled as Aiden sat down next to him, "Sorry," Tiffy said to Aiden.

The boy smiled, "It's fine, I was getting bored by myself anyway."
