CHAPTER NINE
"Mistress, please reconsider," Andy turned her back to Nooroo as he tried reasoning with her, she placed her miraculous on her light grey shirt, it was the first time she had worn the brooch since the last akuma. Listening to her kwami's begging was the very reason that Andy decided to only wear the miraculous when she had to so that Nooroo can't make her feel guilty for what she needs to do.
She grabbed her father's research, her fingertips softly grazed over the dried ink feeling her father's instructions.
When Colin Davis died he didn't have much to give his only child just pages and pages of research, his own game of chess as he would call it. You see where Hawkmoth failed Cole learnt, Cole was a researcher and only hours before he was hit by a car he had decided to instigate his power. The car crash didn't kill Cole, the doctors said that he was in perfect condition, that he would get better, what they didn't realise was that Cole had inherited his grandfather's heart condition. During Colin Davis' last surgery the forty-four-year-old history teacher had an unexpected heart attack and died leaving Andrea Davis an orphan and about to inherit the key to getting both of her parents back.
"This is what my father would have wanted," Andy told her kwami.
"No it isn't, if your father wanted you to get the miraculouses he would have told you, not keep me a secret. Master only wanted you to have a normal childhood, that's why he worked so hard to try and get your mother back."
Andy wanted to believe that Nooroo was telling the truth but she couldn't, she had to believe that her father left her his research on purpose, she had to believe that she is honouring her father by becoming the villain she is. "It's like a game of chess, Nooroo, that's what my father would say. He left me his research on purpose," she looked at the time, it's seven p.m, a little later than she planned but this could work all the same.
"Nooroo, dark wings rise."
The light blue magical fabrics wrapped around her body, her shoulder-length black hair being put up in a bun and a white mask growing on her face. The colour scheme she wore looked more like a heroes outfit than a villains which at first confused her but then realised she could probably use that to her advantage, no one wants to fight a fifteen-year-old dressed in light blue.
There are so many people with negative emotions in Sydney but there was only one emotion she was looking for, grief, her grief. Andy grabbed a pretty butterfly and corrupted it with her dark powers. "Dark wings fall."
"Mistress-" Andy took off her miraculous and placed it aside. She looked at the akuma in her hand, it felt wrong, taking away the pureness from the once beautiful butterfly but Andy knew she didn't have a choice. She released the akuma and it flew into her bracelet.
"Oruga," she named herself as she transformed into a new form, her hair splitting into two plaits and a purple outfit hugging her body, her outfit was pretty much a remodel of Hawkmoth's outfit. "With these powers I will have the ability to make my own villains and help Mala Mariposa get the miraculous of Night Noir and Ladybeetle."
"I will not fail."

It was ten o'clock and Pierre was wide awake, the sixteen-year-old boy was scrolling through his for you page on TikTok. It's boring being Pierre Monet, he was six when his parents died, he was taken in by his Aunt Anne-Marie. Anne-Marie was always distant from Pierre, he guessed that she didn't want to overstep or replace his parents. As a kid they were closer, Anne-Marie was home, she tutored him and in a way raised him but when Pierre was thirteen that all changed. Anne-Marie had gotten a new job, it paid well but required her to travel a lot, she took the job and is now barely ever home. It's not like she forgot about him, she gives him money and calls to check in on him every now and then but Pierre has been pretty much alone these last three years, alone except he had Lee and school, as much as he hates it, and now Trixx.
Bang!
The loud noise of what sounded like a falling building made Pierre drop his phone on his face. "Trixx! What was that?"
"How am I meant to know?" the orange kwami asked rhetorically, he acted as if he was unaffected by the loud noise and shake of ground but Pierre could tell he was dying of curiosity, Trixx had told him that all kwamis are very curious.
Pierre rolled his eyes and jumped off of his bed and ran to the window, he gasped, "Catherine's house, it's falling!" Pierre stared at the house only four lots away from his, the house was home to a single mother and her two daughters Freya and Kylie. "They could still be in there! Trixx, let's pounce!"
Renard jumped out of his window and to Catherine's house, he had first planned to enter through little Kylie's window but he had forgotten that Catherine's house has flyscreen windows, if he was under any other pretence he would just break the flyscreen but Renard worried that even this smallest push or change of weight would make it completely fall over with the family inside of it. He went down to the verandah where he saw six-year-old Freya, "Freya! Here, come here."
The little girl was sobbing as she ran to the superhero, Renard cringed worrying that the sudden action might make the building fall faster but it seemed fine. "Mummy! Kylie! Help them!"
Renard tried calming down the girl by fixing her hair... He's not good with children. "Freya, I'll get you out of here and then come back for your mother and sister, okay?"
"No!" she cried, "Get mummy and Kye!" Freya tried running off to get her family but Renard grabbed her and got her out safely. She was crying and screaming for her mum, that was until Freya heard something that calmed her down. Kylie's cries came from behind her, opposite to the house she was facing.
"Freya!" Catherine yelled as she ran up to her daughter and smothered her with hugs and kisses. Renard looked for Kylie's cries and then he saw Tartaruga, who looks very uncomfortable holding a toddler.
Renard walked up to Tartaruga and punched his arm jokingly, "I'm not sure if anyone has ever told you this before but you would make a great parent."
"Whatever, hold this thing," Tartaruga said as he passed the ginger-haired two-year-old girl to Renard.
"She's not a thing," he scolds. Renard passed Kylie to Catherine, "Don't worry, I'm sure Ladybeetle will be able to fix this."
Renard walked back to Tartaruga, "What are you doing here?"
"I was in the neighbourhood," Tartaruga said with a smirk, "What about y-"
Bang!
The house next door to Catherine's started falling, Renard didn't rush to the house because he knew that Lachlan and Sam were out of town but so did Tartaruga, wait- does he live in the same neighbourhood as Tartaruga?
"Ladybeetle! Night Noir! I am Cataclys and you will hand me your miraculous or every building in Sydney will fall!" A boy with dressed in what looked like a demolisher worker vest yelled.
"So this was an akumas fault?" Tartaruga spoke of the conclusion that the two had come to.
Renard turned his flute into a phone and dialled Ladybeetle, "Ah... Red? We have an akuma over here."
"What?!" Ladybeetle screeched into the phone, "How is that possible? Me and Night Noir have two akumas over here."
"Honeybee and Peafowl have an akuma too," Renard looked at Tartaruga and saw him using his shield to FaceTime Peafowl.
"Fuck-"
[ With Honeybee
and Peafowl ]
"Our akuma makes chaotic wishes. We have wallets chasing people and talking rabbits," Peafowl told Tartaruga.
Honeybee was fighting with one of the wishes that the akumatised villain 'Trellis White' had granted. The child who had made the wish, wished for a gummy bear version of themself, what they got was a very dangerous and angry child made out of a gummy bear who apparently knew how to fight. Honeybee tied up the gummy bear with her stinger, pulling on it and making the wish fall to the floor, she pulled on the stinger, the wire on her weapon destroying the gummy substance. "Maybe less chit chat and more fighting?"
"Right, when you guys can catch a break with your akumas message the plan to us."
"Wait, don't-" Peafowl hangs up the call before letting Ladybeetle tell them to do otherwise.
Peafowl turned to Honeybee and grinned, "Okay, let's kick some ass!"

I had a plan for this chapter and I'm only like a third of the way through... So the next two, maybe three chapters are going to be about Mariposa and her villains. A little spoiler warning. Benji will get his miraculous in the next chapter ;)
Also when writing this, I was really conflicted on whether or not her plan is a smart idea or an absolutely stupid one. Basically, she's doing what Gabriel did but a lot more obvious because I mean it's never the obvious ones, right?
