Malia's Pov

Today was Zed's interview with the interviewer from Mountain College. We're lucky that he was able to get a second chance because the first time was a bust.

And while I'd love to be there and support him, I couldn't.

One, none of us were really allowed to be in his house since that's where the interview will be taking place. 

Two, I had to practice for the cheer competition.

Three, I'm sort of trying to distance myself from Wyatt because of our argument yesterday.

It's understandable for him to be jealous, but why can't he understand that I love him and only him.

I literally know nothing about A-lan and as far as I'm concerned I don't know him well enough to like him, let alone fall in love with him.

But after our argument yesterday, I just needed time away from him. I'm hoping it would help clear my head.

Luckily, cheerleading is the only thing that gets my mind off stuff.

Well, 2nd thing, the 1st is when I'm spending time with Emily but she's currently with Eliza's mother.

Anyways, I'm walking into school right now to make my way into the gymnasium

When I got inside the gymnasium my eyes widened slightly when I saw that the aliens were already there. 

They were dressed in the clothes that they were wearing from yesterday.

A-li was the first one to notice me and she immediately smiled.

"Oh, friend Malia, what a pleasant surprise" A-li brightly smiled.

She caught A-spen and A-lan's attention, causing them to look at me, and smiles appeared on their faces too.

The three of them walked towards me and I walked towards them. We met in the middle.

"Hey, guys. Are you here to practice for the cheer off too?" I asked.

"Oh, no. We are very confident that we will win" A-spen smiled.

"Yes. We're positive that we will achieve that thing you humans call a trophy" A-lan smiled.

"It's actually called the Seabrook Cup, but it doesn't matter" I shrugged.

The three of them looked confused for a second before shrugging it off.

"Where are your other human friends?" A-spen asked, looking around.

"Oh, everyone is with Zed. He's getting ready for his interview in order to get into Mountain High College" I explained.

"And why are you not with them?" A-li asked.

"I wanted to practice for the cheer off. Addison and I are doing one of the hardest moves in cheerleading and we need it to be perfect" I explained.

Addison and I have practiced that move of every hour of everyday.

Addison is confident that she's got the hang of it. Now, while I am too, I want to practice just a little more.

"Is your boyfriend, Wyatt, with you?" A-lan asked.

"Uh, no, he's not. He's with the others" I said.

"How come? I believe you two are always together" A-li asked.

"I-It's complicated. Don't worry about it" I reassured them.

The last thing I want is for them, especially A-lan, to think that the reason Wyatt and I argued was because of them.

I don't want them to feel bad, guilty or anything.

This is between Wyatt and I and I'm sure that once he's cooled down we'll be able to work things out by talking.

I shook my head before looking back at the aliens.

"Well, now that I'm here, I was wondering if you guys would like to practice with me" I smiled.

"Oh no, we do not wish to disrupt your practice time" A-spen shook their head.

"Oh come on. I could really use some people to practice with me. Not to mention, it'll be fun" I said.

"Are you positive? We'd hate to intrude" A-li asked.

"I'm positive" I nodded.

Soon an idea formed into my head, causing me to gasp.

The aliens all looked at me, confusion and concern flashing through all their eyes.

"I know what we can do!" I squealed.

I don't know why I'm so excited about this that I ended up squealing.

But if this gives me the chance to hang out more with the aliens, as well as teaching them how to have fun, I'm so in for it.

I took my phone out and began playing some music. I set it on the bench where my bag was.

As soon as the music began playing I ran towards A-lan, A-li and A-spen.

I grabbed A-li and A-spen by their hands and guided them with me.

They looked at each other, confused. Before they smiled and seemed to understand what to do because they soon started singing as well.

I smiled at the two of them before letting them go. 

I then grabbed A-lan's arm, causing him to look down at me. He smiled at me and I smiled back at him.

"Come on, everyone!" I yelled.

The aliens soon joined in by running towards us. Once we all stood together we all began dancing.

A-li and another alien girl lifted me by my feet off the ground before throwing me into the air.

Once I was high in the air I bent my body forward before bending my back.

A-li and the other alien girl caught me as soon as I landed back down.

I smiled at the two of them and they smiled at me. We ran back towards the others to continue what we were doing.

So I got one more run and it's gonna be a sight to see

I ran towards A-lan and he got himself ready. I jumped on him and he quickly caught me.

He spun us around so that way I was now resting on his shoulder, a smile on my face with my arms held out.

A-li, A-spen and a few others did the same thing that I did with the other alien boys.

I put my hands down in front of A-lan and he grabbed them. He lifted me off his shoulders and set me down on the ground.

A-li, A-spen and a few others ran towards me. I smiled when I saw them laughing, clearly having a great time.

A-lan and the boys formed their separate pyramids before gesturing for us to go over to them.

We did just that and went to different pyramids.

The boys helped us so that we were standing, they made sure they had good grips on our legs so that we wouldn't fall.

We all jumped into the air and did flips before landing back down.

When I landed I looked at the person that caught me. I smiled when I realized that it was A-lan.

A-lan smiled back at me before setting me back down on the ground.

As soon as the music ended the entire gym erupted into cheers and clapping.

The aliens smiled at me, some giving me pats on the back, before going to hug each other.

A-spen and A-li hugged each other while A-lan surprised me by wrapping his arms around me and lifting me up.

I giggled before hugging him back.

This was really fun. I had fun and the aliens had fun.

I don't get why Willa doesn't like them. I understand she's just paranoid and being protective over those she loves, but the aliens aren't dangerous.

When she really gets to know them, she'll know that they're really good and fun people to be around.
